Don't wear gloves when using power tools, wearing gloves and having them wrap round a spindle or other spinning item and having the gloves drag your fingers in is worse than getting a cut or friction burn on your skin.

This is so cool! I love restoration videos so much, and you're really good at it! I'm sure Kuki/Cookie is being an excellent idea manager behind the scenes. Old paint may contain lead, masks and if you burn the paint off, do it outside. same with sanding rust, a mask so you don't breathe in the rust or metal dust...

I recently restored our pillar drill from surface rust and after oiling it looks really great. make sure you do not get carried away during restoration, the most important thing is to maintain a good fit between all the parts.

I used one of these when an apprentice and still own it's "little brother". The one you restored we called a "breast drill" and the smaller one a "hand drill"
