  • This car really needs M-tech foot step, to be full+ factory M-tech version ("+" for M3 interior and M3 kick plates) :)

  • Another lovely episode. Learned a lot of handy stuff like bleeding the brakes and adjusting the e-brake. I want the ceramic pads for my 330 as well, hoping my wheels will get less dirty from brake dust. Where do you buy your parts? Maybe you can put some ceramic coating or even just a wax inside the wheel arches to keep everything looking nice for a longer time, or at least make it easy to clean

    • Thats not a bad idea but i think just hammerite paint is enough for my usage of car. But for others maybe it would be a good idea. When i wipe it down with acetone in the video (the old black hammerite)nothing rubbed off on the cloth. So it seems its pretty durable when acetone wont eat it!. Thank you for the kind words

  • Not sure if it’s the same on e46 but the ate calipers on e9x are not supposed to have greased applied to the slider pins. Loving you content lately. I greased my rear callipers and after a year the pins gummed up.

    @Simb-l@Simb-l4 ай бұрын
    • Thanks for making me aware of it. I just looked it up an youre right. They shouldnt be greased. I will write this in the description and make a comment about it

      @OEMplusRESTO@OEMplusRESTO4 ай бұрын
    • I remember when I did the brakes on my E46, I got some negative feedback because I also greased the slider pins. Apparently, BMW tech data actually says to leave them dry. I have to admit, I did not remove the grease because I didn't want to bother. It's been a couple years, and the brakes still work fine. But your mileage may vary.

  • Absolutely love watching your videos. So relaxing and informative at the same time. I did the rear brakes not long after I bought the car in April last year but have a warped disc so I’m going to do them again. Will be putting in new shocks as well. Love the level of detail you go into. Is there any hammerite that’s similar to oe colour or is there places that make it up. Happy new year 🎉🎉

    @bull7618@bull76184 ай бұрын
    • Thank you so much. I had the local paint supplier mix the color for me. But its not super close to the oe color. Just kindda in the ballpark lol! What happened since your discs are warped?

    • @@OEMplusRESTOI bought pagid discs which tend to be a good brand but unfortunately one was warped out of the box and I also drive the car hard so the heat cycles didn’t help 😂 I’ll be upgrading them to stoptech discs and pads soon with braided lines

      @bull7618@bull76184 ай бұрын
    • @bull7618 i think pagid is oe even!! How unlucky. I hope you have better luck with the next rotors😅 i like ate. Never had any trouble with them

    • And reasonably priced as well. Im really looking foreward to seeing how much/little brake dust will appear due to them being ceramic pads!

    • @@OEMplusRESTO many thanks. Yes, it was quite a complex undertaking. Unfortunately we had to file the dissipating fin of the gearbox by a few mm and we moved the position of the lambda. I can tell you that the sound is crazy and after making the ecu calibration, I go louder than a stock 328 of my friend
