  • Actually, it's theorized that Mary Poppins is a Time Lord; she has a traveling bag that is substantially larger on the inside, she wears a bow tie (which is Cool), her umbrella is something of a TARDIS (bit of a stretch, that), she's elusive, mysterious, refuses to "explain anything," and can speak to animals. Now with Emily Blunt taking over, we know Mary Poppins can regenerate...

  • Well, that fly scene is obviously a nod to the original 1958 movie "The Fly" where the scientist who merged with the fly is trapped in a spider web, with the body of a fly but the head and arm of a human, who screams "Help me! Help me!" as the spider crawls closer and closer. Conversely, the scientist character has the head and left arm of a fly. It's pretty darn creepy, and much less gruesome than the remake in the 80s.

  • I think the theory of Mary Poppins being the same type of creature as Pennywise is possible. Though I think that it’s kinda like a good one evil one situation. They both disappear for about 27-30 years (Mary Poppins Returns furthered my suspicion) and their main audience is children. I also notice they both can mess with reality to create things like dolphins in bathtubs or burning hands pushing through a door, but I notice how Mary Poppins only creates happy creations while Pennywise only creates disturbing creations. I think Mary Poppins gets her power through joy which would explain her interest in helping children with their problems while Pennywise gets his power through fear. Mary Poppins goes out of her way to make her creations as joyful and magical as possible to get the most amount of joy to feed off of while Pennywise tries to be as scary as possible to get the most amount of fear to feed off of. So I think they’re the same type of entity but Mary Poppins is the good one and Pennywise is the evil one. So I agree with your theory, but I shift more to the opinion that they are simply the same type of entity, not the same person.

And according to the oompa loompas, they said "he won't be harmed" and "I must admit, he will be altered quite a bit", they knew Augustus would be changed. They knew all the children would survive, but they would also be different in the end. I must admit, I enjoy the book version more than the movies, no offence. Willy Wonka tries to stop bad children from being in danger too. But of course they won't listen.

  • The theory that Jar-Jar was intended to be a Sith in disguise would've been a very clever twist. Him willingly choosing to play as a bumbling ally to manipulate events and corrupt Anikin to the Dark Side is a surprising way to add in a twist villain. Take a look at Professor Quirrell from Harry Potter as an example. I'm sure a lot of people didn't expect that he was only pretending to be a timid man to find the Philosopher's Stone for Voldemort.

It's an intriguing thought about Rumpelstilzchen, perhaps it's not the child he truly wanted but the mother's Despair over her situation. Despair can be as powerful a feeling as Fear or Joy. But if there exists a being that feeds on each of these what other emotions are there beings for? Do fairy Godmothers feed on Hope or Love?

  • I once thought that it wasn't Wonka who was the bad guy but the Oompah's and it's more trauma than just being bad. I believe they were shunned from society and Wonka welcomed them with open arms but they got furious when he decided to open his doors to the public because it was their sanctuary where they could just be themselves. Not wanting people invading their home, they were the ones who told Wonka to show them certain parts of the factory because they had manipulated those areas to be harmful to the children. That's why in the 2nd movie, all the kids leave as "weirdos", now they'll stand out like the Oompah's did and become outcasts too.

    • There is possibly somewhat relevance to this theory while not being 100 percent accurate obviously, little differences and such, it still pretty much hits the nail on the head . their is ANOTHER new willy wonka movie coming out called Wonka, i got 2 different trailer ads yesterday on youtube while watching stuff and decided to not click skip cause you could tell right away it was willy wonka so i was curious enough to let it play. in the trailer they show how willy wonka met the Oompahs and on top of that it shows halfway thru that willy wonka and the Oompah's had/have a literal war with the humans/human world/chocolate cartel lol (it shows the oompahs as seemingly tribalistic, living on a secluded island from humans and wielding spears/polearms/axes ready to F**k some S**t up lol and if thats the case then they should have no problem morally, murdering people and children lol) (theres also a couple different violent and dark ass jokes from the oompahs in the two trailers i saw. one of them ends with the main oompah saying hes going to quite viciously stab willy wonka with a cocktail stick lol) the oompahs are def more aggressive/bloodthirsty/capable of heartlessly murdering people and kids than wonka does wonka seems batshit crazy sure but he doesnt put off violent crazy vibes or murderer crazy vibes lol

I like to think it as, “Harry Potter can only kill Voldemort”, and vice versa. Edit: Also, another explanation for the Monsters Inc. theory, scarlet fever is spread similarly; touch, and through contaminated objects. So, perhaps the first encounter between humans and monsters happened to cause scarlet fever to spread. Edit 2: I’d also like to mention that John Kramer and Kevin have similar looks. Blonde hair, blue eyes, face shape, etc.

The Harry Potter theories were also very interesting to think about. Very interesting compilation of movie theories!

    @lyndseystrait1513@lyndseystrait15137 ай бұрын
    • Funnily enough, thanks to "The Dark Tower" bookseries we know that Pennywise belongs to a species called "emotional vampires" and that they are a rather rare sight, since there's almost none in the multiverse, at some point in The Dark Tower our protagonist meet 2 emotional vampires, one who feeds of the admiration of the people (becoming something akin to a rockstar) while the other feed of sadness (I'm pretty sure the Gunslinger kills this one), this means that each emotional vampire feeds of a different emotion and that not all of them are bad or dangerous. So Mary Poppins could very well be the same species as Pennywise

I wanna say he once posed as a Gungan king, and in another, he was posing as something else? Of course, these were to help the Republic / Jedi, but still...Imagine him acting like a clumsy idiot, only to really be super powerful (gah, imagine him at Yoda stage!!) Sith who was actually backstabbing BOTH sides under Palpatine's control simply by posing as an ally... Though I wonder how he'd talk once he'd show his true motifs...Would he still speak like he normally did, or would he switch to "NOW YOU WILL DIE, FOOLISH ONES!" instead? Can't imagine a Sith Lord being like "Yousa gotta go now, okie-day?" and stabbing someone. xD

    • Most of the rest are laughably bad or simply wrong, but this one I immediately recognized when I saw the movie. The oddly "human" donkey.. not a lot of fairy tales that that is possible to be, really. And Disney/Pixar loves thinking exactly like this, with everything in those movies' being a nod or link to some character or story. Oh - the two that he got actually wrong were the Fly (( reference to the old 50s sci-fi movie ) and abracadabra. It's a very old mix of Aramaic and Arabic that first appeared in stories about magic (the famous 10001 tales) Roughly it translates into "As I said/say, so shall it be created/done" in a compressed acronym of the first syllables of the words. This is not hard to find online, either. And it makes perfect sense as well as to the original audience they would have figured out the meaning almost instantly and connected it to the genre/type of character. To Western ears it sounds odd, but 1000 years ago, perfectly normal, like how we see "WYSIWYG" and immediately say the words in out heads.

One time anakin and obiwan show up to visit padme with no warning, and before even announcing that they were there, jar jar appeared out of know where to open the door. When he fights the battle droid army, it looks clumsy, but it’s actually a real martial arts style used in ancient Japan to make your opponent think you are weak. Here is the kicker, that style was based off another Japanese fighting style that consists of over half of the Star Wars lightsaber forms. In clone wars, he tells mace windoo to embrace the darkside and then walks away into a sith temple with a hood up and his hands steepled. He also suggests love interest between padme and anakin, telling him she looks nice. Right before the ship is damaged in phantom menace, he is seen meddling with a section of the ship before r2d2 kicks him, when palpitine is rescued, jar jar is the first person he talks to over even the senators, and he is seen talking to him at Quigons funeral, even though they shouldn’t have met. It’s totally canon.
