Ok my fingers felt that when you cut the chicken feet LOL Restoring old cleavers like that is always fun you will never get them perfect but that is not exactly the point. It is about it looking great and functioning great. All those imperfections only add to the looks on things of this nature! I had a non valuable sword from the 1700s that i did much the same sort of restoration for all the pitting etc from the rust made it look spectacular

You can remove rust gently by submerging it in vinegar bath. Rust will bubble to the surface.

If the steel is good, you can usually bring it back to great condition, I could imagine people trying that with the crap we have today.

Depends what you buy. You can buy chinese shit steel or real certified still that has top quality, but is more costly. Always check what kind of steel is a knife made out of. Exact Type. If it says Just stainless steel, then its shit steel.

Good job, except there is No point in polishing such old piece to the mirror state. Doesnt fit such old equipment and looks bad. Should have stopped sanding much earlier. Also, be very carefull with epoxy, it can burn your lungs and kill you.
