Can confirm, very Scandinavian. I watch a Norwegian videogame streamer who plays mainly Trackmania and he's usually giving shit to the Swedish in particular but they always banter back and it's just wholesome fun
See adult Felix just enjoying life really hits hard man, I'm so happy for him. He's always seemed like such a genuine guy, and he brought us all so many laughs as kids and teens, such an awesome collab.

I watched him back in Grade 8 - 9 back around 2011 and 2012 what an awesome journey this guy has been on.
The one time he made me laugh the most is when he got clipped on that bridge calling someone the N word with the hard R. I enjoyed him catching shit for it.

I honestly think this is the best vibe I've ever seen Magnus have with anyone in a video. Genuinely funny and wholesome
i think part of it is that felix is Swedish and he is Norwegian so they got allot in common and fairly similar language. back in the day when me and my mom use to go up to Norway we just spoke our normal languages. they spoke Norwegian and we spoke Swedish and we understood each other fairly well. so i think it's just more natural for magnus because they both are scandinavians talking english and have similar cultures

He listen because he want to improve and he does say it when Magnus talks too technical and he doesn't understand, instead of saying "oh yeah ok i get it" when they didn't understand. Like, i feel like Magnus feels more like he's teaching somebody that want to learn when he colab with pewdiepie.

They both have a lot to learn from eachother but also a lot in common and have complimentary personalities with pewdiepie’s silliness (but intelligence) and magnus’s seriousness (but actually good sense of humor). They’re really, really fun to watch together and I hope to see more of them in the future :)

I find it’s about 50/50. If it’s at my limit then great, I did it. But if it’s an easier problem and I do it wrong then I’ll probably try and do it “right” to force myself to route read better and actually rely on technique.

I subscribed because of this video and went down the rabbit hole after his climb with Alex Honnold popped up after. I’m in awe, and can’t get enough videos now. My husband and I have been wanting to start climbing for a while and this is the push to start!

For those wondering, Mitake is easily accessible by train from Tokyo. It's like an hour, but the approach is just a few min. There's a lovely shaved ice spot nearby for after a climbing snack. Pad rental is something like 1000 yen.

Unfortunately a lot of the mitake problems are(or were in the original book when the grades were set) eliminates where certain start holds were specified and certain holds were off, with a lot of lines packed quite tightly together. The new book is great with color photos but it also cut out a few of the comments on restrictions and focused more on correctness with the harder routes.

I have a confession to make. I subscribed to Magnus after YT offered me a video of his collab with PewDiePie. I was so fascinated by this topic and the fact that there will be a second video of this collab soon. I did the math, between the first and second PewDiePie video I watched 630 minutes of climbing content from Magnus and his friends. It's a very cool sport and hobby, I dream of trying it someday! In the first video my attention was captured by the climbing, now my attention is captured by Magnus and Felix talking, it's so fun to watch :D
