This was the fight that really showed Kakashi's INSANE skillset and proved he was easily Kage level. During a decent portion of this fight, he was fighting both Hidan and Kakuzu BY HIMSELF. You love to see it. Edit: Not to take away Shikamaru's thunder, he also popped off so hard

This fight was a great example of teamwork, strategy, and determination. I loved how Kakashi and Team 10 worked together to avenge their fallen sensei, Asuma. Kakuzu and Hidan were formidable opponents, who had unique abilities and immortality.

From what ive seen of hashirama, no way kakuzu would have survived that encounter..he prolly just threw a kunai in hashirama's direction and ran away. Thats what he meant by "fought"

almost all the akatsuki would’ve been mopped
it has more to do with the fact that by that point in Shippuden, Hashirama was not planned (by Kishimoto) to be uber hyped as he made it later down the line. He was supposed to be high tier guy with Mokuton and some shadow Genjutsu but Minato was still supposed to be the most powerful of the 4 previous hokages. Kishimoto later buffed him to be far stronger than Minato for plot devices (like the Hashirama cells)
Maybe kakuzu was that strong but he got cooked so hard that he can't even recover back to that level

4:55 and... there was a bandage on kakashi's wrist. before this fight, naruto was training with kakashi and they attacked each other with rasengans. everybody can understand kakashi's rasengan was worse than naruto's. after the attack, kakashi's hand wasn't good and he looked his behind and saw his teacher on naruto. so if you think the details which i added here, you can understand: kakashi is really badass. also we should remember this details: shikamaru and his friends tried to leave their village for revenge of their sensei but tsunade came and said "i can't let you go, it is really dangerous." after this, kakashi was listening to them in a secret, and said "no problem. i am here, i am going with them, we wil take this revenge." then shikamaru said "if you come with us, what will be happen to naruto's training" then kakashi showed his wrist and said "i appointed yamato to help naruto" after this episode, kakashi fought alone with this 2 akatsuki member. note: 6:47 kakashi's bandage is burning in this scene. kakashi is not only fighting he is also trying to save this team so this is not 1v2. this is harder than 1v2 if there are mistakes in this writing, i will be sad for my bad english. love from turkey.

At hindsight, Shikamaru should have used shadow possession on Kakuzu rather than Hidan since they knew Hidan already. And while Hidan and Kakuzu were paralyzed, they should have cut Hidan’s head since they can use it for interrogation and let Ino and Choji take it while Shikamaru possess Kakuzu and let Kakashi Chudori him 😂
I agreed with this plan, particularly because it removes Ino and Choji's dead weight from the battlefield 🤣. They did absolutely nothing this fight.
Honestly, I think writing would have found a loophole there somehow with Kakuzu’s hearts or his chakara since he has quite a bit of it Shikamaru has a harder time holding down more powerful openers especially the more exhausted he gets Even though he started the fight holding both, I feel like they would have found a way to not have that work 😔

What? he did do that and it failed. Shikamaru used shadow possession on both of them, that’s how the fight started. Kakuzu escaped cause he had already hidden a detached arm with a heart underground before they were paralyzed. At that point the natural course of action was to separate Hidan since shadow possession was not a reliable jutsu vs Kakuzu, especially with his chakra creatures that move 100% independent of his main body.
One of the most pleasant fights to watch in Shippuden. Tactics and Taijutsu at a high level not just fancy "boom bamm" stuff with meteorites and building size Rassengans

People don't get inos role in this fight, sure she's not strong, but she isn't supposed to be, she is a sensory/medical type ninja of course she knows basic combat, but against those too absolut monsters taking on Kakashi and giving him a hard time, it might makes more sense that she stays out of battle and takes care of the others. AND DESPITE that she still took on kakuzu even though she probably knew he would absolutely destroy her, i think that takes guts. Think about it

Kakashi probably wouldn't have had so rough of a time if the other three weren't there. Shikamaru could have been decent support, but the other two really put Kakashi in danger.

After that, Shikamaru would trap Kakuzu in shadow possession for Kakashi to warp Kakuzu's stationary head, or Team 10 & Kakashi would stall him for reinforcements to arrive. Game over. Only reason why Kakashi didn't use MS vs Kakuzu & Hidan is cause it wasn't needed (Chapter 343), but if Kisame was around, he would've fought at full power.

Without it, he can't absorb chakra to convert it into stamina, regenerate or merge with Samehada to transform. It's self admittedly what makes him strong. Kakashi would never fight Kisame without separating him from his blade, because unlike Jin Bee & his crazy chakra volume, Kakashi wouldn't have the luxury of recovering from his chakra getting stolen repeatedly. He would devise a solution to separate Samehada from KIsame or simply warp it with Kamui. KIsame would no longer be invulnerable to physical attacks. And his water style ninutsu would be void since Kakashi would just copy it as he did in part 1. With that said, Kakashi could teleportation blitz him with Lightning blade like he did the Asura path (Chapter 422, page 8), difference being, Kisame wouldn't have the Rinnegan's linked vision to avoid this blitz nor the speed. He just barely countered base Bee's much slower blitz despite knowing it was coming (Chapter 470, page 14). And that's just one win condition, Kakashi could snipe KIsame's head off with Kamui, you have no proof that he's fast enough to escape Kamui's space-time barrier since Kisame doesn't have any speed feats that support that idea.

The fights in this anime are so interesting...at least at this point. At the end they start to throw moon-size meterites at each other and stuff, and it becomes a bit too much...for me, at least.

The thing i hate about this, its a great fight love the choreography of kakashi and kakazu. But its straight plot armor. Shika ruined his chakra reserves in the beginning of the fight then randomly has enough to run hidan far away. Nuts. Plus kakashi was on his ropes literally since the beginning. Just plot armor
I wish Kishimoto had done more with Ino and Choji here. Both of them had abilities that could have been utilized in this fight but he used them both as liabilities. Disappointing since I really like this fight

You mistake sharingan with byakugan. Sharingan is mainly for visual prowess. It can see moves not what's hidden inside something
Well.yes sharigan sees things..like sasuke exibit with deidara..he can see the nano bombs made of chakra like byakugan..but u forget 1 thing..sharigan has uniques abilities..like sasuke eyes cant use kamui though they are same sharingan..each sharigan has traits..thats why perhaps kakashi cant see those other hearts..and also the other pair in obitos possesion has another type of kamui..in kakashi its long distance kamui while the one in obito is use for self teleportation..short distance
