    • Its not a dangerous country at all I lived there when I was very young 7/8/9 and I wandered about Maala Strait and then Tarshyne and went to the beach on my own every day - I was a free as bird and nothing bad ever crossed my path - I was little foreign girl wondering all on my own.

    • While this was beautiful video, the narrator is extremely misinformed on Yemen, it's history, and culture, in the beginning he stated that it brought different groups that took the land, that's incorrect, 2nd the information about Romans using it blood tree for wounds is also misleading, the Romans attempt to invade Yemen from Aden, once and failed, Sacottra Island sits some 300 km from mainland Yemen, The daggars not being sharpe, many minor details incorrect but this was edited and filmed beautifully

  • I once met a random guy in Sheffield in the UK whilst visiting on my boat. He asked for a drink of water and he got a cuppa tea instead... He spoke no English at all , and yet it was like we had been friends all our life ... he was from Yemen . He pointed to it from a world map I had. One day , knowing i liked burning incense he brought me some saying this was the real stuff .... it was !! Never had anything in the slightest since , nowhere stocks it in the UK... So so disappointing ! I never knew his name , but If he's an example of Yemen ... well ' peace be with you all ' !.

    • Yemeni incense are one of the best incense in the world but unforutienly you only find it in Yemen. even though there are some stores outside Yeme sell it but its not real its fake.

The incense in UK shops is bone dry and nowhere near matches that rich smell ! When I ask shop owners for the real stuff they haven't a clue what I'm talking about ...

  • Lived in Aden in the early 60's - I was 7/8/9 years old. I still remember the beautiful blue sky, the huge yellow sun, the beautiful sand, the gorgeous blue sea, the rocks and the caves, the goats and the camels - in those days they just wandered about as free as birds - I felt like Alice in Wonderland and never found it again and my heart is still there

  • I lived in Yemen for a couple of years at the beginning of the millennia. My mother and father wanted to visit us, but they really struggled to get travel insurance at that time. Anyway, they made it and absolutely loved it. They were made to feel so welcome everywhere. I miss Yemen so much ❤️

    • I lived and worked in Yemen from 2004-2008 and travelled the whole country. I was present when the Spanish tourists were killed visiting the Queen Shebas Temple close to Marib. Also when the Korean tourists were killed visiting Shibam and finally the Italian tourist who were kidnapped and freed by the Red Cresent. In 2008 our western housing compound in Sadda District in the Capital city of Sanaa was attacked by three mortars a bomb on our primates wall and small arms fire the following day. Yes of course Yemen is not dangerous?

  • I feel so lucky to have been in Yemen in 2010 for about a month for business. My hotel was looking towards Wadi Hadhramaut. When I was there I felt so ignorant, how come we never teached about the civilization(first multifloor buildings, dams etc.) in prehistory, today airplane to Yemen is almost like a time machine brings you to thousands of years ago. And I remember very friendly people there with their unique traditions. I am sad about the socio-political situation since I left, hoping to be over in near future.

  • my mother and brothers went to yemen after I was shot in somalia where I come from, as mother had a name of someone who was yemeni and that way we could get a passport lol... we used live there behind a indian store pretty big... I can remember a downed aircraft there and also getting a sigaret pack fort this store owner who would give a pie for it, when went back the grown ups uncles or causins took it away from me and said I stolen them and probably ate it up... rice and banna were nice there till we got passprt and went to egypt.... from there we got to italy and by train to holland where I stayed for 30 years and still stay lol... my mother however robbed me o my arabic or egyptian speeking as she was afraid that the hollandinin wouldnt know we come from there and would send us back to nowhere.... eventually I lost many of knowledge of arabic and egyptian language...

  • اليمن افضل بلد في العالم من حيث الكرم والضيافة ولا يؤذون اي شخص قادم اليهم بالعكس يحفظونه كثيراً ولا يؤذون الا من يريد ان يؤذيهم او من يتجراء ع نساءهم ...انتبه اذا كنت في اليمن ان تفعل شيء سيء لاي مرأة ..فهم يعتبرون المرأة كالملكه ..لذلك يمكن يعطوك ما تريد لكن لا تؤذي نساءهم او اي شيء يتعلق بالشرف
