    • True!!! I can't follow anymore. The only thing I see is highlight from Sinner.

  • A lot has been said about her serve, but her return of serve is equally devastating. She's the greatest returner of serve in the history of women's tennis. People are quick to say her power is the reason why she returns so well, but it's not just that. Serena is not the most powerful player to play tennis. I don't think she's even the most powerful in her family. It's a combination of power and immaculate timing. So many players have praised her returns. Nice compilation.

    • Agree. I think because her serve stood out so much, people overlooked how good her return is. I've never seen a player master the 2 most important shots of the game the way she did.

      @mrrogers302@mrrogers302Ай бұрын
    • @mrrogers302 I agree with you. That's why when she plays at her best, she's unbeatable. She has the 2 most important shots in tennis coupled with her incredible ground strokes, terrific court coverage and masterful use of angles only rivalled by prime Monica Seles.

    • Venus was much more powerful in the beginning of her career but Serenas power grew overtime in which she had the most powerful serves on the women’s tour in some tournaments. Her placement of her returns was what really stood out to me in her game. Yes, timing, but the literal angles where she would return and the ball would land were unearthly at times. SERENA ROCKS ⭐️

    • Serena said Lindsay Davenport was the most powerful player she faced. Davenport was extremely powerful when given time to set up her shots. Her return was as powerful as Serena's but she didn't get to as many balls.

    • When she does it on a consistent basis, year after year, I may be inclined to agree. Serena was doing this for 20 odd years, not something anyone will replace overnight.

    • @@crm1984 Serena is my favourite tennis player ever, male or female, but she did not do this consistently for 20 years. She had numerous breaks in her career where she wasn't dominating or playing her best tennis.

Steffi won 50 % of the tournaments she played in an era when ONLY Navratilova, Seles, Sanchez, Hingis, Davenport were #1. Serena is not even the greatest player of her home country.

      @carrerau7138@carrerau7138Ай бұрын
    • @@carrerau7138 That’s because she won the biggest titles when it mattered most and raised her level of play when it too mattered most. Graf era of her opponents wasn’t near as good as Serena’s. 23 grand slams is a feat that will never be duplicated again in our lifetime with what the wta has to offer currently. Graf’s serve was weak, backhand average, and most of her opponents were weak too. All she had was a great forehand which she used to run around her suspect backhand. Look at 1999 Indian wells final where as a 18 year old Serena dominated her with superior power and better serve and overall movement.

  • Serena is the perfect tennis player! She checks all the boxes with an A+ so I hate when they say she’s only power that’s false to the 10th power

    @MrCreative242@MrCreative242Ай бұрын
    • Those who say she's only about power are either haters or don't know much about tennis. Davenport and Madison Keys hit harder than her. Other players like Venus and Sharapova, Kvitova and others could match her power, but none of them achieved what she did. There's so much more to her game. I have decided to stop arguing with some of those people because they are delusional.

  • Another one I think about a lot is vs Henin at 07 USO QF. Henin was serving for first set up 5-4 and on break point Serena ripped a backhand winner down the line and screamed a loud “come on” and the crowd went nuts. Sucks she ended up losing that match, but that was a great down-the-line return on a huge point 😮
