I was a little nervous to post this.... During the reaction you can see that I was a bit taken a back by how much this video and lyrics resembled some of the most popular female rappers in the states and how "flirty" it was. I have to say the song is growing on me now but during the reaction I wasn't sure what direction YG were going with this.
I don't want to offend anyone but at the same time I want to only show you guys genuine reactions and if I absolutely love and freak out over every aspect of every song, that's just not genuine :) I hope you see where I'm coming from.
Don't worry, everyone expecting lisa to go hard on her dance/choreo that most of you forgot that she is an entertainer that need to sing and dance.. Lisa already said it that the 2 songs choreo is made simple for people to catch it easily which is good for me if you want target GP.
Exactly, most of them wanted her to dance more like a badass one, which we all know, she could, but they forgot that this time she has to sing it too since it’s her song and not like a dance cover from her lili’s film channel.
Coz many lisa fans often say she's holding back a lot in dancing for the sake of his members but the difficulty in her solo choreo didn't changed that much. She don't have to go hard on the whole song, she can go hard even for a short portion like in her lili films. The style of choreo too, its more focused on attitude, more of interpretative of the lyrics rather than a sophisticated hiphop choreo (like chungha's or boa's choreo). Also other idols did bad ass routines too like everglow First and many kpop boy groups, Lisa can certainly pull it off too. Her strength is dancing so YG producers should have catered a song that will not hold her back from it.

I think many people, possibly even you, tend to forget that Lisa can go as hard as she wants to in her Lilifilm dances, because that's all she has to do. This is her actual (spelling) song and it's official choreo. She has to sing and rap while she performs this which limits just how hard she can go. I loved it. It's the hardest choreo that the girls have ever attempted for a song that they have to perform to. 🔥
This, and the possibility of it being part of a concert. There's pacing involved to make it through a whole concert.
BEAUTIFUL SAID👏🏼👏🏼 I’ve been saying the same thing, to the other people. Who have said things like “ basing of off her Lilifilms, I kindda expected more”. I’m not mad at them or anything. I completely understand them. Not everyone truly understands the inner workings of that world. Sometimes fans forget, that idols have human bodies😅. I think our beautiful Lily is always surprising everyone. She has shown what she’s capable off plenty already. Lisa has achieved crazy high mile stones. All thanks to her strength, determination, work ethics, tenacity, & drive to succeed. According to the other 4 members & staff, Lisa seems to be the “ENERGIZER BUNNY” of the group. No matter how tired she is, she put in 1000% of herself, in everything she does. People didn’t expect her to go so hard on her Solo dance performances, & lily films. But she shut everyone up, & had all of us falling for her her every time😆. Hopefully YG, gives her more space to move around, on her next solo. I believe that Lisa has the talent to fly solo. Her LILIFILM are proof of that.
Obviously, this person prefers a specific style of dance and this isn't it. Her bias is quite apparent from the beginning.

I believe Lisa wanted to have choreography in both her songs, that fans also could learn. We all know she can dance. She just wants everyone to dance :)

As good a dancer as she is. She is first and foremost an idol. And she will always prioritise the performance aspect. She will only turn into dancer Lisa when she’s not required to perform as an idol, that is, sing/rap/dance/perform together. Prioritising dancing when it’s your debut as a solo artist is a nonsense dream and expectation of the ignorant few. She is not a dancer first and foremost regardless of how good her ability is. She is an IDOL
Finally someone gets it. It's not a dance debut, it's not a rap debut, it's not a singing debut. What it is is a performance debut showing her skills in a multitude of areas. I was watching one major Lisa/Blackpink reactor and before the vid was 1/3 of the way through he complained that the choreo wasn't strong enough. Her performance here is magnificent and well balanced. The other point that has to be made is that these performances are often designed to be part of a live stage concert. Watch their Coachella performance. They chain dances right after another. I assume Money will be part of their next tour and as such it needs to be performed without her busting a gut only to have to wait 5min to recover.
I agreed with this why people complaining she is an idol she didn't audition to be just a dancer it just lisa is good at everything this why she have her lilifilm's where she shows her dance by herself only🙂

Yes you are right so if you guys want to see her dances just watch the lilifilms, first of all she will perform this dances while singing so it needs to be balanced singing and dancing, second this dances should be easy and iconic so the fans can copy it, third is it is a debut of an idol not a dancer, or singer, or rapper it is to showcase the idol as a whole kit showing her abilities.
This definitely feels like an American video, doesn’t it? If Lisa selected this song like Teddy claims, then she was a genius, because based on the reactions of real hip hop enthusiast reactors, this is the most likely candidate for a breakthrough with American audiences. And the Behind the scenes video shows her using flash paper for the practical flame effect…it was not CGI.

Many were surprised that the dance for Money wasnt that strong as what fans expected.. Tho it was for me.. lol but I read somewhere and heard from some choreographers that producers are careful on choreographing performances because they dont want their artist to have so much hard time on it. And want fans to easily do the dances too.. To make it a trend they make catchy songs and dances.. Lisa obviously can do more but it isnt neccessary. Shes not here to show off so much of her skills because we already know what shes capable of.. They dont think about the how much artist can do, but what they can give to their fans..The director needs to consider it since she have 2 songs with dance as well. Just by the attitude she give on her performances makes it already great. When she performs it shes literally make u feel her song.. shes so natural.. Besides this is her first solo and is actually already huge. Were probably getting more in time. I hope. Looking forward to that DJ Snake and Ozuna collab they were talking about.. and ofcourse ot4 comeback.
I think you were expecting something more like her LiLi film productions but you have to understand that those are purely dance videos while this is a performance where she has to rap/sing as well so it can't be completely dance focused.
There's more swag than intense dance in this doing coz this is more of a swag song. Lisa can do intense dances whenever she wants, we all know that. Doesn't mean every song needs to have intense dance. The Blackpink song Stay is one good example.
the choreography fits especially MONEY, so she can't give the way other reactors wants her to dance..but it's not a dance contest it's Lisa solo debut.
I think at the end of the day we all have to agree that Lisa is a performer, a complete one, an idol not merely a dancer. In her solo she needs to sing, dance, rap all in once so it will be exhausting if she do a hard dance, beside she want her fans to be able to dance this too. We can still see her full dancer side in LiliFilm thou'. Don't be disappointed, people and let's keep supporting Lisa :)
She is obviously lip-synching for this. But, if doing a live performance where she has to sing, could she do a more demanding dance and sing at the same time? I think the choreo is designed for the lives too.

As long as the money theme might be a cliche among female rappers, I think Lisa did it bc of the drama with her manager, he stole millions of wons from her and lost everything gambling, she trusted him and was a big thing for her, so now she can flaunt all her wealth bc she’s even richer

the girls have commented once that their vocals come before dancing, so unlike other groups they refrain from going all out during the choreographies so they can focus on the singing, that’s probably one of the reasons why Lisa didn't went beast mode like she does with the Lili film’s and the dancing sets she does during their shows.

It's a payday anthem. It's a performance video as an idol and she has to make it more relatable for public consumption. On top of that, she has to sing this LIVE so she has to save up energy so the song doesnt suffer. She can showcase all of her dance skills in Lilifilm without the boundaries of huffin and puffin on a microphone.
She's such a living barbie. Someone still thinks that she's too skinny but I don't think so. She's built this way and now she's even a bit thicker. She looks so good 🥰❤
You should sing and rap while performing before you judge the choreo. Everyone knows Lisa can dance so it surprises me when there are still people who still think the choreo should go harder but then expect the live performance vocals and rap to be perfect. 🙄.

I believe the purpose of this song is to captivate the fans. Although I expected Lisa to have a more intense dance break, but swagger is more important in any hip hop- pop industry.
I think you have to remember than Lisa will also be singing/rapping while dancing when she performs this, so I think the dance steps are just enough for her to be able to sing/rap aside from the fact that they want the choreography to be doable for their fans.
To me, these videos are done by YGE and they always tend to focus on the visuals and singing/rapping, with easier choreo, which helps in live performances. Where as Lili Films is strictly Lisa's love for dancing and I've seen somewhere that Lisa pays out of her own pockets to do the LiliFilm dance videos.
Just imagine, how to rap while dancing Swalla. You get that? So I think Lisa have to balance between rapping and dancing. I’m not surprised why the choreo look different from Lilifilm.

at first i was like "ohh i need more" but realizing after that lisa can make a dance so easy and confirmed it after watching covers because they are having a hard time controling movements--- but eyy! they did slay!
On Kpop, choreographers focus on "simple" choreos cause one of the big things around it: the songs need to be stuck in people's heads and easy enough to sing along, and the dances need to be cool but easy enough for people to copy. That's their focus marketing tricks.
In our country dududu BECAME famous because of the dance, The chorus dance is easy and very catchy.
@@galaxiiy exactly! And that's been the way Kpop has been since.. always. Catchy song, catchy dance. Super Junior is one of the best examples of this, some of their songs might've not been hits if it wasn't for the weiird, goofy dances ^•^
Loved your reaction! I think because this was a "performance video" the way this was shot cut out a lot of the lower body dance elements so hopefully in the dance practice video we will get a fuller picture for the 'Money' choreography.
Since she doesn’t lip sync, if the choreo was more aggressive,she might have difficulty during live concerts/ performance

I love the lyrics. You can interpret the meaning in many layers. One thing is to flaunt to those who always dislike and look down on her that she's now so rich and successful so she can have anything she wants. And also means if you put all your effort to the fullest someday you will be rich and have all the things that money can buy. There's one sentence: "Watch how my Wons and Yens and Dollars be dropping on you, you, you," It means her money comes from all over the world haha. Love her swag and attitude. The billboard at the background written "Money is a terrible master but an excellent servant."

Of course this is not dance focus because this is the B side of her solo album. This is not a dance cover this is her song. We have to consider that she's singing and rapping also. She's an idol what she did in this video she will also do in live performance.
Lisa is my favorite! I can see with the emphasis on her finger movements, to me, it feels very Thai dance. I used to do Thai dance as a kid and the hand movements were the focal point.
She has Lili films for her dancing to shine….This is her time to shine musically in singing and rapping. Also for the Lili films she pays Cheshire (sp?) as her choreographer but For her solo music debut YG uses the YG choreographer… and as others have noted she wanted these dances for her solo songs to be able to be copied and fun for Blinks or anyone to dance too… she was thinking of us Blinks when she was making her solo songs, we all should be appreciative that she thought of us even though we all know she can do so much more.

I love Blackpink and I adore Lisa and her performances. But I think it is perfectly fine for many of us to be disappointed that the choreography did not go as hard, especially during the drop. And I'm seeing a lot of "she has to rap and sing so thats why" but we have seen her do both at the same time with more complex performances? It is OKAY to love something/someone and have criticism for what the choreographer could have done better. Also, we've seen her twerk on stage so that fact that there's no twerking during the lyric about it is kind of funny.
We are just spoiled to ask more from Lisa.

She couldn't focus on dancing strong choreography because in concerts she'll going to sing and rap live, so in order to do that she must have not consume too much energy on her dance. Lisa already explains that she has to keep her stamina singing rapping and dancing. So the song will become an amazing song. But yeah, most of the fans and dancers were thinking the dance is too easy for Lisa. Just to remind all of you, she is good to pretend that she is not exhausted ^^. Only dancing is Lisa's specialty. Meanwhile, singing, rapping, and dancing at the same time are hard, even for the boy groups. Maybe there are solo debuts that have a more powerful dance break, but their target is simply for the fans in Korea and showing their talent, not for a wider range. While Lisa and Blackpink's target is mostly making music that you want to repeat, can be enjoyed by everyone not only for fans and dancers, importantly no skip song. Also, she needs to extend for international fans and locals cause Lisa won't do promotions in Korea. That is why she didn't too focus much on dancing.

The interesting thing about idols singing about money is that they've probably barely been paid for the majority of their time being an idol so money is likely a huge thing for them to celebrate when they finally get a decent paycheck from performing.

the fire is obviously a piece of magicians flash paper she lit, later confirmed by behind scenes on Lilifilm channel video LILI'S WORLD #5 where you see her filming multiple takes to get it just right for filming. It's probably meant to say 'Lisa so rich she has money to burn' (not Beyoncé / Jay-Z money but definitely a multimillionaire. I've seen claims estimating her at over 10M or over 14M but that's all just speculation. BLACKPINK was listed on Mnet TMI show as #4 in revenue generating for 1st 6 months of year just from livesteeam concert, theatrical release of movie and merch without any new songs from the group. The top 3 slots were all guys running big Kpop labels HYBE, SM, JYP). I'll admit I was initially disappointed that we weren't getting Lilifilm level choreo for either solo song (Cheshir Ha not involvec), but it fits the song and BLACKPINK songs have a long history of having choreography that's swag based more than overly complex (other YG Ent artists also). The woman in pigtails and brown clothes at front where you paused at 2m18s is the choreographer Lee Jung who is appearing on Street Woman Fighter a tv reality dance competition show in Korea. I initially also wasn't a big fan of the song because it is like a standard American hiphop song but with better beats because R.Tee produced it. I was thinking this might be a rare rime a BLACKPINK song doesn't make my top 25 of the year (they usually take the top slots except Ice Cream and Vet U Wanna, not a fan of Tommy Brown songs with BLACKPINK). I've warmed up to the song and the dance video helped a lot. This is Lisa's favorite of the two and she seems really happy with how it turned out, she's wanted to do a straight rap / hiphop song for a while This b-side song was #1 in digital rap song sales on Billboard its debut week (LALISA didn't fit that category but obviously had higher sales).

This song and Lalisa its all about lisa.. the song really suite her and her personality. She wants to show the real her. She love dancing so she show it to this album. In Lili film she show how she really work hard for this album by her self and how she wants to gave her very best to her fans to like it. Even her promotion is very short and she deserve this Solo album cause shes very talented.

Very very proud of Lisa and her solo debut❣️❣️ I think a lot of people’s kind of “disappointment” when it comes to the dance comes from the fact that they are forgetting she has to sing and perform at the same time, unlike her lilifilms, or that they were kind of expecting her to drop a song where it’s only music for like 30 seconds or something to give her a chance to dance her butt off and not worry about having to sing at the same time. :) but I’m sure some killer dances will be coming soon either in future solo songs or the next lilifilm dance.
