The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 30 - September 11.

Barbora Krejcikova's style reminds me of 17 y.o. Svetlana Kuznetsova winning the French. Same poise, slow walk. Quiet dignified play.

Krejickova is a disgrace and I'm no Muguruza fan as she did something similar to Halep. Let's look at the facts: Krejickova was playing fine and then takes a medical time out grabbing deeply into her stomach. Comes back serving bombs and twisting her core every shot and without losing more than a few points. Delays Muguruza again with the towel for a ridiculous amount of time in the tie break. Wins pretty much every point to win the match. Muguruza immediately tells her at the net she knows what she's upto and Krejickova didn't make any attempt to say she got it wrong instead waved to the crowd as if nothing was said or that she's just had a medical time out. In 30 seconds she knows Muguruza will pass her to leave the court so she starts a ridiculous face in her hands acting charade and within 3 mins needs assistance of doctors to help her hobble off the court? Utter disgrace to the game with her act

What poor sportsmanship on Muguruza's part .. first of all you can never blame your own poor play because of medical timeouts. I have watched many of Krejcikova's matches and have not seen her take many medical timeouts. And if you are faking it you would take it when playing poorly not when you are playing well. I am 99pct certain she was having some issues ..

Muguruza must be one of the most ungracious grandslam winners, she always seems so conceited, and I remember her comments that 'none of the girls on tour get along' simply because she herself is a difficult person. Here again she shows her colors.. shame because she has a nice game and the looks to be really popular
