This is the story of a Minecraft player who possibly cheated to get a faked Minecraft speedrun world record, and not the story of their friend who did not cheat to get a faked Minecraft speedrun world record. Fake Minecraft speedruns are insane, almost as insane as this description! If you want to see a fake cheated Minecraft 1.16 world record speedrun, this is the video for you!

  • Hi! I'm SpoonTy, the previous WR holder for the SSG Peaceful category. My world just got turned upside down. When I ran the category, I was the only crazy guy who tried beating the game with these unstable seeds and it took me days and a lot of dedication to complete ONE run. When Nikocraft appeared and posted the new WR, I really thought it was leggit, congratulated him for the exceptional (and extremely lucky) run. It was so lucky and exceptional that it was suicidal to even THINK about beating his time, so nobody really tried to beat his WR for a very long time, and I totally gave up this painful yet fun category. Knowing that he cheated, it feels weird. When I posted my WR back then, it didn't last for very long until it was beaten and his video exploded while I was already excluded from the history of this category. That's how it is with speedrunning sometimes, but somehow I feel a bit robbed today. Congratulations to everyone who figured out the truth, and thank you for making this video. My honor is restored!

[one skipped cycle of the hunger bar] Each (1/3) is the independent food piece probability to stay still. • SpaceUK is fake. UK has too much government corruption to fund their space program and uK equals bad. I know this because i don't like the king or queen. In fact,🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸. Trust me bro us is truly better. Uk dose not have a lot of oil, they have to import. Going to space requires Oil and us has lots of oil. If no oil the hunger bar on the space ship would dissapear so fast it is much faster than shown in video. The player's hunger value is shown on the heads-up display in the form of a hunger bar (or food bar), which is similar to the health bar (located above the hotbar), located opposite to it and represented by ten drumsticks ( Hunger (icon).png × 10). One half of a drumstick ( Half Hunger (icon).png ) represents one hunger point or half-unit of hunger, thus the full bar consists of twenty hunger points. It is replenished by eating food, and decreased by player's actions such as sprinting, digging or attacking. Various levels of player's hunger control health regeneration (or depletion) and the ability to sprint. When hunger is at 18 ( Empty Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png Hunger (icon).png ), the player's health regenerates. • If the mods don't release their investigations, it creates a transparency issue. If they do release the details, and KZheadrs spread word of them, it creates a blueprint for cheaters to know what to avoid doing. It's a lose lose scenario, but being transparent is better than being secretive imo, because standards of legitimacy are effectively rules of the sport, and it isn't fair to expect players and fans of the sport of speedrunning to trust the integrity of rules they can't know. Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I wouldn't be surprised if some revolutionary new cheat detection method is invented years down the line and it identifies that half of all popular/top runners are cheaters.

    • As someone who used to be a moderator for a competition in a different game I would be in support of moderators keeping as much to themselves as they possibly can get away with. It's just too powerful to throw away that advantage of not letting the enemy (cheaters) know what your exact capabilities are. Obviously when someone needs to have their runs removed, something has to be said about why, but they should never reveal everything they know.

      @Lyxier@Lyxier Жыл бұрын
    • @@Lyxier I'd say it does count when it comes to being relevant to the conversation over balancing transparency and secrecy. While Eliotex isn't a moderator to my knowledge, the linked document does provide valuable insight into what a cheater should take into account when trying to fake a run. It isn't Eliotex's fault though, as he needs to be thorough if he is going to make a damning accusation on someone's integrity. Should he have sent the info privately to mods and never released the document/video? Should the community be expected to take behind the scenes moderator work as legitimate, when Minecravenger was a moderator at one point, thus showing that undercover moderator abuse could be possible if someone wanted to? There isn't an easy answer, and while I still side with transparency, I'll admit it isn't perfect.

  • How are people still gonna act like speedrunning isn't an esport when our media analysts are just as dedicated but without the pay! Seriously, despite having wrestled with the same sort of fading out problems in my own videos just from an aesthetic frustration, I still wouldn't have thought to check for something like that in a million years. I'm glad that it gets taken seriously, because sometimes people deserve to be taught they can't get away with stuff like this, but it's also always just so wild that people will go to these lengths to try and fake runs. I wonder if it's for the glory of the WR or just the thrill of pulling one over on people, at that point?

    • @@meinekraft667 I guess it's just a difference in how we play the game or watch content from the game. I am more of a builder, so I focus more on things such as location. I would've noticed the TNT missing because it triggered my builder heart that someone would use TNT for stepping stones instead of sandstone. But I wouldn't notice a change in the clouds or hunger bar. It's really cool that you're able to notice such tiny details

  • This is why I dislike Minecraft speedruns...they're far too based on luck. Assuming the runs were simply two halves spliced together, he theoretically could have achieved the listed time given enough runs. Do the villagers have the trades I need? Will piglin bartering get me ender pearls quickly enough? Will blazes drop enough blaze rods? Is there a village close to spawn? Can I quickly find a lava lake? These are some of the many questions facing speedrunners depending on the version and type of run. Yes, the speedrunners are very skilled, usually even the ones with faked runs. The question of world records then becomes almost entirely based on RNG and how much time you can devote to trying to get the randomness to work in your favor.
