I reckon the best cutscene for Halo 2 is Johnson's "Dear humans: we regret being alian bastards, we regret comeing to earth and we most definately regret the core just blew up our ragady ass fleet!" Monologue and the second to last cutscene for Halo 3.

Halo Reach has to be the start of Exodus for me. The shot of 6 overlooking the destroyed super carrier as the somber slow version of “In Amber Clad” plays sets the tone for the rest of the game - the tragedy of losing a war.
CE for me is probably the intro to Two Betrayals. Halo 3 for me is either the ending of Floodgate, the mid cutscene of Halo or ending of Halo.
Halo 3 for me could be a lot of cutscenes but I felt this one was a pinnacle moment and I don't hear or see it much
Yeah the intro to Two Betrayals opening with Perilous Journey was awesome.
The part in ODST where Buck stylishly flicks the brutes blood off his knife, before the other two flinch backwards away from the blood flinging at them without a word is comedy gold to me. 😂

I find it hilarious how the best Halo 5 cutscene (in your opinion) was also the final cutscene of the game you know the one where the game ends also I think the intro cutscene for Infinite was the best cutscene in Infinite.
Yeah, I also cut 3 minutes off the original cutscene because the only good part was the very end of that cutscene loool and yeah intro for infinite was nuts

Favorite cutscene from Reach is the pillar of autumn opening cutscene. Halo CE, ending cutscene. “Did anyone else make it..” Halo 2 Arbitor being revealed the full truth of the nature of the rings. Halo 3 ending cutscene of Halo. Halo 3 ODST brute chieftain. Halo 4 Cortana’s goodbye. Halo 5 beginnings cutscene. Infinite the dying spartan. Halo wars Forge vs Arbitor. Halo wars 2 Atriox vs red team. Not a bad pick for your best cutscenes. 👍🏽

I agree with your choices, but Infinite's intro and Halo 5's intro are definitely better choices, and Halo 3's Cortana cutscene with Chief finally reuniting with Cortana was my favorite with just how beautiful it is. It's the only cutscene I refuse to skip no matter what, period. I love that cutscene that much.

No disagreement on CE but I think the cutscene on 343 GS with the perspective of the Marine discovering the flood is pretty cool. Id say that and the ending scene with Johnson are tied best in that game

Halo 2 takes the cake, Blur Studio did an amazing job on it.
Halo 2 is full of dope ass scenes. Honestly a number of scenes could've gotten best scene. The bomb one you used of course, the scene where Gravemind has Chief and Arby, Thel's trial at the beginning of Halo 2, Delta Halo's opening, the cutscene at the end of the mission Regret when Chief outruns the Covenant destroying the underwater city, Half-Jaw's speech..there's so many. Also the only scene I really disagree with is Halo Reach..I mean Kat's death could easily take that spot. Six's death is amazing, but from the talk about Jorge in the tower, to the city getting glassed, Kat's death, then that shot with one of Reach's most beautiful scores paired with that shot of the remaining members of Noble Team including Carter holding Kat's lifeless corpse in the rumble of New Alexandria. Honestly how did it not get best scene?!

i know a lot of the comments here talk about infinites best cutscene being the atriox one [i think its kinda overrated], but i really do believe theres a lot of really good moments (including the one you showed in the vid), two of the top ones for me is the scene where the weapon realises shes a cortana clone and chief wanting to trust her, and the scene where echo 216 and chief talk it out after 216 ends up feeling absolutely down after being unable to find a working slipspace engine im prob in the minority but i honestly love halos more emotional moments then the action itself, example for me would be in reach where jorge talks to the norwegion girl at the end of the second (first real) mission

Infinite have many deep cutscenes. The first with Atriox making Chief a toy and the second cut with that soundtrack remembering old soundtracks and Chief being empathetic to fallen marines...

Halo 3’s is debatable, Halo 4’s is the legendary face reveal, I can’t say for infinite, cause I haven’t played it yet, but all the others are golden, and even 3 and 4s are excellent scenes still.
I agree with all but reach and halo wars 2 Reach: Jorge’s sacrifice HW2: Jerome taking down the carrier
I think these are all great, however, CE should be intro to flood, and wars 2 should be banished backstory and cutter speech. Other than that I like the Spartan Locke fight and the Escharum death scene but I can see why you didn’t choose them.
Halo 4 ending made me cry the first time. As a grown ass man. Says something about growing up with the chief and Cortana.

Id love if Blur studios made an entire film or tv series. Their animation and cinematography is the best their is in gaming. Itd look more realistic than having a live action with cgi because itd be consistent. The halo tv series has pretty bad cgi, theyve done a good job with the animations, how the elites jaws move etc but it doesnt look real and your eyes will always be able to spot it even if it is much better quality. Even if you dont know why, youll naturally know

I really wished you had used the original graphics for the Halo 2 cutscene since this is supposed to be a collection. Of course, I disliked the remaster anyway but that's beside the point.

Halo 2 has so many great cutscenes that it's nearly impossible to choose one. The Gravemind made for an interesting part of the story but nothing can top the badassery displayed in 'giving the Covenant back their bomb'. Which cutscene is best just depends on what you value most in a Halo game
@@opulenthaloI disagree. It's just a cool one liner and some action. The Gravemind scene on the other hand is an awesome twist that shook me to my core the first time I watched it. It is the first time you realize that Flood is not this mindless parasite but an incredibly intelligent and strategizing foe with the aim to turn all biomass into thinking, hating flesh.
@@glow_170 I personally think the best cutscene in Halo 2 is either when Tartarus betrays the Arbiter and sends him down the pit or when Arbiter confronts Tartarus and reveals the truth about the rings to him, you can tell Arbiter was so hurt by being lied to all his life, and desperately wanted to show Tartarus the truth to save him.
@@masturch33f66that's a good one. I also like the dual scenes of Chief getting honored while Arby is getting dishonored, it's really solid cinematography and storytelling. (You can tell I'm a film student😅)
