    • @@L.Ron.Hoyabembe Ronda fucked up switched camps and tried to become a striker when her ground game was beyond any other female at the time. If she stuck to ground game her whole career she'd have been way more legendary. She'd have destroy Holms that night that's just a fact. Ronda was not a striker, and trying to stand against a champion boxer/kick boxer was wild. It'd have been similar to Khabib trying to just stand With Conor for 5 rounds. Conor would have eventually knocked Khabib out. That's just a fact.

  • Whenever I'm having a bad day I'll watch Holly beat the living hell out of Rhonda, cheers me up every time.

    @sizzlinshizzle@sizzlinshizzle28 күн бұрын
    • Why, it wasn't impressive. You have a World class champion female boxer/kickboxer vs a nearly pure submission artist who's coaches convinced her to box. Deep down she knows she shouldn't have switched camps and coaches and tried to strike with Holy. It was dumb. LIke I've said. It'd be like Khabib completely disregarding his ground game and trying to stand with Conor for 5 rounds. Do you think Khabib would survive 5 rounds of striking against Conor? I sure don't. That's basically what thhat fight was. Rondas ground game was leagues above anyone else at the time. Holmes ground game is notoriously dog shit. Holms is a decision fighter that's been submitted multiple times. I love Holms dont get me wrong. I actually was gonna bet on that fight, but knowing that Ronda swapped camps I didn't. Glad I didn't.

      @UsaRubber@UsaRubber28 күн бұрын
    • @@UsaRubber Bro you should watch the fight back. Ronda got holly down and had an attempt at an arm bar. Holly defended, and even the last min of round 1 took Ronda down. She beat her on the feet and neutralized Ronda's grappling.

      @ryansiroproductions@ryansiroproductions28 күн бұрын
    • @@ryansiroproductions youre entirely not wrong. But its very hard to say the couch swap didnt affect her. She had 7 armbar victories before that. When did she switch camp/coach? After the first ko or second ko victory i cant remember. But she tried to be a striker when she was never that. I mean she destroyed tate. Who went on to win 5 in a row and beat holm for the belt. Ronda ruined her own career listening to some dumb ass striking coach imo.

  • Early on in highschool wrestling I ran through a lot of guys within a minute until one day I faced a guy who could actually wrestle and he beat me easily. Winning quick wasn't a strategy of mine, I was just up against low level competition. Rhonda had a great advantage in grappling since women's fighting was relatively new, and she could strike well enough to convince herself she was a gifted striker.

She’ll go to her grave talking about mouth guards and concussions despite everyone knowing her coach was putting delusion into her head about her striking ability and her movie “career” removed her from hard training. Ronda is pathetic.

  • Personally if Ronda never changed camps and coaches and stuck to her wrestling she would have absolutely DOMINITATED Holm. Why she wanted to stand a box with a champion boxer/kick boxer is absolutely wild, Ronda forgot where she came from and how she got where she was, her new coaches convinced her she could beat anyone anywhere, She should have stuck to ground game. Still holds one of the fastest submissions victories in MMA/UFC History, which is vastly harder than a quick Strike TKO/KO. Technique > Puncher Chance That being said. Holy is a beast. Unfortunately If anyone Thinks she is beating Kayla Harrison you're out of you're mind. Kayla is actually nasty, Serious striker, serious ground game. And Holy is out of her mind if she thinks she could take Nunes in any era. She's 42. This is a great retirement fight for her, Unfortunately she's gonna get her ass beat bad.

    @UsaRubber@UsaRubber28 күн бұрын
    • Wholeheartedly disagree. The 😮beating wouldn’t have been so one sided, but a year or two in a proper camp wouldn’t have allowed Rousey to close the striking gap between her and Holm let alone Nunes..Both Holm & Numes are more athletic than Rousey, so even with added wrestling, , she would still probably struggle to take them down.. The disparity in their respective took kits is too great. With the right camp, Rousey might have made the fight with Holm a little more interesting, but she would still lose. Nunes smashes her no matter what. The first time Nunes touches her, that fight is over. If you honestly believe that with a different coach she could’ve won that fight, you are out of your mind. Even Rousey doesn’t bring up Nunes. She got smoked plain and simple.

  • The funny thing is Ronda had the tools and the style to beat Holly, but her horrible gameplan and coaching cost her in that fight. She stood with the striker. Her takedown attempts were weak because they were out of desperation, not part of her plan. Even with her ego and over confidence, at that time Holly was still a very winnable fight for Ronda had she fought smart and played to her strengths.

    @malpal5825@malpal582528 күн бұрын
    • Nah she didn’t. Holly moves to much and Ronda’s takedowns involve grabbing the upper body she doesn’t shoot wrestling she’s a judoka. Holly was winning that fight as long as she did exactly as she did

    • @@CarlosRen1776 Maybe, but that win was the highlight of her entire career and she went 1-4 in her next 5 fights after and despite being gifted a title shot anytime she won a single fight, she's never touched gold again. Not hard to imagine a focused Ronda with a better gameplan could beat her. I mean her career record in the UFC is 8 wins and 6 losses. Might be 8 and 7 soon. I like Holly but she has always been very beatable.

    • @@shawnsdr3406 I agree but even by Holly's own admission in this very interview, Holly was mostly just a striker who had only 2 fights in the UFC at the time she fought Ronda. Both were fighters who primarily used just one aspect of MMA. Holly was the striker and Ronda was the grappler. Ronda's terrible gameplan and ego led her to fight Holly in her strongest area and out of Ronda's best area. Had she not done that, Ronda had a much better chance of winning the fight and had the tools to do so.
