First and foremost, Lisa isn't my bias in kpop. With that being said... I, honestly, have never seen anyone that was born to be in the spotlight as much as Lisa. Her whole aura is just ooze charisma. She's bubbly, she's almost always smiling, she's nice to everyone around her, and then she gets on stage and beast out. Every dance move is done with intention and match with facial expressions. There's a selfish and pessimistic side of me that is expecting something to be revealed. Like... I dunno... she has webbed feet or something lol. Because then at least I can breath a sigh of a relief and know that there's balance in the world. But up until now... she truly lives up to the meaning of her name; "the one that is praised"

As always, brilliant reaction guys! Lisa is probably what you might consider to be an anomaly in K-pop! First of all, she's not Korean, she's from Thailand, which is where YG discovered her because she made a lasting impression when she auditioned for them! So first she had to learn their language, I think she was just 14yrs old when she got signed by YG Entertainment and moved to Korea. Her performance in general, dancing, facial expression, attitude singing and rapping abilities, makes her a born entertainer! Funny thing is, if you were to run into her outside of BLACKPINK or performing, Lisa is an absolute dork🤓. You wouldn't think for a minute she is that talented! 😂 You should check out her Documentary on how and what she went through to be where she is today, it's quite fascinating!

Yeah Lisa is everything. Like she’s just insane. Her live performances. Her dance, rap, singing. Her hilarious, cute, lively personality. She hold most of the main records for kpop soloists despite not even being Korean. Most popular female idol literally ever. Most followed idol ever. She is the queen of Thailand. So much so that you cannot go anywhere in that country without seeing her face. On billboards, airports, products, stores, schools are literally named after her. No one’s got that kind presence in one country rn. And she worked so hard for it, and is humble. Everything she has rn is earned and deserved.

Well, if you want to see this in person they're currently on the North American leg of their world tour for the next few weeks. Currently in Atlanta, heading to Hamilton CA, then to Newark, then LA. BTW, the Coachella team recently attended one of their tour performances and if you look at their schedule they've left April open. Obvious speculation is that they're going back as headliners.

Oh I never noticed this! Thanks for pointing it out. In Korean it's pronounced like "dohn" (strong emphasis on the O. The word rhymes with "own"). I never caught the similarity of what Lisa is saying because the two words sound very different to my Korean ears lol.
@@serom4363 Yep. It's close to the Korean 돈 (dohn) pronunciation, but doesn't have the long vowel sound. Actually, I think it sounds closer to the Thai slang for money, which is the word used in the famous "mai mi dang ka" ("I don't have money") expression that Lisa taught to Jisoo when they were in Bangkok. The word "dang" (ตังค์ ) in that expression means money (sometimes romanized as "tang"). It could be that she's just using dun-dun as non-word vocables (like shoo-bee-doo-wap or lalalala or nanana in other songs). Or maybe they actually wanted to use a sound that is close to both the Korean and Thai expressions that mean money. Either way it's a fun song. (My favorite parts are the "everyone silent" part, the finger bite part and the big ending. )

They work these things over and over in dozens of different ways until they get it down to what they love the best. Then they work really hard to memorize that. What's fun about these girls is how much fun they are just walking around. If you ever get to see their behind the tours show or Blackpink House,.. their reality type shows. You really get to see them out and about with no real script just having fun together. They are a vibe and endlessly entertaining.

However, probably the biggest accomplishment was going Platinum by the RIAA, which is huge!! Not bad for an artist from Thailand & a member of the biggest female K-Pop group in the world.
