Lol I've watched the mv so many times but didn't even realise it until now
Fan fact: It was an actual explosion. You can see it in the MV Behind The Scenes video that the whole set (And all other sets. I think that BLACKPINK used green screen only in Whistle MV which is their debut song) was build (Like in 99% of YG MVs) and that was a real explosion! It was even shown how the girls had to clean themselves from the dust and they said they even had some in their eyes after filming this scene!

Rosé is the Main Vocalist and the Lead Dancer (Lisa being the Main Dancer). She dances smoothly and it's good to watch it. 😉
Fun fact:Jisoo and Rosé mostly switches parts and also yes you are right Rosé do the feminine parts of the song.Meanwhile Lisa do the small rap parts,Jennie do the sassy parts,and Jisoo do the powerful voices parts before the chorus
Jisoo and Rosé are killing their weaker selves. Jennie has that black and white theme in reference to the contrast between a healthy and a toxic relationship (my opinion).. Lisa's scene at begining is a reference to the "express love" looks great, but it's really empty, feels like heaven.

Just to clarify the meaning of the song, which can be looked at as a "relationship-ending" song, but whose message is really about being introspective and changing yourself for the better. If you watch the four girls and read what they're talking about, they are each describing the reason why they get into toxic relationships. They realize that they must "KILL" this sort of behavior in order to have a healthier relationship. *Jennie* , on the black and white swans, discusses yin/yang, she feels that in order to have happiness there must always be sadness, and she knows that she is destined to repeat her mistake. *Lisa* , the "cereal killer" (sorry, couldn't resist) believes in quantity over quality. She wants it all, even though love to her is a short, sweet sugar high that leaves her feeling empty and needing more. *Jisoo* , in the church, realizes that she is weak, her stronger future self destroys her with a flaming arrow. *Rosé* , driving the car, also causes her own destruction, running herself down in the road, the license plate on her car reads "EGO".

Funfact Lisa has a knee injury in this era but no one notice it since she spoke about in YWY S3 where she's a dance mentor. What's make it more shocking is in Kill This Love, Lisa has a kicking choreography but still she manage to do every promotion professionally and effortlessly looking good as if no injuries she's enduring.
Plus they were in the middle of a WORLD TOUR CONCERT!! Where she had the solo dance plus all the setlist… she is crazy, none would even know if she didn’t talk about it in ywy this year like the shoulder injury during hylt, we didn’t know before jennie said that she saw lisa taking some pain killer

The bear trap is a symbolism. Their song concept is like "dont get fool yourself and fokus on ending the relationship". Thats why Rosé tried to kill the Rosé on the street. I think she ran to the love and the Rosé in the car (with the palet sign saying "ego" dont want it Jisoo, too, kill the kindness, innocent Jisoo, cause she had enough. Yh a blackpink refernce here. Black = Jisoo with Archor, Pink = Jisoo in white dress. Bear trap - a deadly painful trap but also shaped as a heart if u look frontal. Again a black and a pink here Christianity? Well many Koreans are Christian, so they understand the meaning/refernce too And Lisa destroys cereal boxes which are branded as Love love love

Rosé's first scene with the car represents her destroying herself, she's driving the car and running away from it. It shows that her own love is killing her.
It´s all love-based, of course. But he standing out details are: Rosé driving herself (or her Love) to death (Cause the car she´s driving says EGO on the license plate). Jisoo´s Dark Character is emphasized as Ateme with her flammable Arrow hitting herself for betraying herself. The great Beartrap for the Love is trapping them inside their feelings.

They break down the Greek mythological symbolism. For example the broken head behind BP in the chorus, is Aphrodite, Greek Goddess of Love. I love watching you react to these videos! I’m not a dancer and so it’s really awesome to be able to see a dancer’s perspective on their choreography. A group that I think you’d like is aespa. Their music and dance moves are amazing honestly. They have separate dance moves for different choruses and their choreography is iconic. “Black Mamba” is a good one to start with, but “Next Level” and “Savage” are good as well. Again love your videos!🙌🏻❤️

Yes, the set is amazing. It’s considered their best music video to date. About the church, I don’t really know why they used a lot of church scenes but maybe it’s something to do with Jennie’s line ‘Feeling like a sinner it’s on fire with him I go boohoo’ like the sinner part? Idk.

"Kill This Love" is a dancing song with a sad story, a deep meaning; is about abusive relashionship. They're representing 'love' as a big trap, like... Rosé and Jisoo are killing themselves (in the past). So yeah, "let's kill this love" 😅 Actually, almost all Blackpink MVs are sad and deep if you understand the messages, except: "Boombayah", "Whistle", "DDDD" and "Ice Cream". Even MVs like "How You Like That" or "Kill This Love" can hide a sad story and have a deep meaning. It includes their solo MVs, except by "Lalisa".
