Sims 1 vs Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 - Food Stand
Sims 1 vs Sims 2 vs Sims 3 vs Sims 4 - Food Stand
Sims 1
Food stands were first introduced in The Sims: Hot Date and more were added in every expansion after. Food Stalls give Sims an opportunity to replenish hunger while on community lots. Sims can purchase food or drinks from these stands, and can choose from up to three different types of foods, depending on the vendor. They can buy, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream, sushi and many more. In The Sims 1. the vendor prepares the food before handing it to them. After ordering the food Sims will find a place to sit or they will eat the food standing up.
Sims 2
in The Sims 2: Bon Voyage, Three food stands were introduced -a food stand for every vacation destination. All food stands have a hunger and environment rating of 10. Every meal costs §25. Sims don't talk while ordering the food. you'll be charged after choosing the meal. in The Sims 2, every meal is prepared by the chef. After your meal is ready, the chef will bring it to you. If the food stand is located in a vacation destination, Sims can ask the chef for travel tips. One Complete Diner- is a fast food stand that was added in The Sims 2: Apartment Life. It can be originally found in Belladonna Cove. Sims can purchase hot dogs, hamburgers, and gyros, each of which cost §25. The clock on the diner is actually moving and showing real in game time.
Sims 3
The Sims 3 Food Stalls were added with The Sims 3: Seasons. They can be originally found on the local festival ground and vary from season to season. Unlike The Sims 2, food is not prepared on these Food Stands, they magically appear in your Sim's Hands.
I wanted to mention the Snow cone machine. After choosing a flavor, your Sim will grab a cone, manually open the small window, scoop the snow and mold it on the cone and finally drizzle the syrup on top.
With Sims 3: Island Living two more food stalls were introduced, that can only be placed on a resort.
Even though it's not considered a Food Stand, I wanted to mention the Ice Cream Truck. Sims 3: Late Night introduced the Food Truck that can only be found in Bridgeport. Food trucks appear and disappear during the day and they always set up their shop at a special parking space. There is no visible driver or a vendor in both the Food Truck and the Ice Cream Truck.
Sims 4
Food stalls were reintroduced in The Sims 4: City Living. In Some worlds, food stalls differ depending on the day of the week, while in other worlds, food stalls never change.
With Sims 4: University five new food stands were introduced. On this food stand you can also buy food to go, that will come in a bag. Also with drinks, and they are poured manually.
with Sims 4: Snowy Escape were added five new food stalls and many different food option to choose. If Your Sim has a Junk Food Fiend lifestyle, they'll have the option to add bacon or sugar on a meal. Every Season has it's own food stand, spring, summer, fall, winter
With Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle, one more food stand was introduced. On every food stand you can haggle for the price.
And finally, there is the Selvadoradian Food Stall introduced with The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure.
Who Is Your Winner?
Timestamps (in case anyone needs it!) 0:06 - The Sims 5:43 - The Sims 2 9:19 - The Sims 3 13:18 - The Sims 4
Thanks!
The Sims 1 is the winner here for me, I love that they even added the accents for vendors!
yesss ❤️
I love how NPCs had all unique voice actors just for them in the Sims 1. That's something they did way less in the Sims 2 and stopped doing altogether with the Sims 3 onwards.
im cool with Sims 4 but one thing I will never understand is how fast they eat, like they just sit down and while the other are going to sit down, the first one already finished in a second
and all of them fitting according to the theme very well! The Sushi vendor has the most distinct voice, followed by the ice cream guy
If you still have it (sims 1) I can reccomend Parsimonious for downloadable stands. They have unique food vendors cloned from the originals, and copies (earlier ones look unique but sell the same items, unlike later versions) Also, Secret society of Woobsha has some excellent cafe/bakery stuff from Ínes like the strawberry items (you can grow them at home have a home lot sellable set but the same items in downtown/holiday/commercial lots become store items.
Sims 1 is honestly impressive considering it was being made in 2000
yesss ❤️
Sims 3 and 4 could never :(
This time The Sims 1 is really a winner to me , they have variety of food stand and unique interactions , also I love the Sushi vendor with her cute voice 🥰, sound really like japanese , plus the excitement when Sims buy cotton candy ! I love this video , keep watching it ... Sims 4 may have variety of food stands too but still they dont have any special interactions ..
I agree with you! Thank you so much❤️ ❤️
I think there might have been some Japanese mixed in I know I heard Maguro witch means tuna
@@mortysempai6585 yeah I also heard arigato
And the hotdog stand lady sounds French
Me too ❤❤ 1、2 is wonderful😊
I’ve always loved the Sims 1 version of Simlish and how the ice cream vendor sounds like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets 😂
hahhaha yes, He sounds like he's tired of living 😂❤
Yeah,😂 He must've been learned from them
Sims 1 won because it offered a wide range of vendor options.
I think for its time Sims 1 did an amazing job ❤
TS1 definitely won this one. I love all the unique voices and interactions. Also how the vendors actually cooked the food, cleaned the tables, wiped their hands, and the customers could wipe off crumbs from their chests. Definitely unmatched here!
The Sims 1 Sushi vendor actually sounds like she's speaking Japanese 😂 I love it.
She actually is. "Arigatou" "Koredashite" "Itadakimasu" even bids you farewell with an "Itterashai masen"
@@Momoirokagami I thought she was saying similar words but just slightly off. I need to listen closer.
Nah, she’s not speaking Japanese.
Nowadays it would be considered racist.
@@LanaReyyyyyyit cant be since the entire concept of the game is they all speak a fictional language
2:30 I love The sims 1's Japanese vendor's simlish😆😆😆
I'm still blown away by how pretty and atmospheric the Sims 1 item are.
the sushi vendor is speaking in a "japanese simlish", right? thats so cool, I've never paid attention to that!
hahah yess! I've never noticed this before ❤️
Yep you know right
The winner is TS1 for me. The game offers more variety in many aspects. Different Simlish accents for vendors and unique personality for them, many types of food ¡the many animations to prepare each food is amazing! Is sad to see thats features never went back again :(
Fair enough ❤️❤️
For EA to have Sims drinking gumbo out of straw… they deserve to go to hell 😭😭
It must be a different type of gumbo cause I never seen nothing like that😭
To be fair, just look at the ingredient list as listed on the cart in the catalog... LOL
It's supposed to be horrifying, if you read the list of ingredients it's inedible
I love the level of detail in all The Sims 1 animations.
I loved it too ❤
I love the hip closing looool she's such a diva.
The fact Sims one has so many options for food stands, the way sims eat the burger with a knife and fork all prim and proper, and the fact the Sushi vendor actually speaks Japanese words. It's so good.
The only annoying thing in The Sims 1 ones is they fill so little of the hunger bar it ends up not being worth the price
Yes! they fill so little hunger, but decrease so much bladder
I know sims 1 is not as popular these days, but I hope someone made a mod to fix this - it really annoys me, too! If there is no mod to fix it then there should be one 😤
@@VeryBlueberrryyou can cheat in ts1 by using console commands to delete your sim, they will then reappear with full needs bars
@@SmokeyBCNcan only do it at home though, I wish it would work on community lots
@@VeryBlueberrrythere is definitely mods! I think people have modded objects that fill your Sims needs
Sims 1 is so wonderfully charming! Maybe that's why I was so obsessed with the food stands as a little kid lol. Why is gumbo served in a cup with a straw, though!?
Sims 1 definitely had more unique interactions! Detailed. 🥺
16:57 wow I didnt know that there is Vietnamese food stall in the sims 4 ! :D I came from VN so this is kind of proud for me :D 19:23 the guy's legs above the trashbin omg!
❤️❤️❤️
in sims 4 they literall have a place to cook the food but dont use it LOL
All sounds, all graphics from Sims 1, it will always be the winner for me, my nostalgia is just too big because Sims 1 is my childhood game.
Sims1 and 2 is just so realistic compared to 3 and 4. But I also liked how diverse The Sims 4 is with their food stalls. I mean to include Vietnamese, Indian and Filipino food stalls. And the sims 3 for having food trucks. Mix them all together and you might have the perfect gameplay
You forgot to mention that there were two food stands with the High School Years expansion pack, one of which is required for the high school lot and one of which is required for the thriftea store. If a food stand from a different expansion pack is placed in addition to the required food stands on both lots, all food stands in those lots will behave very weirdly.
Yes! Thank you for bringing it up! ❤❤
I never got to play ts1 growing up so seeing how much detail, love and variety there is in it thanks to these videos makes me a bit jealous
Sims 1 was the hardest game out of all of them. But it was soo fun
I know the feeling 😭 I only ever got to play sims3 and Sims4
$15 for a hotdog is wild
Love Sims 1❤❤ I didn’t know there were so many food stands in sims 1
I like the NPCs in Sims 1 and how they prepare food in Sims 2.
love how in TS4, the bowl magically fills with food after the vendor gives it to you 8D
hahha yess
Not very realistic
@@MELLUMOADA it’s sims .. nothings very realistic
@@MELLUMOADA Name something that IS realistic in any Sims game. I'll wait.
The fact that Sims Open a Counter Cabinet to get things like Bowls, Pots or Pans out of the Cabinet before placing the cut up ingredients into them, and in the case of a bowl. a spoon to mix it from the drawer. which is Only Present in The Sims 2, neither 3 nor 4 replicated this Detail, nor have I done proper justice in the full description of what the Sim actually does
Sims 1 wins, but for an oversight - Sims 3 University Life has the barista bar that's very similar to Sims 1 one and serves pastries and drinks, and Sims 3 Store has the popcorn and candy floss machines, though they aren't as nicely animated as TS1 ones.
Sims 4 wins for the much variety of food. While Sims 1 wins for the nostalgia of the vendor style.
I loved the vendors in Sims 1 ❤️
But the animation are all the same
As a Filipino myself, I'm so glad that they added some of the Filipino snacks on the Sims 4 that we loved to eat such as Siopao, Lumpia, Ensaymada and Adobo. :>
I'd love to taste Filipino's Lumpia and compare with Indonesia's Lumpia
Gostaria de experimentar 😋
Ensaimada is also a Christmas dish in Spain
2:39 oh my gosh she sounds like she is speaking Japanese. That is so cool!!
The cutting of the burger and music at 1:53 has me dying laughing 😂😂😂
6:08 I like to watch them cook in The Sims 2
haha samee ❤️
This is actually a rare part from The Sims 2 that I'm really dissapointed with because the game does not have those food stand varieties like The Sims 1. If it does, I bet the objects and animation detail would look so cool to watch in the game, even if devs just replicated the animation from The Sims 1.
I love the sims1 one, i just love seeing the different animations
I love how cartoony goofy the Sims 1 voices where! Each NPC are their own characters with their own voices!
WHYS THE SIMS 1 MORE REALISTIC 😭😭😭 and the sims 2 as well
S4 wins with the food variety by far, but Sims 1 wins with the animation: the social interaction with the vendor, the vendor cooking the food, serving and then the plates getting cleaned up 👏! Sims 1 and 2 really had so much attention to the animations.. sims 3 and 4 cut animations short or removed them entirely when ever they could, which makes me so frustrated.
As introvert girl, the sims 2 relate with me in real life. I will minimize social interaction with staffs. Always order the food at the smart screen and pay with cards or scan from my phone. I hate to talk with someone and must repeat again. I ever order a food but takes forever to come and they serve me wrong. Hate it so bad. When I ask the cashier lady, she give me bad attitude and say that is what I order. Geez... That's why I only eat outside after read review on internet about any restaurant or cafe. If they have a system that guarantee give me the right food that I order then I will come or quietly make order even when come alone just like in TS2.
The shrimp vendor is such a diva, I love her closing the lid with her hips.
I found them all very interesting, but I confess that I only started to use food stalls more with The Sims 4. Until then I thought a mechanic was kind of useless, since the restaurant was more fun. Except in The Sims 3 which was a magic hole.
Of course TS1 🎉 Ahh how I adore magic town 😍 Thank you for video 🫶🏻 can’t wait to see next one ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! More to come! Thank you so much for watching! ❤❤
Sims 1 for the win, but I must say Sims 2 vendor with the plate change animation shows how detailed the game is, along with the fitted seating. Though I prefer just the stand and the seating will be separate tables and chairs.
Also Sims 3 and 4 food magically appears and then the empty plate disappears when it's done? Boo...
I love the humor in your videos 😂 keep it up! ❤
Thank you! Will do! ❤
sims 4 obsession with food stalls needs to be studied..its like the kids crafting tables
Больше всего мне понравились продуктовые киоски Sims 1 и Sims 2, так как большой спектр выбора (в первом симсе) и видно готовку повара. I liked Sims 1 and Sims 2 food stands the most, as there is a wide range of choice (in the first Sims) and you can see the chef cooking.
I loved the detail of the chef cooking! ❤
I'm gonna second this one. I like the particular food spread available in the Sims 2 food stands, and the Sims 1 stands are just neat!
I never played the sims 1. And i didn't know the NPCs has accent!😮
Love how the sushi selling sims from sims 1 stall have that somehow Asian accent.
I just love how funny sims 2 is...everything abt it ugh i miss playing it already.
The Sims 1 also has a McDonald's food kiosk, but it has to be downloaded separately. (It's official content too, not a mod.)
Those drinks from sims 4 are also sold in sims 3 in a food bar which came with sims 3 univercity
Yess! ❤️
You forgot Sims 3 popcorn & cotton candy, harvestable stand, cupcake stand. I think they should be counted cause your sims can technically buy from them. But I don't really see a winner because they all are good and I love them in each sims generation.
Yess! The video started becoming too long, so I wanted to make a short comparing them to Sims 1. ❤❤
15:00 i love the fact whenever you go to this place there is aways a angry sim nearby
I like how the ice cream truck and food truck have black shadows where a npc sim would usually be standing. 😂
I couldn’t pick a winner for this one. They all were different enough. I never used the food stalls in the games though.
The depth in Sims 1 and 2!! The table cleaning!! The variety Swapping out courses!!! 😢😢😢
So the Sims 4 food is basically like Starbucks food. Already made, zap in microwave and serve 😂
0:06 - the sims 5:42 - sims 2
pls never stop making these videos i love them so much
Thank youu so much! ❤️ ❤️
your videos are so well designed and fun to watch, please keep making more of them ❤
you are criminally underated and you have earned my subscription. also you upload way more then the red plumbob so thats a bonus too
Thank you so much for subscribing! And thank you for your kind words ❤️ ❤️
@@tintaverse no problem buddy! keep up the fantastic work
so funny how almost all the food vendors in 4 have the same tattoo.
sims 1 food stands look so appetizing
There's also a food stall from growing together and some seasonal ones from season
Absolutely loving these videos.. the only videos i don’t need to fast forward! I truly enjoy your work and admire this beautiful content! I subscribed and hope you will continue to do such amazing videos for the future. In a busy world, the nostalgia of sims game brings back a lot of joy and happy moments in my life! I hope you knew how much you make my day with those videos! Keep up, you are changing someone’s entire day for the better! ❤
Wow! Thank you so much dear! Your comment made my day! ❤❤❤
The sims 1 put so much detail and research into their food vendors, why did they drop the ball so hard on gumbo lol
The gumbo is supposed to be Spooky. It's unrealistic on purpose.
One of my favourite things on TS1 is to order snacks from the food stands. I love ordering ice cream and sushi.
Sims 1 was way ahead of its time
The way the sims coocked in the sims 2 is top tier😢
Thank you very much this is so fun to watch at!! Your sim on ts4 even got heavier because she had to eat a lot for this video😂
Glad you enjoyed it! Oh yesssss, she got heavier. I got her tasting so much food haha ❤️
and I love how at 9:08 the Floor starts to turn Gold, with sparkles and I can hear the sound of a Infallably Good Witch casting "Beautificus Locus"
There are also stands in "Italy" in Sims 4 and one in San Francisco with random food. Some food is also served in bars. In High School we have bubble tea and ice cream stands.
... Italy?
@@ShinyShilla I forgot the name of the city from "my wedding story"
@@user-kn6qh1xb2s Ooh! I didn't buy that pack because of the bugs so I didn't know! Thank you!
@@ShinyShilla Yeah, it is quite glitchy, but the town is nice. BTW in my case "High school" is waaay more mulfunctional than "my wedding story"
oh I like these typa videos. no commentary, original sfx etc, just write it on the cc
These videos are so cozy to me. I take a shower with sims audio running in the background xD
❤️ ❤️ ❤️
The sim drinking in front of a grave was fun. I liked her smashed the popcorn bag and the animation of ice cream
Sims 1 is the best. I love the ice cream 😭
it looked tastyy ❤
Sims 1 is the best. This is my childhood...I remember all food stands even 20 years later...unlike the Sims 2, I played the Sims 2 in 2006, but now I don't remember the food stands.
This is the most niche thing ever but I love it
I'm honestly very impressed at level of detail in the Sims1 this time. Very good, but i like the look of the Sims 2 food stands the best, and I like the variety of foods in Sims4.
Not gonna lie, the ice cream truck in sims 3 scares me lol
Does anyone know how to get ts1? It’s the only one I haven’t played and from other people’s words I heard it’s decent for a 2000s game and better than 4
The Icecream truck is creepy. It's pitch black inside and the icecream just magically appears in the sims' hands.
12:23 🙀 I still haven’t found a way to permanently get rid of that thing.
haha you don't like the Ice Cream Truck? I find the music a bit creepy ❤️
Sims 4 has been using food stands to make up for the lack of original ideas and the unwillingness to create fresh animations. I'd rather have 4-5 food stand types with unique behavior each than 20 food stands which only differ by the sign and food list.
I love that they drink the gumbo 😂
Hello can say someone say why is Freezer bunny popsicle missing from my Seasons Sims 3?? Is it only for console I have it on pc
5:07 that music is funny
The Sims 1 &2❤❤❤
These videos just always highlight to me how empty the sims 4 is
How is it there is no malls in the sims 4 but there is in the sims 1?
the madam hungarian gulyas is great
In the Sims 3 all bars work as food stands, since you can order food from them.
I love sims 2 when worker cooking then player finish eat plate then worker grab plate that nice details! I wish more like sims 3 or sims 4 variety of countries food! 😮😭🫡🙇🏻♀️ Sims 4: worker not cooking when food on plate for save like leftovers… and player finish eat after steal plate… 😅 then I love different variety of countries kind of food same as sims 3!
I think vendor add in werewolf pack too… alike any meat 🍖 🥩
The Sims 1 - The best!!
Hmm I thought there were more in sims 3, I seem to remember having more in game. The sims 2 one is just the same thing 4 times reskinned. Sims 1 wins for sure!
Usually it's the Sims 2 that wins for me. . . but this time it's the Sims 1 not just because of the wide choice of vendors but because of the details too. . . her handing your sim the chopsticks separately to the meal for instance, and the ice cream vendor who actually picks up a cone before scooping ice cream into it
The Sushi vendor seems so nice
