Multiple Shadow Clone Technique
This technique is a larger-scale version of the standard Shadow Clone Technique; there is no real difference between them beyond the number of shadow clones being created. Creating even a single shadow clone will require half of a user's chakra, for which reason the normal Shadow Clone Technique is generally only safe to use for jōnin. Because of how many clones are created with the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, the chakra cost is far greater, rendering it unsafe to use for most people other than the Hokage. For this reason, the First Hokage declared it forbidden and hid it away in the Scroll of Seals. Naruto Uzumaki is among the few exceptions to this rule because of the sheer amount of chakra he has access to.

I’m pretty sure it’s explained at some point that this is true for all users of shadow clones in some way. It’s just more evident with Naruto because his personality is so massive that when it’s split amongst his clones it’s basically still the same thing
@@jonathonthomas1255 Well also because it's a staple move of his, I don't recall off the top of my head him ever NOT using Shadow Clones in a fight after learning how to make them. So you see his so often, you notice that they're individually different and yet still very much, Naruto in every sense. Where as with Kakashi, his is just like him as far as we can tell because yeah, the personality of the user has something to do with it. Kakashi isn't super outgoing or overly excitable like Naruto, so it makes sense that even given seeing his Shadow Clone on several occasions, it just seems to be like an exact replica of Kakashi himself.
There is nothing really stopping Naruto from learning every ninjitsu technically in the leaf. He just has to have a clone go out and learn it.
Well said but the whole of Narutos personality and fight with saskue or orochimarus personality is that Naruto focused on specialisation instead of focusing on many jutsus like orochimaru believed was important
@@mrmayukh403 very true. Also he kinda sorta also focused on the basics too. The shadow clone technique is tuaght to everyone. However the multi-shadow clone technique is the one he has mastered. Also Naruto has master transformation ninjitsu as well, including harem no jitsu and reverse harem no jitsu. One technically plot hole is "why didn't sakura use the basic techniques after graduation"

When Yamato was controlling his jutsu to prevent Naruto from changing into the 9 tails, he should have created an arm rest to be more comfortable. Work smarter, not harder.

Not only is shadow clone a very advanced technique, it's also incredibly draining. The only reason this training is possible for Naruto is because of the nine tail's chakra (on top of Naruto’s own high chakra reserve).

Wrong. He was keeping Kurama's chakra under control while Naruto used it to train. Naruto's clones kept transforming during the last phase of training. If Yamato were suppressing Kurama, that wouldn't have happened at all.

I used to hope at his peak Naruto would have like a handful of shadow clones just “chillin out” at mount miyuboku until he needed to summon them. Also something cool to think about, the scroll that summons something seems like it reflects the chakra amount of what it takes to summon. Bigger scroll bigger summon cost. Tenten has her bracelet summon ribbons because she summons a lot of really small things. Then something like Naruto’s scroll was worn on his back to summon his own clone because of how much nature energy was infused into them. Same thing with Jiraiyas scrolls. Meanwhile hashirama has 3 scrolls that are all twice as big as he was. God damn

It would have just been smarter to have naruto use the shadow clones to learn wind nature then use them to fully master the rasengan allowing him to use rasengan that way he would still only need one clone to perform wind style rasen shuriken
no, because controlling chakra was really hard at this point for naruto still. Mastering a jutsu or just using a bit more chakra(which he had plenty) to make an extra clone is far easier for him

Maybe Kurama was disrupting his chakra that much, that he would never be able to control both things at the same time. And thats why he needed 1 clone to control rasengan, 1 to make the rasengan and one to add the wind nature.

@@BakerClan Lol, because it is wasting extra time. The goal of his clone training was to learn rasenshuriken as quick as possible. If he is going to be using that time to learn how to make a rasengan with one hand. that will cost him an extra few days. They don't have that time, they just need to learn the rasenshuriken as quick as possible. Using one extra clone doesn't take practice, just a bit of extra chakra that he has plenty.... so using a clone instead of mastering the rasengan first is a faster method...

I would say that I wonder if Kakashi *was* successful in creating the Rasengan with his lightning nature and just never realized it because it disappears...but he would see that with his Sharingan, wouldn't he? he's an Uzumaki, the clan known for their vitality and long life span. his mom, kushina was supposed to die right after having the tailed beast taken out of her, because a bijuu dies when the tailed beast is extracted from the vessel. but she didn't die because of her Uzumaki blood. same with Naruto

shouldn't he have to occasionally dismiss the clones to reabsorb the information and then make new clones so the whole group has the combined experience? If it's just 100 clones learning in parallel but separate, then it's just 100 narutos learning on their own. makes it seem like the breakthrough is actually kind of random rather than the accumulation of experience.
This could be an oversight...it could be the writer keeping true to the scatterbrain nature that is Naruto, or it could be that Naruto was pushing his limits as far as he could, so that each clone accumulated as much information as it could before he dismissed it to collect all of the information.
