Musk already beat NASA to the punch.... Years ago. They just don't make it center stage. Also, NASA has dropped space suit development and instead switched to renting them from industry suppliers. As a point of note, space suits are pretty much spacecraft, they just form around an astronaut. Usually space suits costs as much as the spacecraft initially. The next Maned moon suits cost 3.5 billion a peice.

Excellent work, mate. A work of art. I love the concept of the MK 39, a suit that's capable of both launching to orbit, but also sustaining the pilot for hours in the highly radioactive near vacuum of outer space. That it's got a very cool white, gold & blue colour, making it pretty unique even among Stark's other armors, also helps to make it sublimely beautiful.
Next step is to make a gantry system like in Avengers 1

Excellent work, mate. A work of art. I love the concept of the MK 39, a suit that's capable of both launching to orbit, but also sustaining the pilot for hours in the highly radioactive near vacuum of outer space. That it's got a very cool white, gold & blue colour, making it pretty unique even among Stark's other armors, also helps to make it sublimely beautiful.
