Japanese poet Goro Matsui, the author of the lyrics of the song ”Ikanaide" ("Don't Go"), wrote on his Twitter account: "A foreign singer performed the song "Ikanaide" in our native language! I've heard it sung by foreign singers, but he's the first one to perform this song in Japanese so beautifully." Also, Goro Matsui shared that he would be glad to hear some more songs performed by Dimash, which he also composed together with the author of the music and performer Koji Tamaki.

Yes. A well known opera singer from Milan compared Dimash to the celebrated Italian Opera singer Farinelli - born in 1705. She said she was grateful to be alive 'In the time of Dimash' and that not since Farinelli's time had there been a singer of such outstanding skill and capacity that all the famous Composers of their period would leap up and compete to write specifically for this unique voice. Certainly we have seen this happening with Igor Krutoy - whom it is said came out of retirement to write for Dimash [ See their First major work together; 'Olympico' and also the more recent 'Stranger'] Igor - in collaboration with Dimash who has also studied Composition - has also rearranged a number of his previous works. Some of which first performed by the great Lara Fabian. 😊

Dimash isn't just "good" in one respect in terms of his mastery of all the myriad facets that you delineated - his breathlessness, his power, range etc.. No, he is excellent "flawless" in all respects. His command of and ability to execute on his command basically anything he can imagine is totally integrated, cohesive and coherent. He doesn't have to think about it anymore. He is a living master of what he was born to do and does. The levels of his talents are a once in a lifetime gift to us from God to witness and aspire to in our humble, paltry manners as we go along our ways - he is an inspiration of what a man can be - if they make the sacrifices, pay the price. Like all the greatest - he will be remembered - not here today deservedly forgotten tomorrow - not a flash in the pan narcissistic idiot like most of those who parade around like randy roosters on the top 100 hit parade that have no real talent but can spark temporary notoriety. Think Machine Gun Kelly and his now - God awful - ugly - all black tattooed upper body - as if anyone in their right mind with real appreciation of class (or music) cares what a flash in the pan - boy - like him does to disfigure himself and make a fool of himself - along with the legions of other fools that surround him now, or that came before and will follow. No, Dimash is the REAL DEAL; a true talent, genius and a light unto the world and that, is what and who we are witnessing when he sings and performs.
Each Ikanaide is meant to be sung with a different emotion. The original Japanese lyricist Goro Matsui said Dimash is the first non-native Japanese-speaker to execute that to perfection. This song is a Masterpiece. He just keeps getting better and better. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿

You see right before he starts in his face. He dives right into the song and makes a connection then he starts to sing. A technique he does with all his songs. It’s why he is so impactful when he sings. You can hear and feel the emotions as he sings. His ability to emote while singing is so powerful. That’s why even if you don’t understand the language he is singing in we can still feel we understand the emotional message. Then you add his ability, skill , passion and you have a performance that leaves you speechless. His choices in his approach are so intentional and thought out. Even his stage performance is designed to capture you and keep your undivided attention. I never heard that song and appreciate another one from him. Thanks bud! I appreciate your work! I haven’t met too many You Tubers that treat their fans the way you do! I along for the trip to you growing even bigger!

Americans, who truly appreciate music, already have. Been a “Dear” before the term has been coined. Western music is basically…garbage. Hate to say it…if you want to hear “true” art…look to the East. Also, Dimash is the best singer I have EVER heard.

I am American and have loved and watched every thing I can find about Dimash and his family. The problem with America and other Western Countries is that jealousy will keep them from appreciating real music which Dimash delivers. Females are pretty much naked along with their dancers and can’t do both. Since finding Dimash, I rarely listen to American/Western music unless I am doing chores and appreciate the music not the lyrics. I am 65 and find it disgusting the way they all sound the same and more than likely wear more clothes to bed than they do in public. Dimash has trained really hard since age 5. I hate it when people call him an alien. He’s the type of human we should all strive to be. Respectful, talented, educated, family orienting, humble and extremely appreciative of all of his fans. Dimash is beloved in America. I first saw him on an American singing competition called World’s Best. The show only lasted for one season (2019) and Dimash is still going strong. Dimash is a salve for the soul of a world in chaos.
His use of the air and breathy voice when singing is a work of art in itself. And the emotions he embeds in each song make you live in the picture he paints

He really paid honor to him with this performance, even mastered the Japanese pronunciation (according to the native Japaneses). This feels a mature masterpiece. "It's not only the technical stuff - - it's the soul he brings to the music, it's the emotion he brings to it." Exactly this! All those technical wonders surprise and impress of course. But without the soul - his true emotions - it wouldn't be enough. Dimash has a big, loving soul which comes through in his voice. That's why he touches so deeply. Also his works are typically humane, often sad but still hopeful. It feels sublime. Very beautiful, positive and uplifting. I love it so much.

We Americans first had the opportunity to hear Dimash perform this song [under the names Autumn Strong and Late Autumn, the name I preferred.] on the Chinese competition show I Am a Singer 2017, more than 5 years ago in the early part of the year. It told the story of an actress of Japanese origin who became very popular and beloved under a Chinese name in Japan-occupied China in World War II. But when WWII was over, her origin was discovered and she was expelled from China, the Japanese not being very popular for their behaviour in the previous years. It was one of my fave songs on the show, which I was late in discovering on KZhead in 2019, but many other people knew about it already and Dimash was a sensation in America and pretty much everywhere else. I still believe and say that Dimash is the greatest singer who has ever lived here on Earth and count my self extremely lucky to have been here at the same time as he has.

There are subtitles for this song on the upload on his own channel. The fan groups work together to do subtitles in multiple languages for him and the team. People have commented how Dimash's songs are cold and emotionless, I don't understand how anyone could listen to this and still believe that. For me, it's the most beautiful song he's ever sung and will always be at the top of my playlist. We sat through 4 hours of the jazz festival just for this song and I would happily do that again if it was the only way I could ever hear it again.

@@StrateleStudios the version on his own channel is exactly the same one but with subtitles. The Tokyo Jazz Festival had the rights for a few months but then handed them back to Dimash to upload to his own channel. It's usually best to get tracks from there as they will always be good quality with subtitles. There are of course, exceptions of great performances that have never been uploaded to his channel especially the epic performance of Olympico/Ognie Pietra from his solo concert which can be found on Igor Krutoys channel because he composed the song. P.s. if you ever react to All By Myself don't react to anything that shows him in a gold/bronzey traditional costume as that version is heavily cut and edited.

I like the Chinese versions of this song just as much, although some exist only on fancams, and because the lyrics are different there are certain different nuances to the performances. In my opinion, there is almost always no wrong version to react to, unless it is one from a time he was very sick or a fancam with a bad sound quality.

Boy oh boy, I have such a soft spot for Dimash 💖 he's so young, yet so talented, and still he's very sweet and humble, zero diva complex. I first heard this song on the Chinese show where he was participating and he quickly brought me to tears with his heartfelt performance, so gentle and magical, still to this day when he throws that super high note, gives me chills and leaves me teary eyed
