Having a look at Mentor Lisa in a Nutshell was an unexpected one! After doing reactions for Blackpink "Lovesick girls" and "How you like that" and of course 3 Lilifilm Reactions, this has been really highly requested.
This was a lot of fun to film so you guys enjoy watching it and let me know your thoughts in the comments! :)
I do not own the videos that I react to.

  • She was speaking English and Thai on the show. barely any Chinese (: In China people don't really like Korean so she spoke her native language (Thai) and English. the bangs part was so funny because there was a whole thing around her bangs at that time. During concerts etc her bangs never moved and people were so amazed and wondered how. In the official episode, the girl asks the question and before Lisa answers, there is a montage of Lisa dancing without her bangs moving. I hope that cleared up some things.(: Thanks for the video!

  • Chinese people and even the trainees praised her for how professional she is. Us as fans we didn't think she was though, we think she was very professional, but because she's Lisa from Blackpink and haters and fans of others kpop groups hates Blackpink, they made a scandal in social medias calling her unprofessional and rude.

    @AlejandraZJofre@AlejandraZJofre3 жыл бұрын
    • This!!! Like those speaking on how "harsh" Lisa might have been on the show don't realise that these trainees were already under an agency before even auditioning for ywy. So for those who shit talked about her not being a good mentor don't realise how hard the industry is in China. They were already prepped, Lisa was only there to posh them up and make them even better.

Everything she does is done respectfully but her goal was to improve the final 9 who demonstrated their skill level and they clearly appreciated her advice and support. She has acquired International Fame because of her determination and dedication to being the BEST. Her popularity has caused some jealousy by other Toxic Kpop idols and it’s SAD as she’s learned various languages and treats Netizens with extreme kindness regardless. Thailand is very proud of their girl.

  • The girl with a cute voice almost look like a kid is an actress an avid blinks so the other mentors are shock when she want the spot/chair for JonyJ(one of the mentor/the bald one) and the things she said to Lisa is actually thai (mai mee tangka) which mean I have no money/No money (its actually an inside jokes of blinks came from blackpink house their variety show). If you are wondering why Lisa is strict (well some mentor/trainer/coach in real have this kind of characteristics) its because a survival show. Majority of these trainees are already in a group or from previous girl group so they have experiences while some are just pure trainee from chinese company and some are actresses or singers. There's a limited time for this program so she want them to absorb everything and improve in her class, it might sound harsh for other people but she just want them to be prepared because idol world is crucial. Some anti accuse lisa for being rude when in fact she just doing her job, like these trainees are aware that they go through a lot in this show from physical training to emotional aspect. These just a compilation of Lisa being strict but actually after her class she came back to herself (The happy virus lisa) she even talk to trainees to take care those who haven't improve. The finale made me cry when Lisa cried because one her student (belongs during trainee-mentor performance) she didn't expect to debut made it, and majority of students her work for performance made it to debut. These compilation looks funny for some people because of the editing but some might find it offended because the caption they put on Lisa's POV is kind inappropriate. Now, mentor lisa is back for season 3 (boy version) I believe she are more strict now lol.

Most of the BP videos are on their singing or music videos, but I appreciated seeing her as a teacher and it's a very different side of her. I guess you don't know how much it takes to be a dancer, and at least not on a higher level, than just mocking around in some club. It's not a joke. They are there to perform, get judged, and in the end, eliminated. It's a not a playground. It's what a true teacher does. You pick at every detail, especially once you see them to correct them as soon as possible, or they develop into bad habits, and you're fucked basically. Was she just supposed to let it all slide, smile, and applaud them for their half assed efforts and work? NO! A teacher will only pick at those they know can and will do better. If they knew you sucked, they wouldn't even bother.

  • At 2:20, the girl says “I don’t have any money” in Thai, which is a huge running joke that started with Jisoo. It’s also a little ironic because that girl acting so cutesy is from a massively wealthy family.

  • actually.. why Lisa so strict mentor is because her teaching are girls that are trainee that wanted to achieve their dreams so Lisa have to be perfectionist in mentoring cause she wanted they to be the Kpop idol that are good at every thing in stage. It's just for them.❤️

  • Actually, fun fact, but for bonus thing (touching hands behind the back), it also can be different depends on the side. Like, when my right hand goes from up, I can connect hands even more, than with whole palms... But when my left hand goes from up, I can barely touch fingers of the other hand ;)

  • Esther Yu is an actress. That girl with a child-like voice. And that's her normal voice actually. At first you will find it word or annoying since it's unusual but she is actually said to be one of the kindest actress in China. She's rich but she doesn't just to be known for it.

  • Lisa got so much hate for making the comment about long hair being more suited but she wasn’t being mean she was just speaking from experience. When she became a trainee she had really really short hair and she instantly started growing it out when she got there. She was probably told she had to if she wanted to be an idol. Also I think she sounded harsher than she meant to because she’s not so confident in English. But also she taught them how she was taught by her dance teacher. BP always said their dance teacher was terrifying but that they were also incredibly lucky to have her. She’d make them cry constantly🤣 I think Lisa wanted to be the role model to them that her dance teacher was to her. She kept it super professional

  • AKB48 has a graduation system so members can leave whenever they want to they also hold auditions every few years. To explain how there are over 600 girls in AKB48. There are four sister groups that fall under the AKB48 umbrella each group is also split into sub groups that's members are rotated every few years ontop of there being trainee groups that's members are also rotated.

  • 14:48 I think that she is trying to keep her jacket from riding up while doing it so she points her elbow down and tries to pass her hand back past her shoulder and she doesn't have the extra reach from the elbow pointing up. She can't really say that she doesn't want her jacket to ride up - kinda seems like a cop-out - so she pretends she can't really do it. Its a dang stiff jacket, that one even the shoulder arch is still in shape while its up off her shoulders.
