You forgot to add the few hundred times Noble 6 died whenever I play legendary.
A few thousand in LASO
@@Death_Drive how about twelve million
Yep
Count how many copies were bought then 3 quarter have played on legendary
Darn. You
The worst part of George's Death is they show immediately after his death that his sacrifice was in vein.
Which adds even more depth when Carter says right before New Alexandria’s glassing “he gave his life thinking he had just saved the planet. We should all be so lucky” it hurts knowing that they know they’re not gonna win: Reach has been lost, there’s no turning this around. It’s just a matter of doing as much damage to the Covenant as possible before it’s all over, and passing the torch to those who can eventually win long after their sacrifice.
Titan Lord well no shit, he’s technically MIA but when a Spartan is completely left alone on a planet overrun by Covenant it’s basically implied that he’s KIA
Titan Lord he’s dead. He was fought to the ground by multiple elites and stabbed in the chest with an energy sword.
@@titanlord9267 the planet was glassed by the Corvette, any cave or hovel he was in was turned into molten slag. As much as it sucks 6 is KIA, no doubt no question. And before you say he got a ship, in Halo 2 when Arbiter went before the council he reported the escape of one ship, not two.
@@titanlord9267 and another point if you may be so kind as to listen, he lost his helmet, when the Corvette starts glassing a planet it strips it of it's O3, otherwise known as ozone. Even if, and it is a big if, he escaped 4 angry generals and zealots unarmed and knowing an elite is casually twice as fast as an unharmed human, the lack of an atmosphere sans helmet would definitely, and irreparably, cook our noble Noble alive. What is your rebuttal to this?
Noble 6 died after fighting for 9 days. Lone wolf took place a week after the last misson. The mission itself was canonically 2 days long. Man was defending Reach on his own
Jesus fucking shit, 9 continuous days fighting hordes and hordes of enemies, with no support whatsoever, all alone, knowing it was a suicide mission, Noble 6 was just truly built different.
Theres a reason only 2 Spartans have been classified as "Hyper lethal "
The scene where he dropped his helmet was after 9 days 😭
Took two days, except when you put me on that mission, it takes 2 minutes.
This isn't true, nor is the "only 2 classified as hyper lethal" it took several hours of fighting, not days. Not sure where these rumors' came from.
Emile’s “I’m ready! How ‘bout you!?” Always makes me crack up. Man went out like a badass as any Spartan should.
Since both his parents were killed by covenant and he dedicated his whole life to killing as many as he could until death, that line to me meant that he had been waiting for the day an elite finally got him and he could complete his mission, he’s by far the coolest noble member to me
It brings tears for me, he was my favorite but that last line is so bad ass, if he comes back in Infinite I will buy the game three times over
Now THAT is going out like a G. Not by some kid pressing x or a.
My favorite thing about that scene; when we regain control and go up there, he killed about 7 zealots while his body was basically melting from the energy sword, and that you can still faintly hear him breathe
@@aerialmacaroon6312 Emile was a world-class badass. It would have been awesome to see more of him in other games

*“Slip space rupture detected”* Hearing this and then seeing all those Covenant ships appear was gut wrenching. Because not only did we, as the player, know that Jorge’s sacrifice was for nothing but the fight for Reach was looking like a losing battle now.
Well if you read the Fall of Reach novel a few years before this game came out, you knew this game was going to have a downer ending. Even more so when you realize few on the Pillar of Autumn would survive the tribulations that awaited them.
The beauty of that scene is demonstrating all the effort it took to kill one super carrier. It took a desperate plan, a slip space drive, the sacrifice of a whole frigate and a Spartan 2. After all that, and they thought they'd won, 50+ more show up. To add to the story, technically speaking, Noble team accomplished every mission they were given. Yet despite their individual successes, they couldn't win the war themselves.
It was a losing battle from the beginning, Carter probably knew it right away but didn’t care, or couldn’t care, he knew they still had to fulfill their duty as Spartans, without faltering or doubting.
@@SoldierOfFate But at least all of those sacrifices and the subsequent discovery of Halo would finally lead to human victory within only a matter of months. As Halsey said, we were so close…
Yeah speaking of that, I just been getting back into the series, don't know why nostalgia just hit randomly but now that I'm older playing through Reach, why was Reach so unprepared for an invasion? Wasn't it one of their major planets? Why isn't every planet just surrounded with ships to act as a defensive blockade? I'm no lore nut and haven't seen an in-game explanation to it. With as many planets I've seen humans supposedly exclusively colonizing themselves and populating entire planets how big is their military exactly? Why are they constantly outnumbered wherever they go? If the Covenant races were equal to humans I'd imagine they'd just overwhelm them with sheer numbers of a couple races, yet get pushed back by just special regular human forces like ODST.
People need to accept that Six is gone. The only way he could possibly be alive is if 343 pulled something out of their ass.
For real though, as much as the Noble fanboys hate to admit it, his survival chance was practically 0%. No helmet on a planet with a breached atmosphere, this fact alone can be used solitarily, but if you consider what Arbiter said one ship escaped, which we all know holds Chief, unless the Halo 4 and 5 bs came without us seeing it and he teleported to the ship, 6 is dead, beyond dead.
@@truewhissan You explained this better than I ever could my friend.
Tamamo no Mae I don’t think only one ship escaped. I always thought that just meant how strong the force that attacked the first halo ring was. Although noble six obviously didn’t survive

Jun, after the events of reach, and his proximity to highly classified data and Halsey, became an ONI agent and one of the first trainers/recruiters for the Spartan IV program. He recruited such individuals as Buck.
@JaydenTHEFLASH2 Spartans are durable, but I assure you they’ll die if they take a full mag to the chest and stomach, along with being beat severely, and a stab wound. Six, unfortunately, died. Kind of a fitting place for Six to die though, considering the area was a final holdout position that’d been turned into a graveyard for Spartans.

Took down 7 zealots with a knife. Well 6 with knife One with shotgun. Have u ever tried to melee only 6 zealots on heroic or legendary ? After being stabbed by an energy sword to the back? It’s impossible
Emile didn't want to survive. He lost all his brothers, all his family. Emile was described as a troubled man with a short temper and a violent disposition, largely due to his tragic upbringing. Noble Team was his second family, and he lost them too. At the end it was only him and Six, and he was past the point of wanting to live to fight another day. Kat, on the other hand, was simply shot through the head by a sniper. No grand plan to save everyone else with self-sacrifice, just a single shot and a sudden stop. I can't even fathom the amount of PTSD that Jun has.
Spartans get over it unlike humans, they were bred to.. They might have horrible recollections but they don’t hurt from it.. They learn and adapt
they are spartan 2s they actually have emotions unlike spartan 1s (master chief)
@@FortuneFavorsNo.8 I think you have it mixed up. They were spartan 3s and master chief is spartan 2. Im pretty sure Johnson is a spartan 1 which where adults went through the same thing as the spartans 2 but far less successful which is why Halsey used children later on for spartan 2s
@@aSzVeRz Jorge was a spartan 2, that's why he's alot bigger and chunkier than the others
It's a shame Six didn't get more characterization. There's something bitter-sweet about them going from the lone wolf spartan that Carter is worried about, to having them be there for all their deaths and then dying for their mission, entrusted by each of them to carry it on.
The fact that Reach highlights that spartans don't always win and that they're only human is what makes it my favorite game.
it's normal to cry watching this
Is it?
Nick Gurr exactly lol

Idk why but 6:36 hits different for me. Just the way her lifeless foot moves solidifies that she’s really dead. It never got to me as a kid, but now it brings me to the brink of tears every time.
even though we knew 6's fate at the beginning of the game, It was still gut wrenching to see fight till their last breath on Reach. Fuck this campaign is a masterpiece
Every game I trade kills I always quote the man himself "IM READY HOW BOUT YOU?!"
6:16 That's what Kat gets for playing Halo 2 on Legendary
@@SinisterF. okay sweat mode kid
@@SinisterF. I dont know what i just read but damn
6:16 You can briefly see Kats head disappear for literally one frame, as it get swapped out to the head with the bullet wound through the back and front of the helmet.
Noble 6, lying on the ground about to die: “Hey Jorge, did I make it count?”
I love Reaches story and how it constantly makes you fight a losing battle and makes sure you know your losing. When Jorge blew up the Ship you thought you won then boom hundred Covi ships appear and soon after Kat dies. Them the game gives you wide shots of the planet basically on fire. That's why I love Reach one of the games that makes you fight a losing battle and let's you know your fighting a losing.
I rewatch this every once in a while to re-fuel my rage against the Covenant
Fuck the covenant
hahahah
Lol
Understandable
Same bro
2:09 This is so haunting when you think about it. All that work and Jorge's sacrifice to take out the Covenant Super Carrier. You all think you saved Reach. Then the Fleet of Particular Justice pulls up to the planet the second the Super Carrier goes down. The battle for Reach was lost the second the Arbiter brought his fleet here.
Eerie how Kat is the last one to put her helmet on which is coincidentally where she gets shot moments later. Also everything in that scene sealed her fate, the call giving away their location and the EMP which disabled her and the teams energy shields
As someone how finished the game a couple of hours ago I feel this

Kat's death hit hard Just snuffed out like a damn candle
Im glad i wasnt the only one...
Good
Just like that needle rifle round
Her driving skills may not have been good, but she will be missed
@@thetakerofknees9737 Man this one time I was on a roll, killing elites left and right, and she drives a warthog straight into me, throwing me off the map and back to the last checkpoint.
I think the reason they never showed us Six's face was because they wanted to show that he could have been anyone. You just need to be willing to make the sacrifice
the people who disliked are actually the elites that were in the banshess at 7:57
Wort wort wort
Nah fam Cortana told Master Chief and all of his that this video exists

This was the most emotional Halo game ever
I just played this game again for the first time since it came out. I've been a halo fan since I was 7 and in 28 now. This game was so amazing. I absolutely loved every second of it. The story was so perfect and the tragic but honorable deaths were hard to watch.
"The time has come. Don't deny me this" gets me every time.
Spartans: survives a fall from space Also Spartans: dies from a single shot to the head
She had no shields, some beacon was draining it for her, thus one headshot killed her.
To survive Space fall they use armor lock, like chief in halo 3, they had to unlock it.
Noble six is also the only spartan who can be compared to chief
@@Min0waman what about Sarah Palmer?
@@woodenhoe3987 Honestly if you just replace the Needle Rifle with the Beam Rifle Kat's death makes more sense.
RIP noble team 6
The elites actually did not kill him because if you look close he dodged then all and the energy knife won’t kill him because it’s smaller than the sword
@@MrMan-xe9yz lack of helmet on a glassed planet, meaning lack of atmosphere and air, stabbed many times whilst unarmed by energy knives, surrounded by literally millions of phantoms, banshees, and covvie drop soldiers and to top it off the Arbiter's report of a singular ship escaping, the ship we all know held Chief. How in the hell would 6 have gotten out of there intact? This is a pipe dream that needs to stay in the gutter.
Tamamo no Mae yea it’s so stupid people actually think he’s alive
Baby yoda Gtv I’m not saying he’s still alive I’m saying her survived the cutscene but after he would have died from the glassing of the increasing amount of covenant
Mr. Man his helmet was broken so he died. he died a hero
People say guys don’t have feelings, this game was so emotional and makes me cry everyone I play or watch it. Only legends remember this game

He made me cry just like the way George made me rip all of noble team

@Winston cercello what’s wrong with you kid?
Fact: The Elite that shot Kat is the same field marshal that ambushes you in winter contingency and that you battle on the second to last level.
Zealot not field marshal
@@Axtreq Field Marshal is a rank of Zealot.
@@S0RGEx i thought a zealot was a rank?
@@Axtreq Zealots aren't in the normal covenant army, they are the most religious of all elites and kinda have their own ranks that also have authority over other elites, the field marshal has command over all troops but can only be reached by a zealot

I was so depressed at the end of this game. Me and my friend played through it. He had recently just gotten me into Halo. So while he has played through the game before, this was my first time. That is the reality of war though. It's depressing. Sometimes sacrifices like Jorge's (RIP) are in vain. At any moment, it could all be over (RIP Kat). Sometimes if the team is to win, someone has to lose (RIP Carter). And finally, even against impossible odds, knowing that death is inevitable, you fight because it's the right thing to do (RIP Emile) (RIP Noble Six)
The shots after Jorge and Kat are so emotional. The ship crashed on the planet in flames and holding Kate’s body overlooking a destroyed city. Reach gotta be in my top 5 games, the story is incredible.
I’ve always thought Kat’s what the best because of how realistic and shocking it was
This campaign was criminally underrated. I have played a lot of games in 35 years of avid gaming and very few, if any, gave the fizz like this game did. Every loss of a Noble Team member was profound and a gut punch. What I wouldn't give to be able to experience this game for the first time all over again.
Looking back, I used to think that Noble 6's death was the saddest, but rewatching carters death is just... depressing to me
I do like a double shot of depression to start my day.
Me too really gets the sadness up and running
