The Allay is an interesting new Minecraft mob which may be in the Minecraft 1.19 new update. This new Minecraft mob which will likely be released in Minecraft 1.19 [if it wins the Minecon Live Mob Vote] dances near note blocks and can pick up items. Allay sorting system, anyone? Its fate will be decided at Minecon 2021 during the Minecraft Mob Vote, where it will go up against the Minecraft Glare. This is how we got Minecraft phantoms and Minecraft glow squids. Will Dream rig the Minecraft Mob Vote this time? Also what the heck is the definition of allay?

Seeing the Allay leashing mobs in a passive way is really wholesome, it's like that video of a penguin running back to the other penguin that is going with the wrong group.

Got to remember Mojang has not fully explained the mobs every ability, mod makers normally add extra abilities that are not confirmed to be canon.

@@jamisonfoglesong7172 There are already lots of randomizers, so the Copper Golem isn't as useful as it seems. At least with the Allay you can get an efficient amethyst farm (which isn't very useful, but at least it's something new)
I wish the actual Allays in Minecraft could leash animals like that! That would be such a cool feature.

Imagine the sorting systems that could be made with this! I suck at redstone, but like if you hide different jukeboxes and have hoppers under the jukeboxes. Can someone who understands redstone talk about this kind of stuff?

The best thing it can be done with the Allay in terms of redstone is farming amatysts, because it is difficult to put a hopper system due to it being really irregular. For normal item sorting it wouldn't be efficient, because when you do an item sorter, although it can cause lag, it only lags while it is on, what normally isn't all day. If you use Allays, they would have to be loaded all the time in your world, so they would cause a lot of lag, just imagine having a 200 item storage and having 200 Allays loaded all the time waiting for them to pick the item you assigned them. I won't vote them because, although they are cute and they may be useful in some situations, if the Allay gets chosen, Mojang probably won't add any item sorting block, because they will say that we already have a sorting system in the game. I hope you read it and give my your point of view :D, vote what you like!

@@haleyjane3542 I'm between the other two, I like the Glare because it can be useful specially for bedrock people, who don't have the F3 as in java, so they can't see the light level. The copper golem can also be useful, but they just said that this golems presses copper buttons randomly, so I don't know exactly what would their purpose be or their applications. I'll try to find out what this golems can do and then I'll decide, but the three mobs are really good this year, I'd accept any of them :D

@@MCjossic I'm tired of people saying the Allay was the only useful mob, it wasn't. the green thing: could probably do something, I completely forgot it's name everything they said about it, it's so forgettable. Maybe it could equip netherite armor and help you find Herobrine (joking). It had some redstone capabilities with the monsters I think, since it detects the light level where monsters spawn. Because people call the Array a flying hopper, I think the green thing should be called a flying daylight sensor. The Copper golem: • Confirmed to add lore to archeology if added • A new golem was wanted in Minecraft for several years • Perfect for making copper useful which will drop even higher in new updates, also is dropped by drowned, and only is used in like 2 crafting recipes • Can be used to create army around your base, they'd probably do nothing but they're still easy to craft • Living lightning rod • Very easy to craft • Copper blocks finish oxidization in around 50-82 Minecraft days, which is a long time (around 60 hours) meaning in redstone farming contraptions using the copper golem you can easily axe the oxidation whenever you see it. Oxidation is not really a problem. • Adds copper button, it's interesting. • will avenge mob a, c, d, Moobloom, and Iceologer • Just as cute as allay, that's an opinion but I'm still stating it as fact • True randomizer, some people saying it's similar to a _chicken and a pressure plate_ is completely false and disorienting, have you seen the ways chicken jump around and do the cha cha over pressure plates? Copper golem execute redstone in a completely different way, copper golem with a button won't accidentally press 2 buttons at the same time, but the chickens with pressure plates will. And the chicken would most likely just stand on a pressure plate doing nothing most of the time, the Golem however, will always be doing something and the redstone build would actually operate _longer_ than the chicken with a pressure plate. In conclusion, no, Allay isn't the only useful mob, that is false. The copper golem definitely does a lot of things. (If my comment was too long for you to read please tell me)

I am voting for the copper golem for a few reasons that I will list below: -Can be used as a redstone activator since it has the ability to press copper buttons. By doing this, you have a few options. One is to make a quick and easy randomizer. Two is you can give it just one button and it will activate machines for you when you can't do it yourself. By having a mob that presses a button, there are tons of creative uses for that. -The rod on its head has been confirmed to be a functioning lightning rod, which is one of a couple ways to deoxidize the golem. -The golem can be deoxidized with an axe or lightning. -You can build these guys anywhere you choose with copper which is very easy to obtain in large numbers. This brings more of a convenience compared to the other two mobs that have to be found somewhere in the world. -They add a new copper button to the game. -When fully oxidized, they can act as statues, which we may or may not be able to place wherever we want, making them work as a decorative piece to your builds.

How do you feel about this guy being added in a year or so when you managed to accomplish a somewhat working version in a day?
I'm just confused as how mojang manages to be so inefficient as a company, they have 600 employees, yet look at how much content they push out in updates, it's nothing, imagine if those 600 guys were all doing as much work as EightSided, we'd be at minecraft update 1.46 by now, now I get that they have 2 versions to work on at once (by their own decision), that not everyone in mojang is a game dev, but still, they put out almost no content compared to the ammount of employees they have, and it's not even high quality most of the time

so from what i gathere is that the mobs are useful in the following Glare: well you know find out dark spots and is good decoration for dark cavern builds and for people good at command blocks jump scares Alloy: could be the knew hopper system and possible putting chages on big storages system probably and a grian (Copper Golem): would be good in timed mini-games although its functions are still unknow we just know it likes pushing buttons and will decay in time

Bro if you really think about it the Glare is just a better bat. Flies to dark areas? Gives an auditory cue for mob Spawning? Hmmm, sounds familiar. The Glare should have just been an update to the bat rather than a whole new mob.

📍I think the Allay is by far the best out of the 3 mobs. It could find tons of diamonds and netherite and stuff. The Copper golem can press stuff but so can other mobs. And I think the glare is pretty useless because it’s easy to tell how dark it is.

I will vote for the allay why I find the mechanics interesting since you could get a lot and use them as a living backpack I could give you a stone and the one that leaves excess on the map the This way I would avoid being from one side to the other picking up materials left on the ground and in case I die I could give you something similar to what I released and bring it to me

Allay means to alleviate someone of hunger or pain. Or alleviate someone of sorrow,grief or frustration so them collecting animals would actually fit their name
This reminds me of the pet plugin where they can pick up the block you mined for you.. very useful while clearing your inventory
