Go behind the scenes as Harvey Barnes meets up with his new team-mates for the first time since completing his move from Leicester City.
Barnes flew into Philadelphia to join up with the squad on our US tour before coming off the bench for the final 20 minutes in our game against Aston Villa at Lincoln Financial Field.

The way tripper carries himself whenever he's in one of these videos greetingnew signings always impresses me massively. He's an absolute mangers dream player to have attitude wise. Surely he'll go on to do something further in football in the future after he retires? I reckon he could be a brilliant manager.

I was at the game in Philly, so happy I got to see the team! The club is a night and day difference since the new owners came in! Class all the way around! Love the engagement the players are having with the fans!
One thing not commented upon here is that the first players Harvey meets are 4/5 of the Squad's current formal leadership team: Trips, Callum, Matt Ritchie, and BDB. Can't underestimate the importance of this shared group leadership in culture formation, retention, and communication

Lascelles and Howe were on press detail. Brilliant to have such an experienced strong leadership group. Team full of leaders, you'd say players like joelinton, Schar, Murphy, Pope also have a big influence on the dressing room aswell
Awesome seeing how many people wanted to take a picture with Tonali Hoping that helps him feel more welcome/at “home” with the club, and that it nudges him further along the road of truly settling down and feeling like he belongs with us
I think it's most likely to happen when he walks out onto SJP with the fans roaring. He will be shocked at how incredible it is.
The American woman after the pic with her daughter going "Thankyou Miggy!" made me smile- you forget how well followed our club actually is.
This is great to see. The entire team mingling with the fans in the street is unheard of for any professional sports team. Well done NUFC and long may it continue

I love this behind the scenes of Harvey’s first day
The more that I watch these behind the scenes videos the more I am struck by the levels of professionalism now at the club - there are specialist coaches, dieticians, psycologists, analysts, financials, statisticians and probably some roles I have never heard of, ALL staffed by top, top people, both men and women. At last the club is being run as a top premier league organisation rather than a " let's see how my friend does - he's the cheapest option " from before.

Howay the lads magpie fan here this is a very good signing we couldn’t get the # 10 from Leicester city maddison but I believe Harvey barnes going to be a really great player for newcastle,now we only need kvaratskelia from napoli and another striker santi gimenez the mexican international from feyenoord would be great or victor osihmen the nigerian international from napoli are excellent signings for the black and white!⚫️⚪️
I'm Liverpool supporter and the main thing I'm a Football Fan. For me this is quality signing for Newcastle. Harvey Barnes is a straight forward winger , he very good at the final 3rd which crucial for Newcastle as last season most of the goal come form center and right side.

Now we need to improve our defence, then we will be ready for this season. One LB and one or even two CB (+sell some dead players, but not Lascelles, he was pretty solid against villa and we all hope in an improvment)

dead players* not defenders, like Dummet, he is useless, other clubs will find him usefull, but for the level we are going to play now we cant keep him.. I mean, we can, but yk ffp, we need also to sell, not just to buy
yes, but that's a reminder: last year we struggled at the end cause we do not have defensive depth. That's why we need good defenders, to ass depth so Botman, Burn and Schar can have pauses (+I think Manquillo can be our secon RB)

Take anything we can get for Jamal Lewis would be the first thing to do. Dummett can play in a back 3 so could be useful if fit.
