Welcome back, Bob. It's been a year! Who is Diana Ankudinova? Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. (Height: 1,70 m/ 5,7” ) She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage. There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old. Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started … Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. You hear: Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (But not everyone can hear that.) Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl. Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions. In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children. The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to KZhead and soon she had millions of fans. The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship. Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers. 2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is. She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. This cover of Elvis Presley's, Can't Help Falling In love" now belongs to her and it really demonstrates that Diana Ankudinova has a true contralto sound which is a very rare female voice type. In particular, the tone quality, timbre, the roundness of her sound and the depth of her voice, her resonance, further define Diana as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare contralto voice types. Diana is also a real polyphonic singer which in itself is also a rare talent and is a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which makes it sound like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people mistakingly think she is using a voice synthesizer or vocoder or some other voice enhancement to manipulate her sound, or there's another voice singing off stage, in the background or she is singing over a pre-recorded track. There is no artificial manipulation of her voice going on at all. Also, on average the majority of female singers usually don't reach their full vocal maturity until they are around 23 to 26 years of age. By the way, the judge on the top row that stands up is a famous opera singer that's well known in Russia and the blond woman in the red dress that looks totally shocked and at the end of Diana's performance stands and puts both hands on the top of her head knows she has to compete with and against Diana Ankudinova. The guy you noticed standing on the top tier almost in tears was Yusif Eyvazov who is married to Anna Netrebko, both well-known opera singers. What does it say about her performance if she could move him to tears? She doesn't sing bass and falsetto is a forced vocal technique and not a part of a singer's natural range. She is only 18 so not fully developed, but she is a contralto, a bridge between a man's and woman's voice, very rare. As she matures, I hope she will transition into a full dramatic contralto. You will have to go back in time, 3 yrs ago she performed a song on a talent show for disadvantaged children and orphans called “You are Super”. She sang “ Wicked Game” which is how I was introduced to her over a year ago. She had a sad beginning in her life that you will want to research and was placed in an orphanage. She had won over 40 singing competitions before coming on You are Super, she won the first year she was on it and came back the next year to compete against previous winners and won it as well. This song she performed on the show called “ShowMaskGoOn” was a different competition where she competed against other music artist already know in Russia and at age 18 won this show a little over a month ago. She is called the Queen of Goosebumps for a reason....most people dont understand why they viscerally react like this...it is her tone, how she can produce what almost seems to be multiple voices, due to her extreme amount of harmonics she produces in her unusual anatomy and training. While her range is one in a million (especially her low range), it is really her unusual tone and how she is able to manipulate her larynx to "play" with her tones that causes people to almost weep at times

Diana totally changed the message of the song... she made it more like a tragedy of a strong personality/soul who knows the sad side of love but can't resist the earthly nature of her body, can't help falling in love... wow. And the power of her voice... that's shocking in a positive way. Diana fully confirms her reputation as an Old Soul person. Elvis is just a simple country boy near her. Diana is a musical thinker, she permanently reconsider old music. And what makes me feel a joy - the younger generation Z is fully accept Diana. She is rapping, she is a tiktoker, she behaves with a dignity on a stage, Diana is just a smart beauty. I would say Princess Diana, without exaggeration, is a very good candidate for a position of young people ambassador in the UN.

@@The_MusicPH I believe she has a sympathetic resonance in her voice which almost immediately has an emotional effect! I'm talking out my ear maybe, but that's what it feels like when she sings deeply emotional songs. She makes tough, grown men cry and people loose the power of speech! 😊😊

Cinderella got to play the fantasy Diva and deliver a mini Aria as her opening competition salvo 💥💥 she eventually won the series. She... blew the bloody doors off.. to borrow from Michael Cain with this one.😁😎🤣 She normally has to organise her own performances. This being a TV show she got the full Technical stage support she deserves. This is 5th elements Diva set against Avatars planet at night... sound recording to match. 👍🏼🌟 The arrangement was based on the Tommy Profit minor key version ...but this was arranged by the guy who did her early arrangements for wicked game and Rechencka at 14/15 yo.

Hearing Diana while being in the same room as her is an experience hard to forget according to friends who have seen her in concert. she makes you vibrate to the bones! Some have told me that it feels like she's singing inside you, in your own head .... Could you please react too to The Crow ("Ворона") - Диана Анкудинова in "Rock hit" category. Many people think this is Diana's one of the best performance to date. She managed in 3 minutes to make a demonstration (without being ostentatious) of all her vocal possibilities and skills. Diana was currently participating in a very ambitious NTV show "ShowMaskGoon" ("Шоумаскгоон") shot in Mosfilms studios with Virtual Reality sets. The sound was recorded live. Why "ShowMaskGoon"?: The NTV channel produces 3 other singing competition shows (You are Super ", The Mask" and "SuperStar") the winners of these three shows participate in "ShowMaskGoon which is a kind of superfinal which premiered this year (" Mask "because of the second one) The principle was as follows: there was 9 permanent participants who are both judges and competitors. It is so funny to see when someone new disvovered Diana and is overwhelmed from her greatness and her vocal skills ! Diana is unique with her "dramatic contralto"voice and the Power behind,like a force of nature! She had a very rough childhood, but her new mother which adopted her supported her and gave her love and disvovered her Passion to music by taking her to a Therapie which should heal her p roblems with speaking because she was abused and hurt very seriosly by her cruel Mother of birth! ❤️🥺🥺
