thank you.
I miss Serena. At the present time I don't have a favorite female tennis player. Nowadays there aren't any consistent champions they come and go or stay for a few years.
This is right before her game changed. Her serve motion more fluid and her striking more effortless. It's also right before her iconic hair change. When Serena had her hair curly tied up are the golden years IMO
I know this may sound silly, but Serena has a losing record whenever she puts on a hat. Often when she's won the match with a hat, she struggled through 3 sets such as Miami 2008 Final against Jankovic and 2009 AO quarters against Kuznetzova (but they closed the roof and the hat was taken off). The only time I think she crushed someone with a hat on is against Henin at Miami 2008.
it's like an opposite bun
and she destroyed Hantuchova AO14 in a hat w/a back injury
@@andreacostanza6314lmaooo. Not the opposite bun
From Serena’s look here you wouldn’t think this is the same Serena who went on an absolute rampage after the French Open to lose only one other match (Cincinnati to Kerber)
yess, idk how to explain this but until grass season she looked like she was still in her late 00's era
@@andreacostanza6314 yeah I’d reckon so
@@andreacostanza6314 not true, here tennis in Charleston and Madrid 2012 was easily some of the best and that led to her going into the French "overconfident" in her own words. I believe there was also a string change at or after Miami 2012
She got injured before this tournament. She missed 2002,2004,2011 and 2018 Australia open through injuries or pregnancy. Other times her fitness wasn't the best. I struggle to wrap my head around why she struggled with fitness over the years around January and February.
Probably because she hasn’t really played since August/September
Hmmm, 6 australian open titles (played in January). doesn't seem like she struggled that much at the beginning of the year. duhhh
@jordanwilliams1740 The US open is played from late August to early September. She also used to play the year end championship until 2014.
@lasar1968 She won 7, not 6. She won them because she's extremely talented and can win tournaments when she's not 100 percent. She really struggled in 2010 because of injuries. She had some earlier exit because of injuries including 2012.
Something about those courts always made her roll her ankle or get a back injury or both
i wonder if women's tennis are gonna see a top server like Serena again....... i'm sure that Pat Cash wanne answer this question...😀😀
No we'll never see a server like Serena ever again. The best form & motion from a tennis player ever.
Serena is a mess in first half of 2012 considers how fit she was.
Hypothetically, Do you think Serena and Venus Williams in their physical/athletic primes could have success playing high school football? Why or why not?
stupid ass question..,,next!
Wtf
