    • @@realryder2626 To be fair, every hard rock song I make sounds like nickelback. And as Dave Grohl says, if you play nickelback backwards it's terrible because you can hear Satan, but if you play it forwards it's even worse because then you hear nickelback... But on that v2 VS v3 thing. Maybe you could smash it out in v2, get it roughed out how you want it, then continue the track in v3 repeating things like intro, then verse & chorus to get it polished from what you liked in v2. When you continue a song it uses what is already there as the inspiration moving forward and isn't likely to turn it into a Bollywood song. If you take a little time to learn a basic DAW (cakewalk is excellent and free) or even audacity (also free) (they look intimidating but they really aren't) you could cut out the v3 parts and patch them together to make the non Bollywood song you seek.

  • Suno is by far my favourite AI tool. I've written songs my whole life but can't play anything and whilst it never quite gets the tone I was looking for, it constantly surprises me. I now have 8-10 songs that I'm pretty sure could be good enough for commercial release, not that I would... but I just love listening to them, knowing that's my song, I wrote it, I fine tuned it. Often I write a song, then try it in plenty of different genres and I end up loving multiple versions of the same song. It's genuinely brilliant.

      @flyingstapler1241@flyingstapler1241Ай бұрын
    • @@flyingstapler1241 I write the lyrics (which Suno then sings) and I pick the genre, try maybe 10-20 spins, mixing it up with more genres until I find one that sounds decent and clear. I continue that version 10-20 times with the same lyrics. What I find is that often across multiple versions Suno will hit the same line very differently and you might like line 1, 2 and 3 from one version but line 4 from another version. So I pull it all into Audacity (a free music editing tool) and stitch them together.

The results were crazy - the Travis Kelce AI song was this typical Taylor Swift song you'd get, even the vocals would 90% go for as her voice - and even had a cheesy line "can't you see that love's the real trophy to acquire" in the chorus. The Seinfeld hiphop theme song on the other hand impressed me - AI even generated some lyrics about Kramer, and the Festivus and Soup Nazi episodes, but the funniest thing was that the song's title is "Comedians in the Crib" as a reference to the cast being in Jerry's apartment a lot of the time.

  • That suno v3 is absolutely groundbreaking. Can't wait for them to fix the small pronunciation problems it sometimes has. I bet V4 or V5 is gonna be the peak...until they come up with something else that's even better :D

  • Why did I spent 30 years trying to perfect my craft? I could have spent my time in the pub and waited for this. It's very clever but I tried it and find the process soulless and cold. But maybe Im a bit odd as I love the challenge of trying to create sometime original that takes a bit more than just writing a promt and checking boxes

  • Suno is not only amazing but oh so fun, we sat until 5am in the morning on discord just screwing around with it, a lot of amazing and funny things came out of it. Its very basic and repetitive on default but if you take time on prompts it can really create exactly what you want. Say you have the custom mode and in lyrics you write [guitar solo] it actually puts it in. Or [echoing voice Intro] it actually does the intro. You can then glue together 1 minute parts into any song length you like. It really is something else

  • This won’t Destroy the music industry. This will help content creators use music that isn’t monopolized by the three major record labels. It will create copyright free songs for music producers to sample to avoid the current high prices to clear samples.

    • theres so much less importance of labels nowadays, so i dont think this does anything, any average person in the west can buy a computer and make studio quality music

  • I have no major concerns about AI music, as long as content creators dislose they are using AI Music generators. These tools are so close to reality most people can never tell the difference and that is why disclosure notices are needed. Let the listeners decide if they want to listen to a machine or to a human - I think both can work together but only when boundaries are defined. Other than that, good video Matt

  • Something I've noticed with making music with AI. If you're using prompt to song tech and you say "reggae," the song will often explicitly have a line such as the one Suno created, "reggae vibes got the crowd on top". My point being that the lyrics litterally tell you it has reggae themes instead of just having reggae vibes weaved in and letting you pick up on them yourself as you listen. There's almost always some lyric which tells you it has reggae vibes. Just something ive noticed.

  • I love that Suno could have charged way more and not had a free plan, but they have a very acceptable free version (although it's worth less now given you can't use Ver 3 with it) and a very affordable lower tier plan. (Just note the $8 is for a yearly upfront payment, it's a little more for month to month
