  • Jack Dempsey was a huge proponent of punching with the bottom three knuckles .. he talks about the power line and structural support of the bottom knuckles relative to the wrists. Fyi..

  • When WB and tea measured up reach, they were squared up. WB jabs properly angled, though, which eliminates that reach advantage when the longer guy is still square. The lead hand of the angled boxer is closer to the squared boxer's chin. This is what makes the check hook and every other lead hand punch work. You have to be properly angled with the lead shoulder a little higher all the time. It isn't intuitive. Common sense tells people they need to square up so they can hold their hands high in front of their face, but this really provides zero protection from a guy, even a smaller guy, who is properly angled controlling the distance.

  • Anyone know bout the myth of hitting with first two knuckles as it makes zero sense as regards power maybe for injury prevention it’s better but for doing damage you wanna hit em with the last two knuckles I only found this out two weeks ago via jack dempseys book makes perfect sense
