Thanks for sharing this recipe. I’m only a week and a half into baking and have tried to make many different things. These cookies are the first ones that I actually liked. Added an extra yolk to my cookie dough though and used bittersweet and milk choc coins, turned out amazing.
I made this recipe for the second time today, I made a double batch. These cookies are so good! Crispy outside and soft chewy inside. I recommend this recipe! I have been sending this video to family and friends. 😊
Made these cookies last night and my husband and I decided these truly are the best chocolate chip cookies!!! So good, everyone must try this recipe
How many cookies does this recipe make?
I made them too. Soo good! cripsy outside and very soft inside
@@samanthajackson6049 really depends how big you make them I was able to make 10
hey, do you recommend leaving it to chill in the fridge for 24h before baking it ?
trace I would, just my preference
RECIPE: ***scroll*** *Ingredients:* ½ cup butter 1/2 cup white sugar 1/2 cup dark brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp salt (kosher) 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 1/3 cups AP flour 1 cup large chocolate chips *Instructions:* 1. Melt butter in a saucepan until it turns dark brown, and has a nutty scent. 2. When browned, transfer butter into a large mixing bowl and let cool for 5 mins. 3. Add white and brown sugar to the bowl and incorporate fully. 4. Add your egg to the mixture and it should look like a slimy consistency. 5. Add vanilla, salt and baking soda into mixture and mix fully. *aim baking soda into pool of vanilla to activate baking soda* 6. Once mixture is a ribbon-like consistency, add in flour and large chocolate chips. Mix until no streaks of flour are left. 7. Scoop into round dough balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. 8. Sprinkle with salt if desired. 9. Chill 10 minutes for flatter cookies. 10. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 350º F.

The baking soda is gonna activate anyway. You don't need to aim it into the vanilla extract.

How many cookies she does ?
An update for those who don't like very sweet cookies: These were sooooo good. I baked it at 180°C for exactly 11 minutes as the top comment said. I'm also not a fan of very sweet baked goods, so I drastically reduced the sugar - 50g white sugar, and 60g dark brown sugar. I added a bit more salt to counteract the sweetness, too (edited: I didn't add more salt in the next few batches, and I actually prefer it that way!). They still came out SO good and so chewy. And since they're just ever so slightly sweet, even my mom can enjoy them! (I also used bittersweet chocolate, instead of semisweet.)
Does it affect the texture? Does the edges still crisp?
@@floppydisk9541 I generally prefer soft, chewy cookies, and that’s how this turned out. The edges are just slightly crispy, but maybe they may have been crispier if I let the cookies bake for a couple more minutes!
Thank you for sharing ur experience
Did you also adjust the butter?
@@Lizthegreat Nope, I didn’t!
I made these last night and my husband and I were blown away!! These are the BEST chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made 😁 thank you for the wonderful recipe ❤️
It’s my first time to try and bake chocolate chip cookies and I feel like i’m already a pro in baking cookies because of this recipe 😭😭❤️ thank you so much!
Anyone here during the COVID and is suddenly a baker?

Yup 😂😂

Everyone has turned into Martha Stewart during the quarantine.
I was a baker before covid.
I can't believe I finally found a chocolate chip cookie recipe that works for me. I used a scale to measure and the only thing different was I had salted butter instead and used little less kosher. These are amazing! Thank you.
Hands down, best best best cookie recipe EVER. I have trialed many recipes. Since I found this one, I bake it once or twice a week! So gooooood!!!
I’ve made these several times now, they always come out incredible and everyone that tries them loves them, thanks so much for this recipe this will be my forever recipe
I tried making it today and it turned out so so good, it is really chewy in the inside and crunchy on the outside,, a perfect recipe. This cookies are my first ever and I'm just happy that it is perfectly splendid
I really appreciate how you explained how the ingredients affect the cookies! Great video and great cookies!
I’ve used this recipe over and over for the last couple of years and I think it’s the best cookie recipe that exists, thank you
Made these cookies today and it came out so well! I’ve never succeeded in making cookies that have a crisp surface but still soft inside and was really surprised when my cookies came out perfectly the way I want them to. Was afraid that the cookies will be too sweet after reading through the comments, thus I used 50g of white and brown sugar and the sweetness was just right for me. Thank you so much for this recipe, will definitely refer to this recipe only from now on
Really appreciate that you explain WHY you incorporate certain ingredients and HOW they impact the results! 👌🏼
i’m telling you guys right now this is literally the best cookies i’ve made at home , everyone loves them when i bake this specific recipe and now it is my go to !
I rarely comment on KZhead videos, but I just have to say these were simply magnificent. This is only the second recipe I’ve used to try and make chocolate chip cookies from scratch, but I don’t think I will ever look for another. Your instructions were so clear and easy to follow! These cookies were heavenly: perfectly crispy on the edges with a gooey, soft interior. I have never tasted such an amazing cookie!
I love you
This is my go-to chocolate chip cookie recipe!! And this is also my 1st ever baked good when I started baking last year. Couldn’t count the times I’ve tried this recipe, it turned out perfect always. Thank you for sharing your recipe to us honeysuckle 🥰 your voice is also soooo cute and the instructions are clear! Love everything about this vid 💕
Just made these about an hour ago. Wow, I can’t say enough how happy that I’ve finally found a recipe after trying several and being disappointed. My family & I loved them and this will be my staple chocolate chip forever! Thank you. 🍪
I did follow this recipe last night. Of all the cookie recipes that I've tried, my husband loved this. Thanks for sharing! So generous 🥰
I made these cookies and they turned out really well! The perfect chocolate chip cookies. Would definitely recommend this recipe.
These were SO GOOD! Highly recommend, my whole family loved them, they were crunchy outside and had a soft inside. The cookies are thicker and so good
she didn’t lie when she said this was the best chocolate chip cookie, they’re fr better than the ones you buy. and they get so much better the next day, super soft and delicious. it’s my go to recipe when i’m in the mood for cookies now🥰
Did you do the butter just as she did- melting and sort of toasting it?
@@flickaJay yesss!!
I remember watching this video when it was released back in 2020 and it’s only almost 2 years after that I tried this recipe. This is by far the best cookie recipe I have ever encountered in my entire life! Thank you so much for this. What a shame that I never tried it before.. But it will for sure be my go to from now on
So GOOD! I did put them in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Had to bake for 15 minutes…turned out fantastic. Looked and tasted like I got them from a bakery! Thanks for a perfect recipe!❤

Thank you for this amazing recipe! I decided to put the cookie dough in a cake pan to turn it into a cookie cake, and it turned out AMAZING!!
I just made this and after trying out multiple "best chocolate chip cookies recipe", i have to say this really is the BEST 🍪. I didn't have butter on hand, so i used margerine and followed your exact recipe. Still turned out really good. Thanks for sharing!
Easily the tastiest chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever made! Thank you for such an easy hassle-free recipe. ❤️
I've been looking for a new chocolate chip cookie recipe for my husband since he read the ingredients of his favorite store bought cookies. Hooray, I think I've found it. This looks fabulous ❣️🎉 Thanks so much for sharing. Blessings to you and yours ❣️
Every time I make these cookies my family and husband devour them!! They are so simple but oh so delicious!!! Thank you for the recipe ❤️ this is my go to recipe now!!
Wow, I'm so happy I found this video! I've been trying to find a good cookie recipe that's not too long to make and this is the one. I tried this recipe this afternoon and the cookies are amaziiiiing! Also, big thank you to the person who added the measurements in grams it made things easier for me. For those of you who are French, I personally used cassonade (for the brown sugar part) and it worked very well!
Thank you for the delicious recipe! They came out perfect, lil crispy on the outside and slightly chewy on the inside. The only thing I would do differently is put less chocolate chips... I don’t like my cookies too sweet... thank you 🙏🏽 this will definitely be my go to cookie recipe.
Love this recipe! It’s so easy and not too sweet! Makes the perfect amount too as not too much leftovers for temptation haha. Thank you!!
second time to make this and so far, best ever chocolate chip cookie recipe for me! I also made your Vietnamese granola (twice as well) and it was awesome! Thanks Honeysuckle!
When you say perfect....that’s an UNDERSTATEMENT. I’ve followed so many recipes and not a single one came close to this. Thank you so much!

This is my go-to chocolate chip i recipe! Although with some variations: As she mentioned in the video if you want them chewy pop it in the fridge for 10mins. Also, i substituted half a cup of AP flour with oats just because i like oats and it turned out really well! I could say the idea of heating up the butter and using good quality ones is the real game changer! Looking forward to more tips and tricks!
made these cookies yesterday and they turned out AMAZING! everyone loved them! thank you for sharing 🍪❤️
I just tried this recipe and I swear, this is by far the best recipe for chocolate chip cookies that I've tried (and I'm really picky with my cookies). I'm already making my second batch because it's just so good!!
This is a great recipe Really appreciate. that you explain WHY you incorporate certain ingredients and HOW they impact the results! 👌🏼Thank you for sharing with us!
Ever since I made this cookie I never was able to stop baking them ❤️❤️😭 ive taken a photo of the process everytime I bake them and lemme tell you I made such a huge improvement! At first the sizes were so huge and the crust were a bit strong but now the sizes are perfect sizes and the crust has the perfect texture I was looking for! (Tip: don’t overmix it like I did it’ll get rid of the taste and soften it lol. Learnt it the hard way)
Okay i tried these and they were so good, finally my hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie has ended!!they did take 20 minutes to bake though, but worth it! And in my opinion, unchilled have the best texture, loved these!!!
I thought the butter was going to be a challenge but it ended up going better than I expected! The recipe was easy to follow and aside from my oven being weird needing like 10 extra minutes to actually cook all the way, this will be my go-to recipe. I just bought a cookie jar the other and I cannot wait to fill it up with these bad boys!
Thank you for a wonderful recipe. Cookies came out great! crunchy outside yet chewey inside. I had used several recipes from other KZheadrs, and none of them came out this yummy. You were right about brand of butter and melting the butter. Sure, make a difference. This recipe will be in my cooking collection!!
Yes. I can also say that this is the best chocolate chip cookies I've tried. We all love it's crunchiness outside and chewiness inside. And not too sweet just the way we like it! Thank you so much for sharing this recipe.God bless you more.☺️
Made these for my boyfriend and his family and they absolutely loved them and it was a super easy way to impress them! Also make sure you get the Kerry gold butter it does make a huge difference! Thank you so much for the recipe 🥰❤️

1/4/23: Happy New Year Everyone 🥰 I made these today and can I just tell you… they are delicious. Tasted like Insomnia cookies 🍪. I added 1/4 cup of walnuts to my batch. Have an amazingly wonderful day!
I’ve been really sad seeing all these baking videos because all of the stores where I live are out of flour every time I try to go find some. Baking is so fun and therapeutic for me. Hopefully I can pick up some flour soon! I hope and pray you and your family are staying safe and healthy Dzung! ❤️
Taely Lee try your local bakery! A lot are selling some of their flour, I haven’t found any in local stores either
You can also try Amazon.
Same here! I cannot find flour , its always OOS 😭😭😭
I found out the days when my grocery stocks and go as soon as they open! I managed to get Some and was shocked!! Turned out they did restock on Wednesdays and I was there right when they opened.
You can also try your local Dollar general market or dollar store. I work at Publix and can't find it there or Walmart... But I've been lucky to find it at Dollar general
Perfect is the only word to describe these! Amazing result on my first try. This is a keeper. Thank you
I finally found the perfect chocolate chip cookie recipe, thank you! The only thing I did different was cut a dark chocolate candy bar instead of using chips. So good, thanks again! ❤
These are so quick and easy and make just the right amount of dough. No need to chill anything or use a stand mixer. Brown butter always scared me but now I know what a blessing it is. 10/10 for crunchy deliciousness.
Okay! So I just made these. They looked EXACTLY like yours, which is rare when I’m making a recipe. My fiancé loved them. He thanks you!!
This is hands down the best cookie recipe I’ve ever tried. So chewy and delicious! These cookies are so addicting and I’m tempted to double the batch as it didn’t even last a day in my house. Thank you for this amazing recipe❤️
I’ve just cooked these & again they’ve come out perfectly. This recipe of yours is exactly how I love my cookies being crispy, but chewy too. I would never buy cookies again as these are so much better. I added walnut pieces this time as I love chocolate chips & nuts.
i used this recipe today, its the *BEST* cookie recipe ive ever used! they came out perfectly ❤️
I enjoyed making these cookies earlier today. I must say I am not a “crispy edges and moist in the middle “ type of cookie person but I was willing to try this recipe. I will be making it again tho because my siblings loved the cookies. Thanks for sharing this recipe 😊
Dear your recipe is a bomb. My son called it “best cookie ever!!!”. Coz obviously I tried several recipes and yours is a star, right balance of everything.😋😍
Thank you. This is the best Chocolate Chips Cookies recipe ever. I reduced white sugar to 75 g. and brown sugar to 85 g. and baking time to 9 min. They are super perfect.
I have tried to make chocolate chip cookies so many times, yet every time I ended up with cookies that became hard as rocks by the time they cooled off. This recipe gave me soft chewy cookies with lightly crisp edges!! Thank you so much for sharing!
I love how many people are watching while we're stuck at home. My kids have been asking to make chocolate chip cookies. I would make them using a tablespoon size cause I want a lot of cookies.
Already made these and they are "the best chocolate chip cookies" ever! I ve tried atleast 15 different recipes and this is hands-down the best one.

Best chocolate chip cookie recipe! I have tried loads of chocolate chip cookie recipes and none of them have came out right, so I gave up trying to make it as I just thought I couldn’t do it. Then I was craving fresh homemade cookies so I was looking for other recipes and came across this video, and it did not disappoint. It came out amazingggg, exactly how I like it, gooey and soft on the inside and crunchy on the outside. Thank you for this recipe

i've been looking for a certain texture in the cookie recipes i've been trying, and my mom hasn't liked a single one. then i made these, and she LOVED them. thank you for sharing this with us, it's absolutely delightful!
I tried making this in the morning and it turned out good!! I made some adjustments (on the chocochip, flour, n sugar, coz that'll be too sweet), add walnuts, and my fam loved it!! Thank you for the recipe!
These cookies are literal perfection! Making them again right now. Thanks for sharing!
I just tried this recipe out and omg. These cookies are AMAZING!!! Thank you so much!
I made this tonight and I’m eating as I type this! This recipe is The One! 😂 I’ve tried the other recipes without melting the butter but they didn’t turn out as good as this. I chilled the dough for about 30 minutes (just wrapped) before scooping. Thanks for the recipe!
Just made this & they turned out amazing! Thank you so much for this easy & simple yet delicious recipe. I thought it would be too sweet but I used 70% chocolate chips just like you mentioned and it turned out great. Glad that I didn’t make adjustments. Also, thank you so much for the great tip about letting your butter cool down before adding the sugars. In the past I always added the sugars in immediately to let it melt and it always resulted in greasy bakes and I had no idea what to do about it. I can’t wait to try out your brownie recipe in the near future.
Finally, finally! This is hands down the best cookie recipe I’ve ever tried. And I tried the tasty one before and ended up with gigantic dough pools that didn’t even resemble cookies cause they couldn’t hold their shape. These ones I didn’t even have to cool down before baking. I am beyond thrilled to finally have a go to cookie recipe that’ll wow anyone. Thank you for your service to mankind.
Yes ! I was actually looking for a good recipe, now I'll see if french ingredients work !

I have a extremely picky brother and father, when I made this, they both loved it! My father, a fan of sweets (but usually hates my pastries TwT) actually loved it! My brother who prefers salty foods liked it which really surprised me. Very good results! (I used a different type of butter, but it seemed the same as the video at the end)
Yup indeed!! These are the absolute best and simplest! I've tried many recipes and these by FAR ARE THE "BESTEST" Thank you!
So glad to hear!! 😘
This is the second time I’m trying this recipe after experimenting with others. By far this is the best recipe so far and this second round turned out perfectly by taste, texture and shape. The first time, the cookies spread too much. This time I let the butter cool in the fridge for around 30 min and let the dough also set for 15 min before baking and they turned out wonderfully. Thank you honeysuckle for this award winning recipe! It’s delicious! ❤️
Even though i didn’t have brown sugar at home this time it was still AMAZING. Im definitely making this with brown sugar next time❤️ best recipe ever
It's extra chewy if you use part bread flour and part AP, and also in addition to chocolate chips you can chop up a dark chocolate bar for a variety of texture.
