  • Shane getting canceled was probably the best thing to happen to him. It put his name out there and people searched him up to see what was so horrible and found out this guy's a tremendous comedian.

    • Yeah that part about how he doesn't want anything to do with the cancel culture conversation made me respect him so much more. So many comedians fall into the trap of always talking about it cause they have personal grievances and political opinions about it, but that brand of comedy is so tedious and drawn out and a lot of it just comes off as whiny imo. Mad props to Shane for just being like "meh, it happens".

  • My favorite thing about shane, in this interview was, he was nervous. He’s from middle PA….and he wore “his good shirt.” This shows he has great character and respect. Even his look when the joke misses? He shakes his head smiles and gives an “eh?”….authentic guy I support everything he does

  • It’s truly beautiful how things work out. Shane is literally my favorite comedian at the moment because he’s just genuinely funny from standup to pretty much every podcast. I feel like SNL would have made him conform to that type of comedy and they would have taken away what really makes him funny for most people. His last special was insanely good and I don’t see him going anywhere but up. You can just tell he’s such a genuine dude too.

    • @@drfroglegs There’s a big difference between passively wanting to say g*y and ret*rd in your stand up bit and wanting to be interviewed by Tucker and Shapiro to trash liberals - Shane himself is somewhere in the middle politically and he just wants to tell jokes. Free speech has been politically weaponized to the point where moderates who believe in it shy away from it for fear of being lumped in with nutcases on the right.

    • It is weird when someone makes a joke using the famous person they’re talking to as the subject of that joke. I imagine that’s how musicians feel when fans go up to them and pretend they’re friends. It’s this weird combo of being a fanboy and putting someone you just met on a pedestal. Joe probably thinks of himself as “not that special” while this guy thinks he’s some comic messiah..... people famous for being cancelled usually don’t have anything else going for them.
