Yeah thank you roger goodell for giving us boring superbowl logos.

Now they have a general theme every 5 years
I actually liked super bowl logos 45-49 but I do think that they should start the cool designs again for Super Bowl 55.
Yea now its it's the same every year hate it
List of things that are officially outdated. • A 7th seed was added to the bracket • Tampa Bay played (and won) in their home stadium for the first time. • Brady now has ring #7 • Super Bowl LV technically didn't "sell out" thanks to the coronavirus. • 68 year old Bruce Arians is now the oldest head coach to win a Super Bowl
Also the 2020 Bucs became the 7th wild card team to win a super bowl
While it wasn't technically a sell out, it was officially a sell out given what they were allowing. So, no. That's not outdated. Though, it can have a category and story of its own. Edit: While it's outdated on how many rings Brady has, what isn't outdated is Brady having the most rings. By getting number 7, the chances of the later part becoming outdated was made more slim. Even more slim if Brady gets number 8.
Brady is the 🐐is what I got

Let Kaepernick play #49ersLEGEND
Here is a fun superbowl fact: 62.2% of the Superbowls won, are owned by teams that play in cold weather, which includes freezing temperatures, snow, sleet, etc. Only Oakland, San Francisco and Dallas are the 3 non-cold teams to have won multiple superbowls. EDIT: I stand corrected. It's 4 non- cold weather teams that have won multiple Superbowls. Oakland, Dallas, San Fran, and Miami have won multiple superbowls.
@Jacques TV or Detroit.
Kabloosh and Bills
Ok so Pittsburgh and New England is 12 of those.
When the Super Bowl began 67% of AFL/NFL teams were cold weather teams. Since then, 3 cold weather teams have been added (Seahawks,Bengals, and Browns, remember Colts moved to Indianapolis, old Browns moved to Baltimore, then new Browns were added), while 5 warm weather teams have been added (Texans, Jaguars, Bucs, Saints, and Panthers) and one team became colder weather(Houston Oilers became Tennessee Titans)and one team became warm weather (Cardinals). Oh, yea and Rams went cold and then back to warm.
Probably because the teams have a massive homefield advantage in the playoffs being used to playing in the cold weather while warm weather teams have to come play in their stadiums.

There have been a few conference changes. Three NFL teams went to the AFC when the leagues merged (Colts, Browns, Steelers). In 1976, the Seahawks joined the NFC and the Bucs the AFC, but the two teams swapped conferences after one season. The Santonio Holmes catch and the James Harrison TD (which wasnt shown or mentioned) are the 2 best plays in SB history, but wow, that Edelman catch was simply amazing as well (as was the David Tyree helmet catch). Come to think of it, the Steelers also had another of the top catches with Lynn Swann vs the Cowboys (also interesting to note, those 2 teams have played together in 3 of them)

All their playoffs games were only one score games.. 20-14 against the Browns(10-4-0) 21-17 against the Steelers (11-3-0) 14-7 against the WFT (11-3-0) They won 6 of their 14 games by 10 points or fewer. They techinally had two 1000 yard rushers but Don Shula convinced the NFL to change a reverse that Morris did that lost him 9 yards to an incomplete pass. Since Morris had been at 991 yards, he broke even at 1000 yards... that's a cheat. All of their regular season opponents were miserable.
Irrelevant. The Dolphins did not choose who they played. The league sets the schedule. You play the hand you are dealt.

While most reading this weren’t alive for Super Bowl 3, it’s to overestimate how dramatically that changed the view of the AFL and the Super Bowl. That year, the Colts had totally dominated the NFL and were anywhere from 21 to 35 point favorites going into the game. However, they had not scored even a point by the middle of the 4th quarter. After that game, everybody realized that the AFL was the equal of the NFL. I’ve watched all the Super Bowls from the very first one. Super Bowl 3 was the biggest upset of them all.
Not really. After KC's win an NFL or former NFL team won 22 of the next 27 SBs, and most of them weren't even close. (Miami 2, Oakland 3 between 1970-1996.)
Still, when it was 2 separate leagues, Joe and the Jets then Len and the Chiefs made them equals just in time for the merger. It is ironic that for those many years to come, it was an imbalance toward the old NFL, when there was no distinction between the leagues.

18:19 XLI was the first superbowl i ever watched and i definitely remember that opening kickoff TD. i was probably 10 and i remember crying when the bears lost lol
I love the bears
9:30 Tom Brady and the Bucs "hold my beer"
12:20 The Halftime Show: Superbowl 1 had a couple of guys with jetpacks flying in the stadium. I would rather see jetpacks again than most of the halftime shows from the past twenty years.
I'd rather see that than ANY halftime show from the past 20years.
Its patatic when people say the collage champinship hafetime show is better than the Superbowls hafetime show
Truly an excellent video!! 👍👏
There has now been a home stadium SB win. 2021 SB LV
Why am watching this at 3 Am while i have a test tomorrow

9:26 “To this day, no NFL team has played a Super Bowl in their home stadium.” 2020-21 Bucs: “Are you challenging me?”
And 2021-22 Rams
The 54th World Series of Football is about to happen. 😯
I’m so glad it’s called the Super Bowl and not that.
54th superbowl. Pretty sure there was like more championships that arent counted.
Super Bowl LIV: Seahawks and Ravens, I'm calling it
@@ck-1649 As much as I dislike both of those teams that would be a great game.
54th The Big One coming up
Excellent video. I like the NFL but don't follow it that closely here in Europe. This was very good to watch really informative.
I’m new to football and need to know the game so I appreciate this channel. Thank you :)
Didn't know about AFL and NFL merger. Now I see what xfl was trying to do.
yea, they wished. The gamble may have payed off had they played it straight but they had too much WWE.
And CFL..Steve Young!! (Herschel W)
@@lesliehorwinkle 😂😂😂
@@lesliehorwinkle I honestly think the second incarnation of the XFL was poised to be a great product, but COVID went ahead and ruined that.
@@nathanlenneman9987 I agree. They had a decent product, decent numbers. They didnt try to reinvent football the way the first incarnation did. Who knows?
Forgot to mention after the patriots vs eagles super bowl that the nfc East is the only division where every team won a super bowl
Also when the bills went to the super bowl 4 straight times they only played nfc East teams
@@Achillix Brady only lost the Super Bowl to NFC East teams.
Let's try and forget how the NFC East faired this passed season.
This has got to be the most comprehensive Super Bowl history video out there!
In 2020, the 12 team playoff format was expanded to 14 with one Wild Card spot each, with the teams who win the NFC and AFC with the #1 position getting a first round bye.
This type of content is the context we desire
Well Super Bowl 54 is a month ahead
as a Philly fan if the saints r in it I’m not watching it
@@espnluver7525 what's the beef between you two
Reintaler saints eliminated the eagles last year
Travis Stoudt what about if Seahawks are in?
Fly Eagles Fly Seahawks already beat the Eagles @Eagles 17-9
The 2019-20 Chiefs are the only Super Bowl winning team post-merger to win all their playoff games and the SB while down 10 or more points in each game. That stat still messes with me.
That was a fun run. It's been all downhill for Houston ever since.
"To this day, no team has played the Super Bowl in its home stadium." Proceeds to have the Super Bowl be in a team's home stadium two years in a row.
