Has anyone noticed that The Paper Outpost is nearing 100,000 subscribers? Gooooooo Pam!
I love when I find Old books that are TIMELY!
Today was my day to start crafting with you. I am so happy to have found a way to repurpose an old book from my childhood and my mother's childhood. It is falling apart, and I was about to throw in recycle bin when I found you. I'm so excited to see what I create.
Thank you Pam for helping us gals out here in Journal land ❤️😇🙏🎁🎉❤️
Finally a tutorial that I goes slow enough for me to actually follow and make a junk journal book, something I've been wanting to do forever!! Thanks!
That "evil laugh", as you revealed the box cutter, gave me a giggle! LOL Thank you. ❤❤❤
I am getting rich Nigerian Prince vibes in the "send in your stories" contest...lol...thanks for sharing this tutorial, I am a slow crafter
You are the best !!! You have never been alone ...books and paper have been special to me since childhood I will be 65 this year 2022 finding you wonderful ladies on KZhead has been such a fulfillment in my crafting sewing creating journey through life love love love 💘you....thanks so much for all your efforts and time...I'll be tuning in and sending good vibes☺😊😀😃😇
Thank you sweetie for slowing everything down! I’m not generally a slow person considering I have adhd, but this does help and makes sense and easy to remember. So thanks. Hugz
I can’t wait for the rest of the videos! I’m always glad to hear your voice and I do talk to you so you are not alone!
I love watching Sunny as much as your tutorials
Thank you showing us the slow process. I'm so tired of these sped up videos where they edit valuable info! Thank you, I love your channel. I'm a beginner and value your personable teaching!
You said that you are so grateful for us.... Well, it goes both ways. You are a breath of sunshine (no pun intended), my dear. Or, wait... I think it's fresh air. You are a breath of fresh air. Yes, I think that's it. Well, take your pick. You are both. You are a lot of fun to hang out with and to play with. Plus, there's sweet Sunny boy, or is it Sonny? Thank YOU for being you, Pam. You are one special lady! And, we love you. 💕
We can never get enough inspiration. My world today is coffee, paper, coffee, paper. 🤣🤣🇦🇺🇦🇺
Poetry is my thing! I have a big binder full of my own work and my momma found it one day (EEEEKKK) And to my surprise, she said that she wanted me to have it printed. If for no one but myself. 💞
Now I have to go find a book with a cool cover to come along this journey with!
Enjoying the refresher! 💕 Hope all have a great evening! 🤗
Love that you are going back to basics step by step.
We love you too! This is a great series! Thank you! Blessings-- Cindy
That book was definitely destined to be a scrap book. I was going to watch your most recent video in this series and decided it would be better to start at the beginning. You have a great sense is humor.
instead of tyvek i use Leukosilk. It's made in germany for holding down bandages. It's made with silk and the bottom side has good glue. It works very beautyfull on bookspines! And it comes in 2,5 cm wide.
You were the first person I eat her in taking a book apart! I will enjoy this series and I am going to sign up for your newsletter! Hugs
Will be looking forward to the next video in this series. Thank you for doing it slowly. Iam a old crafter and sometimes I need extra time.
Thanks so much Pam. Just now having a chance to watch this series. Can't wait to watch the rest. Really enjoy your vids. And my son loves hearing the birdys and seeing sunny. Have a blessed afternoon
I love watching you everyday to inspire me
You can tell it’s cold in FL by your sleeves❄️ Bundle up!💙
❤️ watching episode 1 after starting episode 2. Thank you for “slow”. ❤️
I am sooo happy your doing this video because I understand the process until I sit down to do it. For some reason I freeze, I think it just intimidates me. Instead of trying to remember all the pieces I can follow you step by step. I want it to be fun too. I certainly collected all the products and tools to start. I think the comment you made on another video that to many items can make it harder to create. However, I love fussy cutting and tearing fabric and obtaining the products out there, it’s overwhelming to pick to get started. I am very determined though. I love your videos. They really help me. I made a lot of your ideas and now I need to get them in a journal.
I laughed so hard when puppo made an appearance! That was wildly unexpected but desperately needed!
Pam, this is my second time watching this series. I just love it. I have both vol. of this book, and as you said in here, they are lovely. Thank you for sharing this slow process, I have learned something new every time I watch it.
Hi Pam just stopped by to say hi and tell you I've watched 4 crafters do the blind fold challenge so fun to watch them .I watched yours first and then the others. All you gals did a awesome job and give us some fun and laughter . Thanks alot
Thank you for modeling imperfection and working as you go!! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks again I'm making journal only using old books and dying my own paper I watch you all a time thanks for your inspiration
Very excited to get my goodies!! Newsletter & Printable!! Love your videos!! They have helped me SO much!! I’m a perfectionist and you’ve helped me see that a junk journal isn’t meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be fun. So Thank you Pam!! ♥️
Thank you for being you!
New to junk journal. So glad I found this video can't wait for the next video,
Thank you for being YOU!
This is perfect timing. I am starting junk journal for my 17 y old. She graduates may 2023. My plan is to give it to her for graduation. Yes I have over a year lol. I gutted a book for her. I have never done this so I am going to make a book for myself or to give away, and work on hers a little at a time.
I just found you and I am so excited to start junk journaling!!! You are an amazing teacher and so easy to follow! I feel like I'm late to the party, had never heard of junk journals.... I am in love with the whole idea!😍
Oh my goodness Sunshine is sooo stinkin adorable!! I love it when you share him with us 💕 great video!!
Thanks for being you. You are my first and main inspiration for making these junk journals. It's so wonderful that you make it so beginners and people with low income can still participate in this art. Love you and Sunbun!
Oh, I think what I am looking for is on the next one. Sorry and thank you! Love this explanation.
What a wonderful book, Pam!
Love it!! 🙏😍😘❤️❤️🤗😊 Can hardly wait for the next installment! Thanks 👍
I always enjoy your tutorials Pam no matter how many times I see you pull books apart etc, I learn something every single time.
Thank You Pam for all You do. Also , I found the Lovely Horse digi kits too ♥
Great idea for a refresher, slow and easy. Getting back to basics... Being relatively new to JJ, I sort of got overwhelmed trying to keep up with all the new ideas.
Starting to watch this series. I’m going to find a book I can use.
Thank you for a start to finish. This is so helpful process. I am learning so many things ticks and tips. Have a lovely day. Thank you.
Darlene here. Grateful that you're doing this series. Really want to do one of these and this is very helpful. Thanks.
Pam by the way - i love the little cartoonish eyeglasses on your thumbnails lately - so cuuuuuuuute - i can't help but clicking on the videos no matter what 👍🏻😍
Love the "The Old Scrap Book", too funny. So much fun. Great series. Can also put a bit of cardboard in spine prior to tape to really secure it.
I don’t have a problem anymore , gutting books. My library sends them downstairs to the community centre when they letting them go. I’m not sure where they go from there. They are usually free so I save them. 😅😅😅 I have one gutted ready to follow your video. Thanks Pam . You can never learn too much about this craft 🙏💜🙏💜🙏💜 and I learnt more today.
What a great book! Thank you for the tutorial!
I was going inspired to begin crafting junk journals by one of your videos a few months ago. I’ve collected bunches of book pages, images and tools… and watched many many videos. But every time I tried to get started I got a bit intimidated… so I have supplies but have not created any journals. Thank you for this video.. after I watched it I gained my courage to finally make a journal. The video is well done.. more precise and slower which makes it easier to follow. I will continue to follow this series. Love your style!!!!!
After I found you I binge watched all your episodes and I still don't mind going through the whole process again. I have been mainly card making. I have made a few mini journals. Now I am ready to follow along on this one. Great job selling that book by the way. I find I enjoy reading old books as much as I enjoy tearing them up.
I have loved paper since I was about 10 years old. I happened upon a box of office pads at someone's curbside and felt I had found a wonderful treasure. In 1986, I went into Graphic Design so I could hang out with paper all the more. I am so grateful to have found your channel where we can share our passion for paper. Thanx for all you do!!
Thank you so much for giving us this new video! Your slow step by step description is very helpful. I also love the cozy touches to your video like your fuzzy sleeves and adorable dog. These touches go along perfectly with the freezing cold day we are having where I live. Your videos are a comfort to watch!
Hello Pam, thank you for this wonderful and informative video. I so want to make an altered book journal and now I know how to do it!!!! Thank you. There don't seem to be many Junk Jornalors here in South Africa, so having your fun and informative videos is an answer to ALL my wants and desires. So thank you, Pam. Love and tummy rubs to Sunny Fluffy Pants and Blessings and hugs to you from Cape Town. Diana
I just love your energy and I enjoy your videos keep doing what you do have a Bless Day
You’re not alone!! Thanks for all your instruction. And happy about the collab with Louise!
OMGosh..sorry..I can’t watch this..this is such a beautiful book..wow..🙁🤗🤗
Looking forward to this series!
I’m excited you’re doing this series, you were my first video instructor when I started this journey. I still refer to your videos. I’m glad you’re doing this , it’s a good refresher course to remind me of some tips I’d forgotten. I absolutely love this book ❤️❤️ there’s going to be some gorgeous ephemera and pages coming from it. Thx again Pam.
Oh my goodness...that lil Sunshine Sunny!! He is too darn cute. Always puts a smile on my face and a good giggle 😃 😀
That baby doll is precious!!
your sweating and im freezing in michigan . Jealous! love your videos ! Thank you for sharing =)
What an amazing book!
I'm really looking forward to more episodes of this series. I very rarely get jealous of anyone, but when it comes to vintage books, vintage papers, etc you and other artists show I have to admit I get a little jealous. Here in my hometown, in the hills of Kentucky, it is difficult to find these things. I know I can find what I want online but then I can't experience going into an old bookstore and feeling the books and papers, or get the smells. I know you know what I mean. Keep up your good work and I'll continue watching you because there's a lot of stuff I do have and you'll give me ideas what to do with them! Thanks!!
This will be fun to watch 😊😊😊 TFS 😘❤️😘
Love this tutorial Thankyou!!what a great book!! The beautiful!!
Thank you for sharing the basics! I need them! 😊
Slow Crafting! Genius! If only all aspects of our mad, rushed lives could be slowed down. It was joyous to take a breath with you. Thanks and love from Laura and Jade “the fluffy one” Gibson ⭐️❤️
Hello 👋🤗 very cool 😎🆒 TFS 💝💖
What an awesome book you found to use!!
Good morning Pam, Sunshine, Holly and Love Birds ❤️ That book is EXQUISITE, perfect in every way!! This is going to be a Great Series!! Totally Awesome idea! Namesta my friend✌️🕉️🐞
Hi Pam, I just wanted to say I love your videos! You've helped me not get caught up in perfectionism and just relax. I really appreciate your hard work and consistent work 😊 I hope you have a great day!
Yaaay.. I'm all in Pam.. :)
I’ve been watching parts of this series and have returned to follow step by step to make my journal with you! I found a copy of the book just to keep it similar. My book came in. Not quite the same. It’s green but unfortunately it doesn’t have the beautiful illustrations as yours but nonetheless I will continue to create my own journal using my own materials I have accumulated! I can’t wait to get started! This is such a cool book and I love the title!
Pam I have a book whose pages fell out all by it's self Great timing girlfriend Going to follow you all the way. Thanks Hi Sunny. 👍🤗🤗🤗
I just got an old book and wanted to start a junk journal with this book and use the pages and the pages have gold trimming on it. Can't wait to start it.
Thanks so much! I just started my first journal with you!!
Super video. The perfect book for this time of year to re-purpose!Red. Heart Throbs. Poetry and short stories. And taking it slowly! And that Sunshine dog ...what a show stopper!
I love making journals out of hard covered books. I go to my local thrift shop . I cover the book with my own eco printed papers etc. I find more old books at yard sales so I grab them. So needless to say I end up with more book pages than I can possibly use so they go to the recycle bin. These are only from the newer books. Thanks for sharing. Am following this series.
I have just joined your journal making class, and looking forward to next video
Wish I could get a copy of this book but being in the uk it’s not possible. Always want what Pam has, including Sunny! 😂
I just found you recently. I really enjoy your style and banter. Thanks for sharing.
I’m loving this! I’m doing it with you!
You're a great instructor.
What a fantastic book. $10,000 was a huge amount of money in 1905! Thank you for taking on that challenge for us.
There's nothing like going back to basics to inspire growth. Thank you, dearest Pam, and all at Paper Outpoost.
Love this, love sonny, thank you, made my day
I love your videos and your talent…thanks for sharing!
Do love the book
Good morning Pam how are you today? You are a natural teacher. I love watching you teach this method. I learn something new every time I watch this book is so beautiful and perfect for February! Thank you for sharing your talents and precious family with us! Hi sonny!!!!
That IS a very interesting book!!
"The Old Scrap Book"!! Wow! How fantastic is that. What a great book. Love the color and pages inside. And red tipped page edges. That's a great find!!! Excited about this project. Thx for sharing. Austin,TX USA
It's up to 12 ° from 3 ° when I woke up and I had to laugh when you said you we're getting hot and asked if it might be a hot flash because I was just turning my heat down because of the same issue...lol
I love this as I have recently cutter a old book
Thank you for this tutorial video! I'm looking forward to the next one. I've wanted to make a journal like this but couldn't follow along as easily as I can with you. Thank you for your extra tips and techniques as you showed us the start of this journal. I look forward to making my own Old Book Journal under your guidance. Thank you for simplifying the process!
