The 2023 US Open main draw runs from August 28 - September 10 in New York City at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The tournament takes place for the 143rd time and is the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year. Last year, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and Poland's Iga Swiatek claimed the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first US Open title, with Alcaraz winning his first Grand Slam title and Swiatek winning her third Grand Slam title.   • Commentators were being messy trying to insinuate that Coco was being a rude teen by telling her coach to stop talking. But I agree with her, it was getting excessive and at that point it could potentially psych out her mental game which is just as important as the physical...

  • Coco to Brad. "please stop talking" I agree let her play. Tennis is and should always be an individual sport without coaching. How can two minds meet when your out there thinking your own strategy and feeling the pulse of your opponent . I don't think sitting in the stands is the same as playing in the game. Sure if you need guidance from your coach then give her the opportunity to ask instead of offering it. I'm just saying he was getting on my nerve in another one of Cocos matches, being very distracting.

  • The commentator I find unprofessional is her always obvious bias against Black women tennis players is Mary Carillo. I have watching tennis since 70s and Mary’s commentary always grates. Lindsay Davenport is great and balanced in her commentary. Coco says her dad gets too excited now to sit in box on court/ Coco is the real deal!

  • Commentators, Pam shriver(?) is fine, but the other woman Mary, whose last name I forget has always had a bad habit of bias against Black players.Hard for her to praise Serena or Venus when she worked more frequently on these shows. She nit picked their playing while always praising the white players. She is for Wosniaki ( whom I love) but cannot for life of her praise CoCo. She will agree with insights of her co commentator who praises Coco, but she will not initiate a compliment.

    • Brad was trying to help, but in the heat of "battle," Coco had to make her own decisions quickly and in real time. Mr. Gilbert's enthusiasm and support are appreciated, but sometimes ya just have to dial it down some when your player's on the court. Sometimes you have to just trust that what you've worked on together will come to mind.
