Blackpink was not a heavy choreography group... Cuz for their songs they need to consider the most vital part of Blackpink.... They always Sing and Perform with a Live vocals... There are parts with the backtrack but Blackpink never Lipsync... Almost all YG artist are not really particular with dance moves (except forTreasure their new boy group who might be the one with heavy choreos) and this makes YG different from other company's... They prefer live vocal, swag and intense stage presence than heavy dancing.
Yeah blackpink has the easiest choeros so instead I wish they Can Do some falssetos and high notes .
@@mounayezzaoui556 They do not have the easiest choreo imo. Ones like Don't Know What to Do, Whistle, or Forever Young require fullbody movements. I think ppl tend to compare fast movements from other ggs to mean the choreo. is harder, but I disagree. But overall, girl groups have easier choreos. than boy groups. Edit: I forgot to mention they are also continuously moving most of the time.

I mean if u have a simple choreo like that in purpose to save the vocals at least u should have some high notes and falssetos and I agree with u their oldest choreos were good compared to these New ones .I wish they have a New choreographer and New producer and New songwriter or maybe a whole New company .
No hate but in the Beginning Blackpink was very choreo focused. They never really showed any vocals. In 2019 they slowly but surely changed for good

The sad reality about kpop today is that people are much focused on how hard the choreography is "The harder it is the better the group is"...This kpop idols trained not to be dancers but singers and rappers ...Blackpink is only one of the few kpop idols nowadays that have easy choreo but has good quality singing live...Some of the groups are relying on lipsync which do not emphasize their talent as singers which they work hard for years to polish.
Not really most of the group had still stable vocals rapping.... cause ofcourse they will get criticrized. I dont know what you talking about lmao
Idk what people are talking about, but A LOT of kpop stansdo complain that blackpink has weak choreo/easy choreo. And tbh, they do have easy choreo but VERY hard to execute. Let's say boombayah. You know all the dance movements, but can you pull it off? YG choreos involve style and charisma, which is why its hard for trainees to be compete in YG because of how raw your talent has to be and how you have to focus on yourself while maintaining to be in a team. SM dancers and YG dancers are obviously different. Anyways the point is, blackpink does not have to have hard choreography, and it doesn't make them any less of a better group. Blackpink are one of the few groups who don't rely on lip singing and actually sound stable and can hit notes, and there are a lot of groups who have heavy choreo and either relied on the back track or plain out miss notes and timing.
@@dchimean i mean every opinion is subjective. Personally I feel like blackpink choreo for LSG was an improvement and the synchronization of it is really nice. The illusions is interesting and the playfulness+contemporary is new. For me, one of the best blackpink dances along with DKWTD and Whistle. As always, every opinion is different ☺
Personally, I don't mind having not that complicated or heavy choreography as long as they keep serving good vocals and vice versa.
@@dchimean Don't compare Blackpink to Twice lmao. Twice's choreographer is hard, but yeah, lipsync. Even when they don't dance, they still lack a lot when it comes to vocal.
Singers need to breathe when they sing live. Unlike many other groups, BLACKPINK always sing live and don't lipsync. Their music label do not believe in lipsynching. The choreography has to be easy enough for them to sound good vocally when they perform the songs live, even though they are all great dancers and are capableof performing harder choreographies. You will notice this about all YGE groups. Even YGE's boy groups don't have super intense choreography.
*nowadays they do. But until 2019 they never really ahowed any vocals lol

If you talk about their perfomances in music show it's bc the korean show makes the backtrack too loud so we can hear their voices properly but when it's YG who is filming (for GMA and Jimmy fallon) you can hear their voices very clearly and their mics are louder than the backtrack.

Every group nowadays have super loud backing tracks compared to second gen kpop but it’s not a bad thing because the choreography is way harder but YG just like every other company has super loud backing tracks, at the top of my head I think the only group that I know that sings 100% live is Mamamoo but plz correct me if I’m wrong
BP actually is one of those groups that try to stay away from girly moves. It just so happens that this song is one of the exceptions

For me blackpink focused more on singing than dancing. They dont do hardcore choreo coz its really hard to sing live while dancing, actually blackpink can wow the crowd whatever they do at the stage.

All of them are dancers cause they all trained for it but in Kpop there are positions. Lisa is the best at dancing which will be said to be the main dancer. After main, the second best is called lead. Rosé (pink hair) is the lead dancer but that doesn’t mean that the others are not good at dancing. This also applies to vocals and rap. Rosé is the main vocalist and lead dancer. Jisoo is the lead vocalist and visual (just means that she’s hot). Jennie is the main rapper and lead vocalist. Lisa is the main dancer and lead rapper. Eventhough, some have no position in rap, dance or vocals, all of them are good at it cause they are all trained in those aspects before becoming an artist. They auditioned and become a trainee of the company. Then they trained for months to even years. If the company think you’re good enough and if they found a good fit for you, they’ll debut you to the public
All of them are not dancers. Jisoo is below average for a dancer. Rosie ( lead ) is a good dancer and can be better and Jennie is good but not as good as Rosie. The only dancer in the group is Lisa ( main ). And also most probably the best female dancer of 3rd gen. Also in vocals Rosie is the only one who has the technique a singer should have. The other 3 are good but not great to considered vocalists. As for rapping.. obviously only Jennie ( main ) and Lisa ( lead ) have the talent for it. And are one of the best rappers of 3rd gen.

@@RadostinaPetrova i think the different is... blackpink are known for singing live all the time so thats why their choreography isn't as hard. Whilst groups like twice - tend to not always sing live because they're choreography is too difficult. If you are looking for less girlish routines check out the HOW YOU LIKE THAT dance routine
A few things that I would like to point out as a fellow dancer that follows KPOP: - BLACKPINK is not a dance focused group. They barely do these choreos in concerts (since their concerts are 2h long), and their MICS are always turned on during performances (unlike 90% of the boygroups that do those crazy choreos on inkgayo, where the backing track does the job for 3 short minutes...), that's why there's a lot of hand movements and no "get on the ground and do crazy acrobats". - This video is clumsy even for BLACKPINK standards (there's a part where Rosé steps on Lisa foot) ... My guess is they recorded this without much rehearsal since they where in a hurry, if you watch their SBS fancam from the inkgayo performance you can see a much more energetic dance with incredible precision... Theres a moment here where you see Jisoo barely being able to do a knee squat, since she was probably exhausted from the warm up... - They released an album with TWO promotional tracks, plus the other choreos we didn't see and they will present in their TIKTOK live show. Watch the 'Pretty Savage' direct fancam on SBS (without all the camera bullshit), and you'll see what real choreo looks like... - YG is not SM/JYP, and BLACKPINK is not EXO, TWICE, ITZY... Other groups like WINNER, BIGBANG, 2NE1 and AKMU don't even have hard choreos, they focus more on the feeling of the song. That's because YG groups perform differently and not trying to be KPOP robots... I actually wish YG used the backup dancers a little bit more instead of putting the four on the spot all the time. - The thing you pointed about muscles is true, the lack of body mass and muscle growth prevents them from having a certain explosion on choreo ,and since they are on FULL ALBUM promotions/rehearsals/interviews, they probably are tired ASF even in this video... Anyways, you seen disppointed, but that's on your expectations of KPOP standards and not BLACKPINK fault... Thanks for the reaction.

Please watch their Netflix documentary "Light up the sky" because they are trained for almost 6 years and they very talented. Once you watch it, you'll understand them more individually.
Fun Fact: Learning the dance of 4 songs and remembering them so that they can perform on stage for fans is a very difficult procedure which many cannot master. So just enjoy the music. The dance will be the best even if they just stare at the screen. #blackpinkfacts

Lisa is a really good dancer like others said in comments. She can do a chore after she saw it only one time. When bp were in training, Lisa did many of them choreo. Right now, I think that the others members do the major part of the chore and she only say if some moves are okay or not
I really recommend Lisa's solo dance films. Especially "lilifilm 4" it has the hardest choreo i believe and it's my favorite
A few comments... 1) This appears to be filmed in a choreography room in the company's new building. 2) Lisa (the main dancer) definitely holds back in group performances to not outdo the others, but they are all very competent dancers. Watch Lisa's solo dance videos to see what she is really capable of. 3) This is one of their more "girlie" songs. Watch a performance video of Pretty Savage to see a "harder" style.

@@Orgil0122 I'm not a solo stan. Lisa is acknowledged as the best dance. Yes, she holds back in group performances. Rose has the "best" voice. Jennie has the most versatile voice. Jisoo has a great sultry voice. Jisoo is my bias.
I have noticed this for a while but they get really thin during promotions and especially during tours. They practiced really hard and burning through lots of calories. When between promotions they regain a bit, still thin but healthier looking.
well Lisa just proved how girl group members can easily dance to boy group dances without even exaggerating the moves. check her dance practice of Kick back with Ten and you'll be very surprised
Oh yeah I'm sure I'm not the first one to respond to this question, but yeah, they all went through a lot of training, like a lot, minimum 4y. But anyway, just stumbled upon your channel, and I like the commentary you give, it's precise and not harsh like I supposed it was. Great video all around ! I think the whole point of their choreographies is to entertain, moving positions, making grupal movements, etc because they sing and dance at the same time so they really make a whole show
Love your reaction, given your dance background. The cool thing with Blackpink is they are fit & healthy despite their image of being skinny & gorgeous looking. If u watched enough Blackpink MVs & dance practices, you will notice that they dance non stop during their songs. Hence, most of their songs are less than 4 minutes. If you love this, try reacting to 'Don't Know What To Do' dance practice. It's my favorite song from them.

Blackpink really have a good chemistry and teamwork.. they also mentioned that they have the same goals which is blackpink so I think that played a big role in why they all look like they're at the same levels whenever they perform together.. but, if you watch Lisa's solo dances you'll see her true potential in dancing. she's holding back for the chemistry of the group. It's not a bad thing it's actually really nice to watch them have the same energy. But, yeah there's so much more to each member.

The reason why they’re in the same level of dancing it’s because before they become idols they train for who knows how long maybe months or two years and they’re called trainees so they have trained a lot when they were trainees and also they have been dancing as a group for years so that’s why they’re in the same level of dancing and also that they give inspiration to people because they have so much different personalities and they’re so different and that’s why I love it❤️

This group wasnt has a heavy Choreos... YG's artist like Bigbang, Winner, Akmu, 2ne1 even they didnt have it. They focus on vocal and swag. I think its nonsense when you should sing live but in the same time dance so heavy. How abt your breath? Its not abt dancing performance, this is idol who should sing live and dance in the same time. These girl no lipsing although there are a backtrack. Anway thanks for react our girls.
Whistle, Boombayah, DKWTD, KTL are really heavy choreographys, that needs a lot of strong..
They change positions many times not only to bring the current singer to the front, but to indicate that they are a group with equal importance.

Lovesick girls is a little more vocally demanding compared to their other songs. Hence, the low difficulty choreo. Blackpink capitalizes more on strong stage presence and live vocals in their performances, a staple for YG artists. They're not very heavy on choreo, but they're competent dancers nonetheless. You should definitely checkout their live performances and other dance practice videos and maybe you could point the differences.
You gotta also consider the fact that when kpop girl groups have a comeback their choreo must be also in lined with their outfits since girl groups tend to wear skirts or heels while dancing and singing. If you have watch their documentary “BLACKPINK:Light Up the Sky” their stylist are also handpicking each clothes for the girls since BLACKPINK isn’t like your typical girl group with the same theme for clothes each girls have different set of clothes & the staff and the girls have to choose clothes that even if it’s not the same theme it will look pleasing to the eyes once they perform as a group. Just like u already know their a yg artist so their known for their stage presence, & singing live with bands and choreos are already a bonus as a matter of fact. Just imagine a girl group performing live and dancing while on their heels & sometimes with uncomfortable outfits well not any boy group can pull that off

You should watch some of their guides or the netflix special bc they trained for years in dance singing and performing as kpop trainees. Lisa was born dancing though and her talent is another level.

“BOOMBAYAH” BEST DANCE OF BLACKPINK
Idk if you know already, since this video is 4months old, the area they used is a studio/dance practice area in ygx academy. 😊 There are two other backgrounds also with different vibes.
I'm not a trained dancer or even great dancer. So I don't know what's really hard or not, it all look's hard to me. What impresses me with BlackPink is how in sync they are, doing the dances. Also after seeing alot of their live performance video's, they are in sync dancing and also able to sing & rap so well while doing these dances.
I think part of the reason Kpop girl groups do so many hand movements is because those are easiest for teen girls to imitate. Hopping around to the beat requires a lot of muscle and isn't as easy. But hand motions, fans can copy those sitting at their desk or in their car.
Kpop is not just about dancing and that is what Blackpink is showing
Their dance break or the last part is actually hard hehe. So many beats and once you miss one, you'll be out Hehe
If you watch a lot of there vlogs, reality shows, lives etc. you would see that they are always eating and exercising it’s just there natural body type

I’d say that the girl kpop groups tend to have moves that smoothly flow into each other, where as male kpop groups have a lot of choppy choreography where one move goes abruptly into the next. They’re a lot more sharp and quick, where as the girls choreography is very connected.
The Love sick girls Blackpink is actually like a nice and soft version during the dance and their other songs are more hard for example kill this love so they have different types of style dance in each song.

They are good, because they train in a trainee program that is meant to break them, for years. Also, A lot of people think they are anorexic😒. They actually eat ALOT, LIKE ALOT😆. They stay slim because they do ALOT of yoga, ballet & in Lisa’s case, boxing. Plus they practice almost everyday. They actually advocate for healthy eating, specially to their younger fans.

YG's new building is such a unique thing like that dance practice rooms are design just for that specific groups and one for every group they have and the building itself can be a music videos set if you want to see it i recommend treasure's "mmm" you can see the interior of the building there and it's so unique

Blackpink been trained for 5 to 6 years for 16 hours a day in 13 days 1 restday. If you see all their dance cover no dance group or boy group can match even pro dancer i seen many dance cover on youtube they copy the step but not the body movements.. and lisa know as a dance battle queen she's just humble..

I like Blackpink almost 3 years and i can tell You they have easy choreo but also so hard choreo. Im a biggenner dancer and i know You are better than me but this is just my opinion. Lisa is my Bias and You and her are my inspiration. Love You♥️💪

Please watch Blackpink Light Up the Sky on Netflix and you’ll see a little more about their training. It was years of training, 12 hours a day, 2 weeks on and one day off. No breaks. Also, a lot of kpop girls do Pilates to stay in shape and keep their bodies flexible and maintain their core strength.

Actually, kpop idols have a different culture training their artist compared to western. Thank you for pointing out their change in position, I think of the same reason, this give each members some window to showcase their cuts in the song. Also, one good mindset Lisa have as a the main dancer of the team is to make sure her members is at par with her so she looks out for the girls. Sometimes gives them tips on how to make steps easy for them. So for blackpink each holds a position. Lisa - Main dancer Jennie - vocals/rap Rosé - Main Vocals Jisoo - Vocals/Visual. But honestly all of them are visuals. So pretty girls. So yeah haha! Sorry just sharing some kpop here.

Blackpink choreos looks simple compared to boy group choreography but, honestly, I think the girls' choreos are hard to make look good. All the members of Blackpink are very graceful! Regarding how thin they are - to be honest, they don't look skinnier than many a professional ballerina (I mean, Ulyana Lopatkina was a toothpick before and after she had a baby) and ballerinas do MUCH, MUCH, MUCH harder, more difficult dancing than Kpop choreo. Finally, on the difference between girl and guy choreos, Taemin is one of the few idols who combines girls and guys in his choreos or, famously, for Move, uses only female dancers.

since comments below answered your question,im just gonna suggest you watch " Dont Know what to do" dance practice (coz thats the only official video that song has lol) its an interesting subtle feminine choreo and very catchy song ;) *plus i like the way you try to understand choreo from whole song perspective not just for showing dance skill.

To all people stop saying blackpink has easy choreo. And comparing with twice. Twice started having hard choreo after fancy era. That means they only got 4 MVs with tough choreo MV. Before that they used to have those cute candy pop choreos which was damn easy. And blackpink always had energy taking choreos since debut. One of their toughest choreography is I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO one. Plus it's not even title song. Blackpink is the revolution. Those girls are the best talented. They never lip sync unlike others (u know what)

Im gonna say it shortly They don't have easy cheography Litterly did you see don't know what to do, forever young, how you like that, whistle, pretty savage, boombayah, on the ground and many many more. people who criticize on dancing or singing are haters. when they dance and do live they can't sing well bacause they get tired, if you want them to sing then they have to have more easy dances and don't forget heals, reavilling clothes and sensitive days(Im pretty sure there are more).
