One will need to spend a life time to explore Indonesia with its hundreds of languages, myriad of cultures and flavorful cuisines. A country of thousand of islands which is truly blessed with beautiful landcapes, fine weather and friendly smiling people. Great video 👍, can't imagine the amount of time and effort spent to take those great sceneries.
As Indonesian born in Java, I only visit Sumatera, Kalimantan and Bali due to job duty 😁. Exactly! It is need lifetime to explore Indonesia
Visites Indonesia backdoor in the 80’s. In 6 weeks I only scratched the surface. I rode my bicycle through Bali and Java. There is so much to see and the people were delightful. Fabulous country, and I highly recommend bicycle travel. People want to meet you. This makes me nostalgic!

The first time I went to Indonesia the guide book told me there was 2,500 Rupiah to the dollar but the Indonesian economy collapsed and I got four times that. I stayed in hotels that I wouldn't have been able to afford and I had a lot of fun!.
I'm proud of my country, Indonesian people are friendly but patriotic at the same time. Every citizen is ready to voluntarily defend every inch of our land and water. Even with our lives. Our independence was obtained with struggle by sacrificing blood and life of our heroes. Thank you so much for making this documentary and directly promoted our country to the world. 🙏🙏
You can find snowy peak mountain in Puncak Jaya in Papua, , but there is another place where you can get snow, or well "snow". Dieng Plateau in Central Java is a historical place where you can find 8 Hindu temples made by the Mataram Kingdom around the 7th-8th century. Other than the temples, the place is also known for its cold temperature to the point where it can get snowy because it is sitting at 2000m above sea level. The reason why I said "snow" before is because it's not really snow like Canada or European countries or any other countries with winter, the snow is far less crazy than that. It's more like snowflakes or frost. But it's still pretty cold there (at least for most of us tropical islander people). The locals call it "bun upas" from the local Javanese dialect meaning "poisonous dew". The reason for the name is because it makes the crops there (mostly potatoes) die. So yeah, you can see that the locals have a love-hate relationship with it. I said love-hate because the place is a tourist attraction. A lot of people visiting the place for the temples and the unique "snow" that can't be found anywhere else in the country (with Puncak Jaya as the only exception). If you want to visit the place during "winter", you can visit around July-August, which is funnily enough July-August is the dry season for the rest of the country.

The west side are Asian species and the east side are Australian species. The line is called Wallace line, named after Alfred Wallace, he also discover evolution theory, but Darwin didn't give him credit. That line inspired the theory of tectonic plate.
