Hi. Love your channel. My grandma used to cook pudding on the stove with milk. I was too young to remember her ingredients, but your video reminds me of her pudding. She made it on the stove hot milk and chocolate. When it cooled in the refrigerator it had a hard "skin" film on the top, under neath was smooth and creamy.
Me too. Granny made the best pudding on the stove. And that film part wasn't bad either. Hate Jello's version. But been afraid to try homemade version.
I need English Please
Actually it’s very easy. 4 c. Milk, 1c. sugar, 1/2c. cocoa, and 1/4c. corn starch. (Some do a pinch of salt. 1 tsp. Vanilla. 1tbsp. Butter) *to prevent that ‘skin’ on top, you lay cling wrap on top but it must be touching the pudding. But I like the skin, it tends to have a bit more ‘bitter’ taste that goes nice with the creamy underneath. My kids were spoiled when small. I bake everything. Of course my kids were shocked when the first saw that you can buy soup in a can. But my wife and I enjoy cooking together, it’s about the only time we like each other 🤪. Well except for when we made the boys😳🤦♂️🙄😂.
nice
Yes she made Pudding ... I still make it on the stovetop just like this vid. it is way better then any instant pudding
I made it today. I just put two cups of sugar and it was still very sweet. I think I would add it to another dessert, like cake, rather than eat it on its own. But it's very nice. 👍🏼 Edit: I thought the recipe was saying two or three cups of sugar. Now I see it's two thirds of a cup of sugar. No wonder it's so sweet. 🤣
It's okay I once thought a recipe called for 2tbs of salt. It was 2 teaspoons 😆

En Cuba le decimos natilla...yo la preparo mucho aquí para mi familia..es deliciosa.
I can’t even cook and I am out there watching cooking videos!! There is just something calming I can’t explain 🧡
you're not gonna get good at cooking if you dont try
Me too! I actually married a chef, and I have learned some things from him, but he is so fast and knows how to get everything done all at the right time, and perfectly seasoned... He doesn't do desserts though, so I watch these and drool.
I agree. I watch them to relax.
@@mosart7025 You are very lucky, does he do also other chores in the house? In that case you are married to mr Perfect.
You can cook, everyone can cook. Just watch a video several times.
Yes, there is a dessert or a component of desserts like this. It is basically caramel pastry cream in a ramekin. Looks good, I'll try it some time. In America many people call it pudding but I'm sure the store bought varieties are full of chemicals etc.
Oh I tried your recipe and it came out so so so yummy, everyone loved it 😍thank you so much💜
Amei! Vou fazer. Muito obrigada
Deve ter gosto de pudim! Parece muito bom! E intercalando com biscoitos deve ficar melhor ainda! Vou fazer. Obrigada pela dica.
Daí vira pavê kkkkkkkkkk
I am just making this desert for the second time, since the first time was a success. Thank you for the recipe.
Vou fazer com certeza❤
Que postre tan sencillo y rico. 😋
In India, we make almost a similar dessert, but without using the eggs. We call it " Mishti Doi " (sweet curd). After adding the boiled milk into the caramel, we add some green cardamom powder and let the milk become little warm. Then add 2/3 spoonful of plain curd and let it set for 5/6 hours. Then keep the dessert in the fridge. That's it. Its delicious and very soothing.

What is a plain curd?
That certainly looks yummy 🤤
i remember buying a pack of this stuff from the store, they come in little class bowls, just like the one in the video but smaller. you put it in the oven, and it’s very soft and delicious. i haven’t had it in a while though, but it’s good.
Sounds exactley like creme brulet. Is there any difference?
@@filizbooday8984 probably not! idk though haha
@@filizbooday8984 it is actually creme brûlée but these look so identical i thought they were too, but i’m a tiny bit sure they’re both custard so i think they’re fairly similar
Yes yes yes I used to also get it from the store it also comes with a little packet of powder or something that u put on
lies u cant package foods with eggs they expire fast, lies and fake news
Looks yummy. In Sri Lanka we make Wattalappam something similar to this. It's made with eggs, juggery, coconut milk and flavoured with cardamom. It's a traditional dessert made by Muslims.
(: Sounds Delicious Too ... ☺ (: What is "juggery"????? ... ☺ (: Or is it "jaggery"????? ... ☺ (A type of sweetener")!!!!! ... ☺
I have made this before purely as I loved the name !! It's an excellent dessert. And I use juggery in alot more things now

This dessert looks so delicious 💯%
Se parece A la leche Asada. Pero en Chile el caramelo Se derrite en la estufa Y terminamos de cocinarlo En El Horno.
Yes I know this sweet. In Germany we call it Pudding, in Italy it's called crema pasticciera and in Greece we call it κρέμα. Just we don't boil the milk in the beginning and we don't caramelise the sugar, instead we mix sugar, vanilla, starch and egg yolks with a little bit of milk and then add slowly the whole amount of milk and after that we heat it. So we only need one pot. And the amount of egg yolks can vary and some people use whole eggs. In Greece we also add cinamon on top, in Italy and Germany no. In Italy they can add a bit of gratet lemon peel. And in all 3 mentioned countries they can also add cocoa powder. In Germany I also have eaten it with melted chocolate inside.
We always topped custard with nutmeg.
So whole eggs give the same result? And also 9 eggs isnt it too much?
You gave so much info,i thought may be you can help me and may be quickly as well
@@irnasarwar5015 the more eggs you add, the less starch you need. The yolks give more taste, than the egg white, so the more yolks, the tastier. Theoretically you can also add 9 eggs if you use enough milk. I think the ratio should be around 6 eggs for 1 Liter of milk, but you'd better google that. I personally for 1 Liter of milk use 6 full table spoons of starch or flour, 6 table spoons of sugar and 2-3 eggs (depends on the size).
Gracias buenísimo el postre ya lo voy a preparar
Hi . I just finished it and it's in refrigerator. I tasted it before I put it in it wad really delicious. Like God I can't wait to have it
En mi país España se llama "natillas" y, aunque tiene muchas cosas en común, la receta varía un poco. Me recuerda a mi padre que nos las hacía los domingos y le salían de muerte. Un saludo desde Madrid 😁🤠

Yes delicious recipe
Pair with black coffee (no sugar) and top with crumbled biscuits instead of cinnamon. You can also place caramel at the bottom and then flip it and serve it like a pudding (in that case serve with a whole biscuits instead)
that's basically just tiramisu

Just cooked it. The only mistake I made was cutting the recipe in half. The desserts turned out to be so silky smooth and tasted a lot like caramel. I'll definitely make these again when caramel cravings hit.
can't we reduce the amount of eggs?
Why can't we cut the recipe in half?

Delicioso !!!
Yes, we have in Portugal, very similar.

As an Indian, it is very difficult to answer last question cause India is so vast in terms of food, culture and practices but i can assure that I've never even seen such kind a dessert. It looks very delicious 🤤

In the Philippines, it's almost similar to our "leche flan", an egg custard but w/o the cornstarch , poured on a caramel base, steamed, then served with the caramel base on top.

Yeah,.ur right,.my fav dessert
Leche flan... flan de leche, I think you've got that coming from the Spanish influence
Anyway it's international, every European country has it

wonderful dessert! We also make a similar one here in Greece with milk, sugar and semolina. ❤️🙋
that's not similar at all.
Do you mean galaktoboureko?
@@CxsG90 no it's a kind of cream
What it's name
We don't use corn starch here in India. We curdle up the caramelised milk(by keeping the mix undisturbed for a day or two in room temperature) with pistachio, ground cardamom and little pieces of almonds, saffron flower petals and cashew nuts. After the curd forms, we refrigerate it for serving after a couple of hours. I'll try this one though, looks and should be tasty. Thanks for posting. 🙏🏻😊
wat is it called ? im from India btw
