@@StealthyAssassin007Muguruza was far more fatigued from her match against Karolina Pliskova. Plus she had less time to recover than Krejcikova had. By putting everything together the only logical explanation how Muguruza defeated Krejcikova is that she used doping to increase her energy and that she bought umpires.

Lol muguruza barely looked at Krejcikova during the handshake. Remember Mugu's "That was so unprofessional of you" at the US Open? Because Krejcikova took a MTO while Muguruza had the momentum.

Well This should be a wakeup call to Muga that she needs to up her tennis next year ! Muguruza's "momentum" consisting in Kréjcikova being in pain. When you have "momentum" when your rival is not ok physically, and you lose the moment the physios fix her up a bit, maybe it's that you weren't playing so well after all. Muguruza is a two-time Grand Slam champion and former number one, but she's always in a rollercoaster of success and failures basically because when she wins, it's all her merit, but when she loses it's because the other player is a cheater. She doesn't learn anything from defeat, and so never improves.
Garbine really wanted this. The sweetest revenge.

What a great match. I would have been happy if either had won it. Barb has a great forehand, and can hit the corners with power and depth. Garb has a good all round game, and her serve is better than it was a couple of years ago, but could still do with a bit more power. She is tall enough to have long levers, and big racket head speed.
But the better player won
The moral of the story: don t make Muguruza angry. She and the destinity will destroy your career. Mladenovic is nowhere in singles after RG 2017 and now Barbora is on a 6 match losing streak in singles

Much better match than with Konteveit from Barbora , but Garbine played pretty well too. Barbora is a great player, but this season has been very difficult for her and she needs a rest. It was a wonderful match.

Garbine really had to dig deep to come back in the second set after such a poor performance in the first. I think she really wants to do well here but Kontaveit might just be too good! Good result today though!

Barbora didn't play her best - far from it, otherwise she should have easily won. I think she hasn't completely converted into a singles player and it's very tough to play doubles and singles in this event. Also, if she wants to follow into Martina Navratilova's footsteps, she's gonna need to work on her physique.
