Because of the pandemic, the Tokyo Jazz Festival had their invited guests Live Stream their performances. This is Dimash's 13th language to sing in. Japanese reactors praised his Japanese. He did this the year before also. He sang a Kazakh song..."Samaltau"

If you got someone that fits all these ....all within one person.....then yes.....most probably he/she is as good or better than Dimash. Remember, singing in different languages and sounding real good and authentic is tall order which hardly many singers can really do....many can sing in one, two or maybe three different languages....but they can't sound natural and authentic in ALL of them.

A lot of them only comment on his higher octaves, but I love the transitions and his lower register. You should check out Love Is Like A Dream and Your Love. Amazing. Can't forget Olympico, and from "The Singer 2017", All By Myself and Unforgettable Day. He wrote that last one at the age of 19 yrs. old. Thank you for your comments. I live by the beach in California I think it's really cold when it's in the mid 40s, that's as cold as it ever gets here and that's very unpleasant. I've never seen snow, at least not here. I've gone and traveled to it before but wherever you are sounds like the inversion of "hell" if it was an "icy horribly cold burning place" that's what I would think of "Windshield Factor". Yeah - all of that technique, Master Class nuance and conveying of emotion in his story telling and then consider; he is singing in Japanese; a langague he doesn't speak, but has learned phonetically. And Japanese reactors are saying his pronunciation is very good {of course!} You will notice in numerous pieces that Dimash often 'conducts' his voice with his hands, as well as his whole body. There is very little in perfomance that Dimash does that is unintentional, but you're right, it's not just for show. Here, and also if you see him 'drawing the line' of the end note in his Digital Show version of SOS, it's clear that this is also part of his neuroprocessing - bedding down the muscle memory - complementing the vocal instrument. 😊👍

Dimash is a finger, hand and arm singer and it is so elegant when he uses them. He also has a couple of feet and leg stances that are just stunning in their elegance..
We must remember he was not raised in America, and both of his parents were performers. His parents Sveta and Kanat Aetbayeva once asked him why he threw out his hand as if seeking applause. He told them when he watched them perform, they would do that at the end of a show, and he just did what they did. Here is a video of him mother many years ago. I think you will find some of her sounds have passed down to Dimash. Not for reaction just for you to hear her.

After WWII, her heritage was exposed, she was arrested, accused of being a japanese spy, and sentenced to death. Can get colder of course but it will not last. This song was his first Japanese song. He does the song in Mandarin but it has different words I believe and it is equally as beautiful. Try Autumn Strong and I suggest from Kiev where he sits on a stool and just sings or from Singer 2017 when he sang it for the first time in Mandarin and it is stunning as well.
