  • People booed DC because most people can’t relate to him like they can Jones. Jon Jones represents struggle and redemption. He inspirational to the average person who can’t/won’t live the highly structured and metered life of DC. DC’s ability to stay the course without making any mistakes is very impressive, but also, to a large extent, unrelatable. This is also why I don’t understand people criticizing Jones for talking about god. Religion isn’t meant for people who think they’re perfect. It’s meant for the people who realize they’re not. There’s definitely some pompous religious people out there, but they shouldn’t be considered the norm. They’re walking contradictions.

    • @@td3798 I think you’re conflating relatability with determination. The majority of people can’t relate to the determination DC had/has. If they could, they’d all be star athletes. Everyone makes mistakes though (some worse than others) and that’s why a lot of people find Jones relatable.

Brock Lesnar Is a good example of how steroids don't make an athlete win, he's a former UFC fighter and champion that was clearly juicing before USADA even came and yet still has gotten his ass-whooped multiple times by guys like Cain Velasquez and Alistair Overeem. So to say Jon needed steroids to become what he Is today, Is a pure outlier.

Tiger Woods was a confirmed drug addict and a sexual assaulter, Jordan was a bully that always demoralized everybody around him even resulting to physically abusing them If needed (Including his own teammates on the 96 Chicago Bulls) But nobody ever denies their greatness, just like we shouldn't deny Jon Jones of his (legal issues Included, even).
