That's what living a good clean life with respect for your body does. He clearly has a good mentality, eats clean, trains, and doesn't drink or do drugs.
And has a naruto shirt
I know he looks 20

@@francmittelo6731 calm down franc lol
Never forget Wonderboy watched himself get knocked out in slow motion and played it back live for all his fans to enjoy with him.
Anybody who can gracefully accept a knockout like that, is definitely sporting a long taint.
Lmao I understood that reference
Wonderboy uses his knockout as an example for some of his videos, true dude
I demand proof ! Pull out the taint measuring device from the previous episode

A true martial artist. Humble and doesn't take himself too seriously
Facts
Doesn’t take winning too seriously either lmao
I love the lighting in the new studio, it was waaaaaay to dark before
@Joe Brooks you're strange
@Joe Brooks Seek help
@Joe Brooks who hurt you!?
Joe Brooks has read one to many spelling errors. He can't handle it anymore. It's just to much... to much
@Joe Brooks you are weird dude
Usually the age he got knocked out impacts the chin way more than someone in their early 20’s. The lack of damage over the years served him well.
For wheel
Yes. It's all about smart training. Just look how he sparrs. Super light and playful. And he has been training every day pretty much his whole life. If he doesn't get destroyed in one of his upcoming fights, he has a couple more years left
Not for that fight lmao
Stephen Thompson is legend. He's humble, righteous, and classy, fast, precise, and dangerous. Thank you for the great fights sir. You are one of the best role model for our youngs.
Joe and Jamie finally got the lighting right at the new studio!

The old studios are still better. The big neon light is distracting
Joe wakes up, interviews famous people, makes millions, watches great fights, and can afford anything. He’s a legend man.
Joe is living the dream.
Which makes me laugh when I hear him banging on about "working hard". Guy don't work. He works out, but he don't work.
@@paulies5407 of course he works hard, the reason he’s were he is today is because he works hard.
@@paulies5407 he is on steroids and trt aswell so thats helps work out
@Daniel Madison haven't heard him tell an ok joke just yet he'll get there lmao.
Not being able to remember a period of time before and after being KO’ed is the strangest feeling. Coming out of it and being somewhere else from where you last remember yourself is a mind trip, and having people explain to you things you were doing and not remembering doing them. It’s part of your life you never are able to recall.
That's me the day after a heavy night out. Can't remember most of it. Then I see the video evidence on someone's phone.
Or even just when you get hit really hard like for me whenever I spar whenever someone lands a good clean shot it’s like I’m teleported 5 seconds forward in time it’s the strangest thing
You never been drunk before?
@@heythere452 I have been blackout drunk on only a handful of occasions and each time I could remember everything up to the point of passing out and certainly when I woke up. That is not the same in my opinion.
This guy is the most humble in the game. Dont change. We need more people like wonderboy.
38 and rocking a naruto top 🤟
I live in Sumter SC and have had the privilege of meeting Thompson at a BJJ seminar. He is legitimately as nice as he comes off on camera. He’s an inspiration
Honestly Stephen Thompson is one of the coolest fighters in the UFC. He definitely has martial arts instructor energy haha.
Ben Askren & Wonderboy are the only people to take a KO loss with grace 😂
What about me???
Conor took the Dustin Ko/Tko very well. Turned out to be a POS after the fight but, still handled the loss well
Nahhh what about when Cruz lost to Cody or when Conor lost to Nate. What about Gustafson or Matt Hughes when he lost to gsp or even chael against Silva there’s a lot😂
@@sourpatchwrapper listen to me you uneducated fool
@Daniel Madison whoops did miss that but again there’s been more than just those 2 who have been graceful after a ko loss. Gsp, askren and many more.
Him talking about the experience of losing your consciousness resonated with me. I sometimes have epileptic seizures, and it's the same feeling. I once had a serieus one and didn't wake up for 3 days. Stephen says he felt like he "teleported". I couldn't agree more. It's literally felt like 1 second and I couldn't remember anything. It makes me fear death and sleep.
Wonderboy explains why getting KO'd was a relief for 2 solid minutes. Joe: "So why do you say getting KO'd was a relief?"
4:20 Wonderboy: What else? Thats like the worst thing that can happen... Weidman: Uh... no.
The studio is slowly morphing back into the original one 😀
Good!
The sign is cool but the placement is off.
The new one at first looked like a toaster lol

Masvidal being KO'd (lights out) first time too - just amazing how well Masvidal and Wonderboy accept/ embrace it!
What a standup guy. I like him even more after the KO. A very small percentage handles that day as he did. So humble and this is exactly what a pro fighter should do. Learn from it embrace it and move forward and be mentally stronger. One of my fav JRE podcasts. Cheers fellas.
I've been knocked out before and I can tell you that is 100% accurate you literally have no recollection of what happened or how it happened. I came back into Consciousness and I was in the stands, I looked over at one of my teammates and asked him when I was going to fight. He said "dude you already fought, you got knocked out." I didn't believe him until he showed me the clip. It was such a weird feeling not knowing what happened and I was trying to play the fight back in my head but the only thing I can remember even to this day, is touching gloves in the middle and that's the last thing that I remember happening 😂
Whats funny is the harder you get hit, the more you forget. Ive been KOd in two fights and forgot them both, but only the fights. When I got my face destroyed by a steering wheel with no airbags I forgot the week leading up to the accident and 3 weeks after it, even though I was semi-conscious. Memory in regards to brain damage is a strange thing.
@@johnoster4098 yeah exactly, and what's even crazier to me is that when I got knocked out I guess I got up, got out of the ring signed my medical suspension paperwork and walked all the way to the stands before I actually came back into Consciousness I don't know how long I was like that but it had to be a pretty considerable amount of time because I also changed out of my gear, and have no idea how I did it, it was like my body was on autopilot 😂
Interesting thanks for sharing
I hope I never get to experience that but you guys make it sound kind of fun 😂
I was thinking the same thing like it sounds like what happened to me 😂 I had someone literally scream and get mad at me cause I kept asking the same question over and over again. I just don’t think he knew that it was an obvious sign that I was concussed, I don’t hold it against him.
I was never really a big fan of Wonder boy in MMA, but once I started checking out his feeds. Positive mindset and the martial arts training he teaches. The dude is just a great human being. Also sounds like he really has a great Dad that's got his back.
Absolutely my favorite ufc Fighter. A role model all around and entertaining to watch. Young ufc fighters need to follow this guys lead being humble and talented. Also love your youtube channel Stephen we need another JRE episode though!
Damn that studio is such a relief to look at... and a relief to hear it was a relief for wonder boy. I’m just relieved.
This man is a legend. Been looking forward to WB on JRE for some time.
being able to survive over 80 fights before finally being ko'd is impressive af
Need more of this guy....such a refreshing change from Izzy, colby,Suga Sean....conor...take notes on how to be professional fighter and get respect.
I got knocked out snowboarding when I was like 18. After my buddies took me to the doctor they had to lock me in my room and taped a paper on the door with answers to a bunch of questions cuz apparently I kept laying down, then getting up 10 min later and asking the same several questions over and over again. Must have been hilarious for them.
He graduated to my favorite fighter, from my buddy to raving about him to me following his KZhead first and then I watched the fights 💪💪

Let’s go been waiting on this one for so long
Stephen seems like such a cool guy, endless respect for him
Wonderboy exemplifies good sportsmanship & class like no other MMA/Combat sports athlete I've ever seen. Goes to show that you don't have to be an arrogant, unhinged, maniac (Conor) to be at the top of the sport. Kudos to you Mr. Thompson!
The fact that Wonderboy's dad was KO SHAMING him while he's in the hospital from said KO is THE BEST!!!
His dad is honestly an asshole at times 🤷♂️ he probably gets personality from mom and karate skills from his dad
I've been waiting to see Wonderboy on JRE for so long. Gotta watch the whole episode now.
Literally two of my favorite people!!! THANK YOU JOE!
Watched this live. My dad knew I was a huge Pettis fan for a long time. He kept looking at me during the fight(like really? Wonderboy is beating the crap of your favorite fighter)until… we both jumped out of the couch when the KO happened. I will never forget this moment.
I haven’t watched a single full episode since Joe went to Spotify
@Daniel Madison You really didnt get his point and you even typed big brain, smh.

Yea it really does suck full podcast episodes with video arent on KZhead anymore...
@Daniel Madison People are weird. They don't even understand that without comment section they will never see comments from people who comes in the KZhead comment section to call them weird for reading comments and move to Spotify. LMAO, can you imagine not reading comments from idiots? How good it can be?
Thanks for posting
So glad Wonderboy finally got on the JRE podcast!
Wonderboy's description of how long it took him to actively remember what was going on makes Aljamain Sterling's story that much funnier. Wonderboy didn't remember what led up to the knockout or for a long time after it, yet Sterling clearly recalled exactly what he was thinking about right after he was kneed.
Time to open Spotify!
Hahaha same my friend.

In the brief period of time between UFC 241 and UFC 243 we had 3 out of 4. Holloway, Whittaker and Stipe were champs (Stipe had just won back the belt from DC, and Whittaker still hadn't lost to Adesanya)

It's really odd being really knocked out cold. I caught a tire on a BMX bike and end overed landing square on my head, no helmet like a total dumb fuck, and woke up in the ER 2 hours later with zero memory of about 12 hours of my life. For some reason like 5 years later I woke up one morning and the entire thing was clear as day with the exception of a few minuets after the initial impact. I knew exactly what happened, I remember the ambulance ride, my best friend calling an ambulance (he said he was 100% sure I had broken my neck and shattered my skull and if he hadnt seen me breathing would have assumed I was gone). It was nuts. Obviously I had a pretty good concussion but other than being a bit loopy for a day I had zero injury or lasting issues. Fucking blessed.
