  • I agree with Patrick. Atlanta either overpaid a QB coming off an injury. Or they wasted a top ten pick on a bench warmer. Either way, management looks stupid.

    • Not really, the Fans and the no nothing Media however are looking really BLANK.

  • Would have made more sense if they got one of the later round QB's that actually needed time to develop.

  • Should never have signed Kirk. Draft Penix and use that Kirk money to get other great players.

    • Really, they didn’t know, the analysts didn’t know, and you and I didn’t know where MP would be during the draft. Great move, CC can probably still get it done but why take a chance at next year and you don’t get a good draft pick - you still would be paying someone a large amount of money.

    • @@garyarnold2825 Have too many holes in the roster. QB wasn't the only problem.

    • Too late for that. They will pay 100 million dollars for Cousins unless they can persuade another team to pay that salary. I don't think they can. Cousins was grossly overpaid in Minnesota. And he is grossly overpaid in Atlanta.

  • I don’t see what all the fuss is about. If you see what the packers did with love and you have a young team who needs that qb to utilise their talents now and mature them ready for Penix. They have Cousins contract structure up front and the back gives them an out. If they only need him for a year then a team could trade for cousins and be safe that they would have him locked in for the interim till they found their path. Penix isn’t expected to perform right away and have the pressure that Arnold Wilson young and the rest have had where they crumbled under the scrutiny and never over came the set backs

    • Rodgers was already established in GB. Kirk has only been with the team six weeks. Big difference

  • Tired of the media pushing nonsense … you have no idea what the convo between blank and the GM was about …. Yes it was a weird move but if the eagles had done it y’all would say “howie does it again”

  • It all depends on who the OC and QB coaches are. If he's developed properly while sitting he may be ahead of some of the others

    • However as a packer fan,we didn't just sign a massive deal for a free agent QB. Also Rodgers wasn't going to be 29 when his rookie contact was up.
