The rascal is an interesting new Minecraft mob which may be in the Minecraft 1.20 new update. This new Minecraft mob which will likely be released in Minecraft 1.20 [if it wins the Minecon Live Mob Vote] runs and hides in mineshafts, giving players a pickaxe with a new Minecraft enchantment when found three times. Its fate will be decided at Minecon 2022 during the Minecraft Mob Vote, where it will go up against the Minecraft Sniffer and the Minecraft Tuff Golem (yes, there was a Minecraft mob vote leak). This is how we got Minecraft phantoms, Minecraft glow squids, and the Minecraft allay. Will Dream rig the Minecraft Mob Vote this time?

i think the “uselessness” enchantment would be game changing. like i’m being genuinely serious that would be so awesome to have on all my netherite gear some good stuff. and i feel like i wasn’t represented in minecraft until now with the rascals horrible posture great stuff
That's amazing that you made it so fast! I also LOVE that you included the keyboard from the copper golem! You should've hidden oxygen tanks or sniffer spawn eggs somewhere in this video too, that would've been even better! (Or maybe you did and I haven't seen it)

"Uselessness" actually sounds… useful! It's like the sword in Creative. You can hold it when you're showcasing something or visiting someone else's base of any other situation when you don't want to accidentally break blocks. It could also prevent hitting mobs, then you could hold it in your main hand when breeding or leading animals, trading with villagers, etc.

I would actually like this mob in the game, I'm glad we also have the Allay and Phantom, but I wish we also had the Iceollager and the Glare, as those 4 fit the Lore of the game the best, as the rascals could also fit Minecraft's lore as well :)
Sniffer fits the lore way better. It being an ancient mob that you bring back could imply there are other mobs that might of existed before all of the current ones. Or perhaps it existed alongside the original builders that created things like the ancient cities, end portal... BEST PART: New plants for decoration and maybe food. The rascal is just a minigame for 6 year olds that needed the chat report system.

@@maxrex280 Yeah sniffer is much more interesting. Imagine they were helping the ancient builders tug their supplies around. Reminds me of how mammoths were alive at the same time as the Egyptians.

I think that instead of bending your back when you crouch, you should only bend your legs. It would be funny if every mob’s posture was fixed to make their back straight, including wardens, players, and even the ender dragon. Just an idea :D
Honestly, this mob's actual twist was kinda disappointing. It would be awesome to have more life in the caves, but this mob feels like it has had it's potential wasted... I guess it would still make the caves more lively though.
I don't know why mojang would have a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very cool mob in plan, but what's the point of having a curse as a reward. perfectly cool mob goes to waste
@@SWithR 1. it not a curse the title said its literallu RUININGG the mobs so the enchant will be good or maybe a new enchant 2.Mojang never said the iron pickaxe is the only reward, it like thinking if piglin was in mobvote and they threw an enchanted iron boot then enchanted boots would be the only reward, my thought is they will have more rewards maybe better than the pickaxe and if the enchantment is a new enchantment then maybe we can get a book for it aswell like with piglins they drop soul speed boots and a enchantment book to go with it

@@Oliver62626 the soul speed was just an example, i never said its a reward, plus inthe case of only taking whats in the trailer, sniffers only just dig out plants we have no idea if they are just decoration or actually useful
We don't know if it only give an iron pickaxe. What if it can give you other, better stuff? Or if you find it enough it will follow you around and be a second inventory? I just really like the concept and don't want it to immediately lose, like the Glare.
well it will probably give other stuff...but just the usual cave chest loot. if it would bring anything mor ethen they would have said it (like they spesificly mentioned NEW plants with the sniffer). and the whole thing about it following you is completly just you dreaming, speculations! don't vote bc of ''potential'' that most likely won't be added anyway!
I believe it will have a loot chart similarly to the piglin, since Jeb said the pickaxe was just an example.
It's useful if your pickaxe breaks in the mines, but that's only an issue newer players are bound to run into. If you're clever enough to bring more pickaxes and pickaxe-building materials with you or start digging up when you run out of materials then the Rascal doesn't really seem much help to you.

How tf do you work this quickly? I literally died making my own rascal model and ace gamer EightSidedSquare is over here making a model, texturing it, animating it, importing those animations to MC, making a mod, and coming up with creative ideas. Btw, your animations are top tier, truly divine

I like to think that rascal would have better loot when you are on lower level, for example on some place he will give iron things, food, or torches, and on way lower something like diamond things, maybe some special items. And there would be a rascal village somewhere in caves where you could find the leader, who will give you treasure after you find every rascal from village
Are you ever gonna release these as real mods (maybe with or without the twist)

The rascal is just a coping mechanism for us gamers and to tell us that we are not alone in this world
The only way to ruin this awesome idea of an mob is that it only gives you enchanted iron pickaxes.

now you mention enchantments what if the pickaxe has a enchantment like smelting (smelts ore+ more xp) this could be accessible everywhere or could be only available through a game of hide + seek makeing it worth your time
