📺 Animal or primal flow looks similar to yoga, calisthenics or capoeira. The movements are more primal and imitate locomotive patterns of animals. It requires minimal effort to get strong, resilient, flexible, relaxed and to increase coordination.
Motivated by the primal flow of Michael Vazquez on YT, Tayo decided to challenge himself with this 30 day mobility challenge. He did animal flow exercises 15 to 30 minutes everyday. The results of this movement based training were amazing. He found his own flow to tackle immobility and awake his inner animal/child. In this video you can see where Tajo started, his progress and the resulting ability to flow freely on his own.

  • Very inspiring. It's almost as if you're unlocking what our body initially was made for, but we all tend to lose due to our lifestyle habits. And that progress over just 30 days is remarkable.

  • As a 53 year old life long martial artist I’d taken this for granted. However during covid I had to solo train and concentrated on this (gynastica naturel) I think some call it, and callisthenics- I can without doubt say it is the single most effective routine you can do. I actually feel like I am getting younger. Great and inspiring video thankyou.

  • I’m so glad I stumbled on this. I’m 35 years old, and have focused only on “mirror muscle” and lifting big weights. As I’ve got older, my body and mind have suffered as a result of ignoring the very nature of our bodies. This way of playing and moving is so healthy for our minds and our bodies, I can’t wait to get started! PS amazing job with the editing and sound track. Got me some goosebumps watching it 😊

    • I'm closing in on 60 years old, and this brings back memories. I grew up in the woods, running around like a little heathen. :) But I also received training in martial arts (karate, and eventually Wing Tsun and Hung Gar kung fu). This is very similar to the Kung Fu training to move like animals, without the focus on avoidance, defense, or attack. Very interesting!

    • Same, bud. Same. There are more functional ways to do heavy lifts (like kettlebells) if you want those big muscles. Tons of this primal stuff for mobility, kettlebells for mobility-integrated heavier weights and just a couple of "grind lifts" for things like biceps and side delts.

  • Dude what a find, this looks great! Lots of overlap with things wrestlers do, some Bak Mei Kung Fu, some basic stretching, gymnastics, a little MMA, some functional. This could be the most efficient and effective warmup going. I think after about 20 minutes of this, every cell is going to be ready to go. My current warmup is pretty good, this is likely the next level upgrade.....Just the Bear Crawls alone look like they will do it, I can only do those for about 3 minutes before gassing out. Thanks for posting, I'm going to give it a try.

    • Thanks for your feedback and it really became my standard warm-up routine. I currently learn to handstand and do this almost every day, even 5-10 min and you are on fire.
