  • This is very sad… but not. When Mother Nature gave these babies a “no!” this lady stepped in and said “YES!” The world needs more people like her!

    @Butterfly-mt5ml@Butterfly-mt5ml Жыл бұрын
    • Maybe, in fact, Mother Nature gave these little kittens a "yes" :)? After all, we, humans, are a part of nature and evolution takes place in all aspects. Survival is not only instincts or biological factors, but also conscious efforts and decisions? The mother of kittens had no tools to save her babies, so she decided to leave them and end their suffering as quickly, as possible - they would not survive living as stray cats and she knew it. But then a human found them and decided, that they can help thos little babies, because there might be ways for them to survive and live a happy live. Mother Nature is really wise nad kind.

    • @@kasianowak6142 No honey, Mother Nature doesn’t work like that. HUMAN NATURE and wanting to help, does though! A weak, disabled animal does NOT normally survive. Those WEAK animals are usually food for other animals so the strong can live on. Weak genes does NOT make a species live on but in all reality, can and eventually will, make a species go extinct. That’s why animals have instincts (via mother animals rejecting/killing/abandoning their young). HUMANS helped this animal, which I’m happy for. “Mother Nature” had nothing to do with it.

Sometimes when I go out in public in my wheelchair people look at me with pity. I just smile & wave back. Most people smile back when they realize, just because I’m disabled it doesn’t mean I’m unhappy all the time. Animals don’t even realize they are different sometimes. I’ve been disabled since I was high school. I had undiagnosed & untreated arthritis. Then I fell & really messed up my right ankle. Over time & years in retail I messed up my other ankle. A friend told me she really admired how I handled my arthritis & how I didn’t let it stop me, get depressed or have a pity party. I mean it sucks sometimes & I was really mad at the doctor who misdiagnosed me for years, but I’ve accepted it, I’m proud to represent disabled people & show people overall I’m happy & you just learn to adjust. I miss being able to run, play sports & other things, but I hardly ever think about that stuff. More often I think how much I love my wheelchair & I have so much fun in it. My 5 canes & my wheelchair have made my life so much better. Also, my life is pretty great.

They operate in a tag-team way - the 1st person drives, say 30 miles and meets up with the 2nd person at a diner or a mall who drives another leg of the trip, etc. The generosity is amazing. • I do that, too! I have rescue/adopted several FeLV/FIV cats, in the past, because they are still automatically euthanized if surrendered here. I have never been able to place one, but have sent some special needs cats to the No-kill shelter. I put them on a list right away, and they go when it comes up. It has taken over a year, but I’d much rather keep them for that time than see them go. If they become inseparable from one of my cats or with me, that’s when I adopt. A few have got sick and died before going up for adoption, but I give them the best life I can for as long as they have (never had more than 2-3 fosters at once, except kittens, and I don’t keep more cats than I can care well for). I have had to go smaller scale in a smaller home, but it’s nice to see others doing the same! Have worked with behavioral, FLUTD, GI, and many health issues. I agree that we learn so much from exceptional cats! My cat who just passed had chronic, terminal kidney disease for years. He often could tell me when I was sick, before I I knew. I have autoimmune problems, and he’d demand I go to bed, and not leave my side til I got better. We both got chronic UTIs, and he would “diagnose” me (as you know, cats have highly developed senses we don’t). After he pointed this out with insistent meows, I would get symptoms within 1-3 days, so I started just going to the doctor when he called my attention to it. He told me when a cats had an illness, and when my dog had cancer. He sniffed his mouth and gave me the “this animal is seriously sick” look and insistent meow. Vet was seen, and it was oral carcinoma. Thanks to him, we could try treatment and have time to say goodbye. So glad to hear from you, and about your efforts!

    • Nobody abandoned them. When she said "they waited for mom to come back" she was talking about the mother cat. The proper thing to do if you find kittens is to keep an eye on them and wait for a while to see if the mom cat comes back for them because sometimes it's just a simple case of the kittens being accidentally separated or the mom cat is simply out hunting for food and the kittens strayed from their den. So they did that but the mom cat never came back, so they took the kittens and gave them to this lady since they had special needs. So it wasn't a person who abandoned them.

But yes, I agree with you, people shouldn't abandon their pets. But at the same time, you really have to look at things on a case by case basis. I've seen some cases where the person was forced to move and the new place they were moving to didn't allow pets and other situations like that. But then there are those who just selfishly abandon animals, so there are different cases...

  • What a dynamic duo! Wish I lived closer so I could apply for their adoption. I have a special boy, Titus. Titus was found at 4wks old in an alley on a wet,cold and dreary night. Nobody is sure what happened to him, but his head was really tilted, and his eyes didn't track like normal kittens. His eyes wiggle back and forth when he's looking at you. It really didn't become noticeable until his 6 month old check up. It's part of him and can't be fixed, to me it makes him perfect 🥰 💞 ❤️

    • This was my first thought when I clicked on this video!! Like why can't people love their own disabled?? Its so much easier to sell a special needs cat than a human. I spent my summers in high school working ESY (extended school year) for autistic elementary kids. We were always shorthanded on staff and the pay not so great. Not that animals don't deserve care but a well adjusted downs kid or autistic kid could grow up to take care of a foster animal. Its just doesn't make sense to not financially focus on strengthening the human population. Sorry for writing you a novel lol I just really agree with you. You deserve love and support from your community

    • This is what happened when I got my kitties back in April! Our rescue found them together at 3 weeks old 🥺 so when we went to adopt, we fell in love with one kitten and turns out he had sister! The rescue refused to separate them, and so did we. So we ended up with two special kitties 🥰 they're so sweet and have such different, playful personalities, full of beans and just bursting with love 😇✨️🤗

One day I asked him if he misses anything he can't do and his response was you can't miss something you never had. This story reminds me of these precious furbabies.
