    • The suit will never work. It doesn't matter what the suit is made of. If you travel at 200km/he and come to a sudden stop, you're going to get fucked up, no matter what suit you're wearing.

    • @Meme Pog I'm talking about when the suit crashes into things 🤦‍♂️ It's supposedly meant to protect the person inside Idc how tough the metal is. You're getting fucked up inside the suit either way. If you're flying around and smack into something, if you fall off a 5 storey building, if you have to crash land into the sand (like the very first suit in Ironman 1). It's gonna hurt and you will be fucked up.

    • @Meme Pog have an ejection system? Parachute put of the suit. Crashing the suit is gonna be as leathal as crashing a plane. So having a way to ditch the suit mid flight if a crash seems likely would be helpful

  • I am also an EE, and a fan of Iron Man but here are some thoughts: 1. Building the second suit in that many little pieces of metal that move like that with intricate movements will produce an overall weak overall suit strength. It won't be bullet-proof let alone fly. 2. Having all small parts made from a metal that is light enough to fly and strong enough to be bulletproof does not exist. 3. Supersonic flight will introduce so much heat into the structure he will cook like a hotdog in foil. Not to mention it will warp the structure and won't be able to get out of it. SR71 warps, so will this. 4. Let alone all metals will fail if heated to this level structurally as thin as they are shown in the movie. He couldn't hold up his head supersonic, turning it will snap his head off his shoulders and arms off his body at 1/4 these speeds. This suit will disintegrate with him in it. Let alone having control over supersonic flight to out-maneuver two F22's again without any ailerons and wings just not possible. 5. Jarvis would require a computer the size of a room to do those supercomputer calculations at the speeds it does in the movie. Even if Jarvis was ground based and accessed through a communication module, there would be lapses in range and altitude and the speed of those transfers of that much data are not possible with today's telecommunication devices to circumnavigate the globe in space with full high speed data to run a supercomputer. My Electronic Engineering degree is in Telecom emphasis. 6. Easy enough to beat the icing problem with 3.3GJ/s you can make hot exo-suit to melt the ice, warm the person inside and thats not even using NASA insulation tech like ceramic coatings, Aspen Aerogel insulation and vacuum sealing the body in a temperature controlled chamber. This is the most probable to fix out of the problems outlined here. 7. The military has some of these weapons already that are light enough to use in a suit like this, that can incapacitate people non lethally using different kinds of sound waves. DARPA made a lot of this tech. They were going to use it in crowd control but ultimately deemed it inhumane treatment. 8. The most improbable part of the suit is the repulsior tech. If it was powerful enough to do what it does in the movie, Tony's arm would snap off every time he fired it at someone. For every pound of force forward, there is a pound pushing back on his arm. If you have enough force to knock a man back 50 ft then that is how much force is pushing on one arm. Can a man hit someone with enough force to knock him back 50 feet with one arm? No. His arm would be shattered. And if you are supposing that the suit takes the force then there is still a problem in the fact that he does not weigh enough to not move an inch with that much force applied to his body stationary. He would fly back the opposite direction less than

  • We won't have an actual, fully functional Iron Man armor until we somehow invent inertial dampeners, given that the wearer would need something like that to negate the impact of anything hitting the suit from just transfering to them. As it stands, with current technology, even if you made a suit able to do everything the suit can do in the movies, the first missile that hits you or the first time you're thrown through a wall, your organs are going to be turned to jelly and your bones to powder, even if the suit itself is undamaged. Honestly, it seems nothing short of miraculous that Tony survived the fall in his cave suit after he launched into the sky and fell back down into the desert.

    • DaBlueGamer YT All I’m saying is that Elon isn’t a supergenius. He obviously doesn’t know almost anything about engineering but he can’t lead a company as well as people think too.

      @aeb4865@aeb48654 жыл бұрын
    • DaBlueGamer YT Well I’m lazy to write it all out, you can research it yourself in detail. I’m just gonna write it shortly. SolarCity has lots of lawsuits. They can’t install properly, install it really late and they often damage the house when they install. And even though they don’t use premium equipment they are 34% more expensive than other solar panels. It is a scam. When he was in PayPal, he was fired as CEO because he wasn’t managing well. Elon was pushing for online comprehensive banking system while Thiel and the others were pushing for what PayPal is today. When Elon got replaced, all turned out well. He also couldn’t manage the X.com he founded; it was even worse in fact. OpenAI’s AI’s functions are pretty narrow. You can’t see it do something other than defeat players. And considering the budget and the amount of experts working on it, Elon has nothing to do with its success. And at this point, Hyperloop and Boring Company needs no explanation. They were already ranted heavily. SpaceX did no significant space exploration. All they did up to this point is get reusable rockets. SpaceX still has no manned mission in 2019 while NASA had its first one in 1962. Yet they plan on building a Mars base. I think the Mars base was already ranted heavily too so I’ll just go over it. Tesla’s idea originally came from Ebenhard (or Eberhand idk I can’t remember the dude’s surname) and Wlom just threw money at him. And Edison already ran a 1000 mile endurance test for electric cars back in 1910. So the idea didn’t come from Tesla. Not to mention, it has a lot of complaints. Things falling apart in the vehicle, unable to stay in the middle of the lane, seatbelt not buckling properly, etc. Chevo (or something like that) produces better electric cars. And some company whose name I completely forgot is far better at autopilot. I’m only scratching the surface here for all the companies too. I didn’t look things up just for this comment, I only posted what I remembered from the things I looked in the past. If you research, you will see a lot more is wrong. And he treats his employees like shit. I remember a young engineer got fired because he questioned Elon’s working. He also won’t let his workers unionize. Plus he has no engineering knowledge. You can be in top 15%-10% and still easily go to his university. And his parents owned an emerald mine in South Africa and they were multi-millionaires. He didn’t start from zero.

  • I think we’re kinda close to make an “Iron Man” Suit if we already don’t have one that the government just hasn’t told us about...But I feel like if we don’t have an actual threat or reason to create a advance suit it’s gonna take a few decades to actually have one that the army soldiers can just throw on before combat and doesn’t take long to put on and also is available to every soldier on the field.

  • nothing is truly impossible, find the ideal design, synchronize the dynamics, etc., and you'll be able to complete the 1st prototype

  • The answer to the power suite is force conversion at a molecular level. If we can synthesize common elements like carbon, hydrogen and/or oxygen to exponentially act on a surface causing heat and/or expansion we'd have an Iron man suite.
