Stealing Black Swan's eggs... to save them

2021 ж. 8 Қаң.

In the middle of the winter, Black Swans in Holland sometimes lay their eggs, because their biological clock is still set to Australia. Mom will sit patiently on her nest, in the middle of the ice. I had seen this ending wrong last year, with beautiful little Swanlings that unfortunately had all died the next morning... this time I was going to intervene.

      @kailadang2614@kailadang26143 жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, while ducklings are small, fast, yellow and striped mostly, the swan chicks are dull, grey, bigger and perhaps seem clumsier. Since the swan chick was different, ugly, he flew away in shame and spent many months alone, growing up. He saw a flock of beautiful swans one day and they asked him to join them, but he said his ugliness was not fit for their beauty. They were like “Bro, look at yourself. You’re just like us.”

  • You are awesome for doing what you do!Thank you so much for caring about animals as much as I do! I must say watching your videos I just want to reach through the screen and snuggle all these wonderful and beautiful animals.My husband and I have a ton of Muscovy ducks at our apartment complex and we treat them as if they are ours.We have fostered many ducklings that need help and it is the best feeling to help a little duckling.
