Next up in the fast food series is Taco Bell. This one could be the toughest one yet, they use ingredients I have never seen before and it's really tough to find anything healthy'ish on the menu! If you are wondering, my stomach survived and I did not have any issues, but I won't eve be going back.
Where to next?!

  • The thing I like about Bobby’s fast food reviews is... at least he acknowledges that the “food” tastes good and fires up the taste buds, which sometimes makes it hard to resist. Most people have to get to the point where the negative effects (tummy issues) overwhelm the cravings.

    • @@thinkingagain5966 I also don't think MSG is a concern, but if you dig around and do more homework, you can find studies that indicate whatever you want to believe. Regardless, it's hard to stay way from MSG as it occurs naturally in a lot of foods, like tomatoes. There is an argument regarding synthetic MSG being worse than natural MSG. But personally I think limiting your caloric intake and focusing on nutrients far outweighs the anti MSG dance.

  • Fun fact - Doritos were invented at Disneyland in the 1960s. There was a Mexican restaurant sponsored by Fritos. The chef would take day old tortillas and instead of throwing them away would fry them up and add spices. One day a Fritos executive went to the restaurant and liked it so much and the rest as they say is history.

Also the black beans seemed to me to be a little bit cleaner than the meat, but I want Bobby's opinion. Or just do a review of each of the ingredients! Taco Bell makes it so simple to customize your order, so you could in theory just build your own taco with the cleanest ingredients they have

  • I had to laugh that the Cinnabon thing had cage-free eggs after all the garbage ingredients. I don't eat fast food so I'm wondering if you have a list of all the horrible ingredients somewhere. You keep mentioning new ones in these fast food products and made me wonder if they're in regular food products. Thanks for keeping us healthy!

  • I’m going to age myself here...I worked at Taco Bell back in 1977. We made everything from scratch and it was so fresh and yummy. I’m sure the seasoning we used w/meat had MSG though.

  • I love that he is actually honest about how good the fast food is. Most of these healthy food advocates make it sound like if you like this food, you are low class and have no taste. He makes those of us who live off this shit feel like we’re not horrible people, but that we have options as well.

  • I love your series of fast food restaurants review. Didn’t know so much bad is behind all the tasty stuff. I don’t eat fast food that much anyway that much, but it is good to know. Are you going to review In n Out as that is my favorite fast food place. Would like to know about that.

  • Hispanics tend to use MSG in EVERYTHING so it would be great to get informed more about this and the risks/side effects to consuming it. What I think would also be great is to do a review of one of these fast food restaurants in Spanish if one day you were to feel comfortable doing so.
