I Frustrated a Tiny Baby Raccoon

I looked out my door and saw this little baby hobbling around my driveway with no parents in sight. She isn't to keen on me right now, as you can tell. It is likely her mother was trapped and transported away to a reserve to protect the chickens. She will be nurtured to sustainability and released back into the wild at a animal reservation.

  • This little fella stayed with me for three days and then went to live with a wildlife rescue foster home where they were already caring for another orphaned Raccoon. They were brought up together and released into the wild at a nature preserve together 5 months later, which I attended to say goodbye!

    • +skogga i was just goona say that, sometimes when raccoon's go crazy they have Rabies and even babies too. i have an experience from getting away from the raccoon on a trail with my friends... Sometimes you have to be cautious and a liitle far away from them. Also raccoons can't be that bad but it is just the rabies that gets in their brain, its not their fault.

    • actually no. not a stereotype. ALL mammals can carry rabies, so the animals that aren't vaccinated in the wild can have rabies. you can never be too careful. I work at a vet clinic and I get my rabies shot just in case.
