Cheers from Haulover Inlet! Where is everyone watching from? 🌎
Redmond,WA
Amsterdam the netherlands.
Uzebeckasota.
In beautiful New England at the moment. Highly enjoyable vid here WB. Good variety of boat sizes and types!
Highgate Vermont
Didn't realize that you could ruin a 42 Invincible by getting the bow wet... kinda figured they had planned for that possibility when they were designing a boat...
For me, the ONLY Inlet channel. Often duplicated, never replicated.
The lady did great with the Cobia!
Didn't see any boats getting ruined. Just another day at the inlet. I guess the Pershing was the million dollar boat. Looked fine to me.
9 million
That dark blue boat where you asked about the hull design.. looks like something uphere in Maine what boat companies uphere build.. like hinckley boat company or something .. there was a boat company uphere that Billy Joel had made him a boat.. and now Billy Joel makes boats with a company he help start on long Island NY..
Which boat was being ruined?
will never watch from this channel again. waist of time
Probably everyone's spines were ruined, boat's fine.
How is this ruined !? wtf ?
According to this 'channel' if it gets wet it's ruined. Tired of their big bad terrible headlines.
Damned water soluble fiberglass... don't know why they'd build a boat out of something that can't get wet... Wait, whats that, there's no such thing as water soluble fiberglass? Nevermind then, it should be fine...
@3:40 The boat saiz.. "There was a dangerous inlet here? Huh? I didn't notice..."
Vanquish made it look easy!!!
First boat someone must have gotten seasick and they were giving it the free haulover deck rinse
All the dogs at Haulover beach….Dang!!!!
$8.5m for a Pershing 9X doesnt surprise me......absolutely stunning yacht
I was kind of surprised by the top speed of 42 knots. They had one that was 115 feet that would do over 55 knots. Of course that was with 2 2,000hp diesels and a gas turbine 🤣
I would love to take my Nordhavn N86 through haulover to see how it performs. I am a west coast boater , maybe I will steam it out that way someday.
I love the hull design on the MJM but someone put the bow on upside down on that Vanquish. 😂
So nice to hear the waves instead of some guy yammering at 100 MPH. Indiana.
Naming your boat "Invincible " is tempting fate. No ship or boat is invincible on the ocean.
Americans pays huge money for those boats. That's why the name would make sense. The invincible build catamaran are good boats, they glide over rough season. but been able to afford it doesn't mean they understand how to drive it..
Hammer the throttle
IMO The skipper of the Invincible could have either increased speed by a few knots to lift the bow, or otherwise by quite a lot to lift the complete hull. From experience these big cats are quite comfortable tackling larger seas than that at speed with an approach angle of between 30 and 45 deg.
How do you feel they perform in following seas? I've heard nothing factual.
@Nomen Clature or invicisble could have designed a boat that hovers instead of floats
What are my thoughts on the hull design? 3:27 I think it's ready for "a three hour tour" 😉😉
It's a heck of a lot better than the new stuff with fore and aft arches and curves like 6:15. You lose me with that look.
what is a 3 hour tour? sex joke? lol
Looks like a downeaster type hull, made for speed, 20 knots or so, but very stable.
She can keep her nose up well, perfect for the inlet. 👍
That boat looked like it handled things effortlessly
MJM design-I like it. Reminds me of my bro’s old CC Constellation.
Guy at the end of the video was watching a Wavy Boats video on his phone!....
2:54 Wow that’s a broad beam!
What don't you understand about "Invincible" lol..
Captain Barney at the helm
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
which was the boat that was ruined?
Can we get a time stamp on the ruined million dollar boat?
He said how to?
The MJM hull by Doug Zern makes Haulover look like child's play. It shows how a good hull works. Most other hulls are disasters.... the MJM just floats right in.
that 32 Nauticstar looks nice I dont know why they only made them for a year...
The invincible doesn't want to break his plastic gas tanks, 😂😂😂😂😂
2:02 Barb & Star go to Vista Del Haulover!
I miss the days of big heavy flybridge convertibles.
Not sure I’d ever temp fate by naming my boat Invincible. Nope. 🌺 1:01
Thats a lot of pillows in the Pershing 9
Invincible eh? 😂
How to stuff a million dollar boat! lol
Where? I watched the whole video, didn't see anything that happened. What timestamp?
@@MrDLKZhead very first boat.
"Could this be a new captain"..... well, probably, but it's more in-line with the modern, American Male. Sissies, candies.... we used to call them other names when I was younger.
In the first clip. As a Norwegian that's used to big swells. To move slowly and let the boat naturally absorb the energy from the waves is basically how it's done. You live for sitting and nerding about every single fault these people do. This guy is doing exactly what he should do
It's not. You are supposed to "ride" the top of the wave so your boat ends up with it's bow just over the next wave avoiding getting it dunked into it.
"As a Norwegian" I'd love to film you run Haulover in that manner on a 3-5 day. Would make for some great content watching you "absorb the energy". 👍
Where's the " ruined boat"
Haha, yes. You're so right, I never thought I'd meet you here. How have you been doing?😊
That first boat didn't stuff, and it could take that pounding all day, although the passengers couldn't.
There's a kid in the baw on. The cobia
7:42….why is there a snow machine strapped on the back of that boat?
Yes get up on plane
Man, dude made that Invincible cat look... uh... Vincible? Like how do you manage to stuff the bow with that thing? Clearly dude does not watch enough KZhead.
That first vessel going out was to slow, and didn't have the stern up to take on the waves. And I think the captain didn't have any experience with the vessel and the waves of Haulover. I hope the gentleman in the bow didn't hurt is back on the that stuffing incident, I mean the vessel really slapped the water.
She did really well, just steady and in control, definitely 👍they must be small state rooms
Pulse throttle or some say, Surf throttle.
What is the best way to approach these waves then, going fast right?
Man, if that boats ruined my boat is was ruined the first day i took it offshore.
Bridge city,Texas
👍👍
MJM 43zi is ocean class A rated boat. So rather strong.
Goin the extra mile to bring her man a sammich.
You have to wonder just how many of these boats especially the single handed larger ones are coming back with a load of talc on board. It's an expensive thing running them out just for a jolly, I'm sure plenty do but I bet you a good few are doing the run 🧐
Talc?
@ 5;46 looks like Mickey Mouse on the flying bridge .
He didn't ruin anything other than his reputation. That should have been a light chop at 30 knots in that boat.
2:30 I thought they did fine in those conditions, for that boat.
2:36? Why ask? Now bow riders. No stuffing.
Yo that big boat had a bunch of suspect looking sacks inside... not saying hes running illegal coffee shipments but...
Hit the gas fool!
Why people have quads motors in a expensive boat, why does the boat has no engine like 1300hp in his stomach and a single propeller
It’s weird because usually the captain of a boat that size and price is very experienced and an experienced captain should now to get on plain in a situation like that!!
I knew a guy in the mid 90's that bought a half million dollar express cruiser and then told us he didn't know how to operate it. He had it delivered to the marina and wasn't even on board for the delivery.
The captain of the Million dollar boat could have done a lot of things better one of them was to stay home
They’re not really stuffing though are they, just what I’d call getting a bit of slop over the bow. A stuffing is when they’re at speed, truly driving the bow under, and the boat toward the bottom of the ocean.
No issue here
1:38 that clicking is a problem. Oil, exhaust or gasket leak, trimmer motor among a few issues that needs to be checked out.
HOW TO RUIN - yes, show us, i did see nothing about ...
I don't understand why you would design a boat like that at 0:25?
The CC's get old. Shoot some big Vikings, Bertrams, Hatts, or custom convertibles.
Thanks for the feedback Roger!
Hydrasports.....best ride on the water. Notice the bow flare keeps the boat dry inside unlike most other boats.
That little boat is a million bucks??
A very capable Cat stuffing at haulover rules out just about anything other than poor captain abilities. The MJM hull...? Classic looks and functional design. Way better than a vanquish, pardo, Say, etc. The ladies handled that Cobia better than most of the guys running much larger rigs.
I know some girls in a tiny Boston whaler that can show a few of these folks a thing or two
Does the invincible have a new captain, or does it have 10 people on board for no reason ???!!!!????
Lady captain did ok BUT what about life jackets especially for the young girls????? If anything had gone wrong there’s no time to find jackets and control the boat.
These "boats" are looking more and more like floating beds. What's with the big open area in the back with nothing between you and the back of the boat?
The big open area is for fishing
If the boat is for more than just riding around, the open area is good for Ross& reels, coolers, dive gear& tanks etc.
the the boast isnt longer than 50 feet im not spending 1m no way in hell
The deep V hull design is perfect for the conditions of the inlet. Quarter the wave and allow the hull to slice through the wave. Deep V hull combined with the right motor and you can handle just about any wave encountered. I think it was Reggie Fountain who really fine tuned the deep V hull still being used today. Current design now boats have the three tunnels that allow for more speed with the boat riding across the water with only quarter of the hull on the water. I could be wrong but I think that is what I learned from his video on his life.
How can that be 1 million? It has basically outer surface and inner surface and small cubicle for steering. That is some expensive air.
So what happened to the crazy chicks in the blue top special. Did they move on?
Some larger boats pound the waves to hard and flat bottom can blow out a fuel tank. Been there done that.
wow a million dollar boat and it gets stuffed.
He should have bought a pickup truck and stayed on land. Easier to play redneck than pretend to be a boat captain.
Why are the vast majority of these enormously expensive boats fitted with outboard engines? Are they better used in salt water?
Quieter and faster. They just make more since for a boat with a planning hull.
@@Stephen85 gotcha. Thanks for the reply.
Much easier to change out an outboard. If an engine goes bad also considerably less maintenance.
@@Stephen85 not necessarily faster... with more props in the water for same power (than 2 big i/o or inboards), you get more drag. All these outboards could actually be heavier than 2 larger engines of same power. Also, all the weight is on the transom, whereas with inboards you have engines deep in the middle of the hull. However, maintenance and engine swapping MUCH easier. Basically pros/cons for both.
@@searay7723 yeah there is a lot to it but I was trying to be short. Some of the blue water fishermen specifically tune their inboard diesels to raise and lower in pitch in order to draw billfish up towards their spread of baits. You get a lot more transom space to handle landing large fish and a boat with twin inboards can hold up on a spot much better than a boat with outboards. You can basically pivot in one spot by reversing one engine and running the other one forward, which makes docking a lot easier too.
NICE TO HAVE A MILLION OR MORE , TO SPEND ON A BOAT THAT HAS NO PLACE TO SLEEP , AND I PRESUME NO HEAD . ALSO UNLESS IT IS QUITE CALM IT IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR PEOPLE TO BE IN THE FRONT . AND THIS KIND OF BOAT IS ALSO QUITE WET FOR EVERYBODY ON IT .
Yeah the first boat should have never went out in that crap
Gals had the right idea..go through slower
Did they died?
Completely ruined! When they added that shiz radar unit
You are too quick to judge captains!
First!
Confirmed! 🏆
So why do these boats Do this? Is the trim set wrong or not enough speed?
The waves stack up really bad in this inlet. Any boat under 100 foot is gonna get tossed unless they have enough speed with the bow high enough, but that can go wrong too.
Navigating an inlet the right way calls for experience A lot of people have recently moved to Florida and want the whole Florida experience so we get a lot of noobs and credit card captains who instead of being sensible and learning how to navigate on a beginner boat, decides their first boat will be a 36 footer that they go off and do noob stuff in
How is that a good way to ruin a million dollar boat? Do you suppose that these types of boats are designed to be out in rough sea's? Seriously!?! Enough with your drama!
Any chance u can not show the boats featuring paraphernalia related to 'Donald "traitor" Trump*'. I've got ptsd from all the damage he's done. It's Florida so i know that's gonna be hard to do.
This doesn’t look fun to me…tooth-cracking, spine-jarring, nausea-inducing….🤢🤮
Vanquish is one ugly boat!
Mas dinero que cerebro. No need to translate that one .
The classic. 😂
piss poor bow designs on a lot of these new style expensive boats...negative sweeping (downwards) bow curves...you can easily see that they love to dig into the waves...submerging themselves Very bad. very unseaworthy. UNSAFE to say the least.
Do it their way and you will blow millions of dollars at some point.
