‘I'll prove I’m the BEST’: FULL ACCESS to Valentina Shevchenko’s camp ahead of Alexa Grasso REMATCH
The latest episode of RED CORNER MMA documentary series features one of the most accomplished Russian-speaking fighters and one of the most accomplished female MMA fighters ever. We caught up with Valentina Shevchenko in Thailand as “The Bullet” is preparing for the rematch against Alexa Grasso and recapture the UFC flyweight belt on September, 16th.

I had a feeling she would lose the last fight. I felt like she was doing too much travelling and modelling and not focusing on fighting. She's been very quiet on social media since losing. She looks hungry again and I'm excited to see her in action.
I totally agree with you, she was too focused on acting, travel, social media. That's all behind her now, she is more hungry than ever to show that she is the best female fighter of all time. She was getting better and better every fight, once she started to take the fight to the ground once in awhile she showed that you can always improve your game if that is what you want. I think she wants to be seen as the best female fighter of all time so she will do that when she gets her strap back and dusts off the up and comers, none if them can fight with her. Watch in Wonder

@@RedCorner_MMA if Valentina sharpens her defense for getting her back taken at any angle.. from a RNC then..maybe.. it will go her way.. but Valentina needs to sharpen those grappling tools bc Erin blanchflied is coming for that belt..
She will erase that mistake and send Grasso to the back of the line again. The only lady that might be able to compete with her will be Manon, and she did not look like her tenacious self against Rose. So with Manon being the only one that is as strong and skilled as her and Manon not looking good against Rose that says Val will beat all the up and comers and never lose another fight again. The Grasso fight was just like Kayla Harrison losing for the first time, she had too much going on in her life and wasn't prepared for Pacheco. Kayla would win a rematch but for what ever reason the PFL wants to keep her away from Pacheco and the tournament style. Only time will tell what the PFL wants to do with the last two fights on her current contract. Sorry to digress but I saw a lot of similarities in Val losing and Kayla losing. They are both true champs and will show that to the world when they fight again. Neither lady has ever taken any real damage in their entire career, so they both have several years left to go. The reason everyone talks about age is because most fighters end up with CTE from taking too many shots to the head. Both Val and Kayla were so dominant they never really took any career ending blows. Kayla ran through everyone she ever fought, just like Val. So both of them will bounce back and show what it takes to be called a true Champion. The ability to take a loss in stride and bounce back with full confidence in their fighting skills. Can't wait to see both ladies rise to the top again.
@@Fran28. Erin is no danger to Manon or Val, she doesn't have the tools to deal with either one of them. Manon is way too strong for Erin to take down, and Val has improved her takedown defense to the level necessary to stop any takedown attempts from Erin.

Girl makes one mistake that costs her the belt and people jumping off the band wagon. If she loses three fights in a row then and only then has her time past.
I wouldn’t say it was one mistake. She was much slower and was telegraphing her take downs. It was more than one mistake and I hope she understands that. I don’t feel Alexa is better but she was better that night
She's not passed her prime.... she hasn't even had major injuries or major surgeries, she hasn't been in wars, she doesn't do hard sparring, and never takes damage in her fights except against Grasso a little bit. Alexa is just that good and had a really good strategy

It’s an interesting situation. Valentina is clearly a Renaissance woman with incredible skills. She’s also educated, beautiful, and charismatic. She took a loss. It happens. With that said, Grasso fought a hell of a fight. The question now is: Did Grasso rise to the occasion once, or is she the one woman who can shut Valentina down consistently? If Grasso is that fighter, Valentina has to weigh her options. Her world is wide open. If Valentina can get a solid win, she solidifies her legacy as top flight champion. With that said, I’m excited to see the rematch.

Llevo toda mi vida practicando deportes marciales y desde la primera vez que vi a Valentina en amateur supe que iba ser una gran luchadora de las MMA y así a sido. Valentina es la Artista Marcial más dominante e impresionante que a gestado la UFC , sin embargo su falta de humildad para asimilar una baja en su desempeño como atleta la ha hecho ver muy mal. Sus quejas y despotismo en opinar hacia sus contrario la hacen deslucir como la excelente artista marcial que ha sido. Espero logre superar esa debilidad.
Valentina debe retirarse UFC, solo esta haciendo ridiculo. 😢 Años UFC defensa su titulo, simplemente estan pasando factura se nota estres y frustracion.
