Thanks for the review! Yeah I gotta say the lower back works better for me too. When first designing the mouse I thought "Well, I rest a little bit of my palm on the mouse, so why not try a higher back?" and it did work really well for me, but as I just said, I'm only resting A LITTLE BIT of my palm, as in, just the right side under my little finger ... which means I don't need all that height in the middle. This new back still has the height where I need it (on the side) but gives me extra movement when doing micro adjustments. Mouse design is complicated. 😅 A lot of the choices on the shell were educated guess-work, so really, really happy that they've worked for so many people. Also great visuals as always, amazing camera work!
I think it's a great addition to an already good package! Would be great to see something sub 55g, no RGB and no holes in the future. Not sure how likely that is but that would be an amazing mouse 😎. Thanks for stopping by!
is the mz1 still a mouse you palm grip with though? I'm a palm claw hybrid and think of getting the mz1

Wow, I'm really lucky this review exists! I have 19x11 hands aswell, fingertip grip and I had the same issue with the backhump limiting my range of motion , cramping my hand and making me grip the mouse way further back than it was intended to , making the clicks way heavier because I was clicking them close to the middle of the mouse. Hopefully this can be my endgame with the flat back shell :)
Hopefully! I don't know if you could tell by the sound test but the clicks feel REALLY even all the way from the front to back on my copies. They feel super good. please let me know how it works out for you, im really curious! Thanks for watching.

Bro nice job. Been using the MZ1 wireless for a couple weeks myself. I have both wired and wireless. The wired was my main and the wireless took that spot. I love everytime I see a good review on the MZ1 it just gives me butterflies everytime. I think the only thing they could do with the MZ1 or any of the @xtrfy mice moving forward would be hot swap capability for different switches. I love the GM 8.0 switches but I know some that would love a different switch. Great bullet points and very good B Roll. I strive to have review vids as good as yours. Cool video, my wired one hurts my fingers and hands from long hours of gaming because of its back hump. My right click was faulty as well, but I already contacted the support team. It's about to get replaced.
I have the Fnatic Bolt and i am thinking about trying the MZ1. Can you tell me if the scroll wheel click feels stiffer or lighter on the MZ1 on your copies? I find the bolt's wheel click a little stiff at times, causing an accidental scroll input. Great reviews boss

If the creaking issue is the same as the original MZ1 the way to fix it would be to remove the ptfe mouse feet and tighten the screws underneath them
Did they also include the original top shell of the base shell if you customized the mouse?

so, you mention liking the side button implementation more with the wireless version; but you don't really mention in what way it is different. Is it just stiffer, crisper clicks?

This has been one of my mains for apex, tracking is very good. I have the wired one and I’m still considering getting the wireless just to get rid of the cables… but don’t know yet. Nice video and review bro, you b-rolls, sound, volumen, etc are always on point! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I was looking for shell ideas to order from XTRFY as I did switch to the wireless one and my aim has been close to perfect, this mouse is great! And I think I’m ordering a white shell to combine with the black mouse lol thanks again Chad!
What do you guys think of the quake gameplay? Do you like watching it or nah?
Quake and Apex are the only FPS i play atm, adding a handcam with the gameplay would be the cherry on top i think.
Always need Quake gameplay in mouse videos. I might be biased, but I might be right too. 😅
Definitively YESSS, those were very nice highlights because q3 has a lot of speed and vertical so you get to evaluate full range of motion as much as pin point accuracy when needed.
how are you liking the GP5? I picked one of those up as well as the mz1 for pre order
I don't have a ton of play time on it yet but so far I like it. Feels pretty good with the stock mz1 feet.

What after market skates would you recommend since I can’t find any of the normal brand I use for my mice? I’m picking up this for the first time I wanted to with the wired but it was… well wired aha been to spoiled by wireless so stoked to try but I wanna know what skates to get eventually
do you think it would be doable to weight reduce this to around 50g? chopping things like some leds off the pcb, removing that xtrfy logo and weight adjust system, swapping to a smaller battery, maybe clipping off some bits of the top shell and base? maybe even removing the dpi and side buttons. 62g is a good weight don't get me wrong, but for such a small fingertip mouse weight becomes more important.
If you did all of those mods you could easily get to 50g. Highly reccomend Bearded Bob if you havent checked him out yet.

This would be an endgame mouse for me if it wasn’t for the size… Judging from your cool review (and other reviews) it’s damn good. The shape is very good but the size of this mouse is quite small and might not be for everyone; I have the same handsize as Zy / RocketJumpNinja BUT I use 1-3-1 fingertip grip [3 fingers on top of the mouse] which makes all the difference. I have been using all my mice this way since the mid 90s and I cant get used to 1-2-2 grip which makes my hand very uncorfortable. That’s why this mouse might be too narrow for me and the reason why I prefer waiting a bit for LARGE version of MZ1.
And guys with 20cm + large hands you are out of luck with tiny, narrow MZ1 - Thats why large MZ1 needs to be released.

you might like the g303 se or g305/g pro wired
@@9core I do own G203 which has the same shape as Gpro wired. It has a good shape if i overlook the convex sides are kinda botched. To fix this i have applied some gunGripTape on the sides and on lmb and rmb. i have tried g303 SE as well and i gotta say G303 shape just feels absolutely horroble in my hand and is just not for me. In general i like straight (right) side.
so my hand size is 15.24 length and 8.75 width. really small hands and I like to palm grip. but I really like this shape alot and I am thinking about pulling the trigger. 5:31 kind of made me wanna seal the deal but then you said it had issues for being palm. do you think if my hand size I can palm or should I look else where?
The hump is too shallow for a palm grip, even with smaller hands. I would look elsewhere. Sorry man, I know that's not what you wanted to hear but it's just not a palm grip mouse.

Real question this or my finalmouse small? I've been debating on getting rid of my finalmouse.
That's a hard one for me to answer. I cant aim very well on the finalmouse shape, so for me this is better. If you use a pure fingertip grip with similar sized hands to Zy, this. If you claw grip then the FM.
Just experiment, if you take gaming seriously every experience is a good one. Obviously don’t just buy every mouse (unless you want) but Keep trying until you find something for you while learning along the way and making educated guesses on what you feel like you would do good with next. Of course unless you just want a safe shape that works with everything fairly well. In that case the super light or viper ultimate v2 pro are good.
@@WorldKeepsSpinnin GPX is not my bag and the viper also is not my bag. I don't take gaming serious at all I play them to have fun but I prefer smaller mice because fingertip supreme grip.
@@shinobee771 My point was, only you can find out for yourself what mouse is good for you. I was just saying the best way to do that. IF you know you prefer smaller mice then maybe this mouse is the way to go as its smaller then any final mouse. Ive heard people having bad experiences with fingertip grip but theres all kinds of different fingertip grips out there so hard to say for sure. If you look at the mouse and think "this will probably be good" then i'd trust that

Got the wired one, but I would love if it would be 1cm shorter as I have pretty small hands for a man. Yep Trump hands here. ;P And would love to be able to use the middle button as a dpi switcher.

hsk plus would be more comparable by price and the fact it's wireless. m2k is more niche. but this is not designed for regular fingertip, but for the way rjn holds his mouse (full contact with the entirety of his fingers on the top, not just fingertips).
